Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

OK, so I have no problems with flying the A320 and spend most of the flight on autopilot. With the A320 I set the managed altitude to 12,000ft, say, and the ascent rate to 2000ft/min and it climbs to that altitude fine. I normally have managed speed selected so it climbs at 250knots up to 10,000ft and then over 300knots after that all good. So when I then want to go to cruise at 18,000ft from a stable 12,000ft then I change the managed altitude to 18,000 an reapply an ascent rate of 2000ft and all is fine. Do I need to change/disable anything to get the improved AA performance?

I know a lot of people are having issues with the latest release but MSFS just keeps getting better and better for me. A few things stand out so far... 1. The ground detail is really amazing. It feels like I am finally seeing examples of those post-launch videos. The scenery pops. 2. Not seeing nearly as many jaggies as I did before. Things look very realistic. 3. Performance has improved when ending a flight and going back to the main menu. Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing for the stutters, but it is what it is at this point. Given when was on one of the YouTube videos, it looks like you can create a plan for an A320. When I went into the page where you start the flight (which aircraft, etc), it will allow me to tell is where I'm flying from and to, but it doesn't allow you to import a plan from anywhere - it looks like a manual input to the FMC. Is there anywhere I can import a plan from? The flight I first looked at was from EGNT>LEBL, and the plan the MSFS came up with was terrible - it have going to and forth. Any help for creating a plan and importing it would be useful. Gaz

Sat at SLC for an hour after arrival from DEN, not a single departure or arrival and not much out of Denver and enroute. Monitored with LiveATC and Flightaware, there was plenty going on. Sigh.

I'v downloaded about thirty different addons such as liveries to my MFSM 2020 game but only a couple of them work and the rest don't. The game is installed on an external SSD and the community folder is located in the game folder ! Is this why i'm having issue ? BTW is it good to use ModMan FX64 for the management of addons ??

A new patch just released for download. It seems to mainly be addressing MSFS recent up date issues but also has some FM tweaks. I flew the Japan Tour that came with the Japan World Update about a month ago, and thought it'd be nice to fly it again one day. Now with the Halloween landing challenge in place, it disappeared and seems to be gone for good. I've even checked the sim data folders to see whether it's still around somewhere as a flight plan, but to no avail. Of course I can recreate a similar flight myself, but the tour was laid out nicely, including many landmarks, so it would've been easier to just use the existing flight plan. Has anyone found the Japan Tour files somewhere in the MSFS folders?

So happy to be able to now load a flight without a destination and then load a destination from the cockpit and be able to load and activate approaches.

Hi Just noticed i am getting updates to various default aircraft this morning in the content manager, anyone else ? And Asobo created airports... or is it only the premium deluxe versions getting this as the lack of replies seems strange.

And again: Pretty word not allowed sure that 9 out of 10 places shown in this trailer having beautiful water masks do not look anything close in the current release of the sim... I call it false advertising and it really drives me nuts. Do they ever stop? Or even better: do they finally provide those water masks at least at those places they show in their world series trailers?

I have downloaded the latest update to MSFS 2020 and the above key combinations no longer seem to work properly! Before the update and when flying the A320 Neo the keys moved the cockpit views up and down as expected. Following the update the key combination just behaves erratically , moving the camera view all over the place. Anyone else had this problem or have I just inadvertently changed a setting somehow ?

Hello folks and specifically third party developers, At the moment, MSFS uses default airport lighting on all airports (default and payware), I think the SDK doesn't allow to change this ad the moment? Has anyone heard any info about having this customized in the future?
