Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I've just downloaded the latest beta build. All panels are black. I removed all other addons related to this, like all garmin mods. I kept the CJ4, though.

I know it existed in older versions, but I haven't been able to find the Hollywood sign in MSFS. Does anyone know if it's there?

DRF30q created a superb mod for the C152. This is currently on V0.17 for quite some time and found here: https://github.com/DRF30q/C152X Now there is is also another more recent mod I came across created by N95JPL (JP Logistics), here: https://github.com/JPLogistics/MSFS_C152/releases/tag/V0.9.0 I am not sure if I have interpreted things correctly though - are these two completely separate mods and you chose one or the other, or do I need to place them BOTH in the Community folder, or, as I think might be the case, is the JP Logistics mod a further enhancement of DRF30q's mod (i.e. they have been merged) and this is therefore the ONLY one I need?

I installed the new hotfix this morning and loaded a flight in the TBM-930. 15 minutes into the flight, the game froze then CTD. I'm not happy with FS2020.

I see we are now getting the correct AIRAC Cycle being displayed. Progress in the works!! (or is this just on the A320 mod)? (Of course, I should mention that I am using Navigraph NavData).

I can't see any other 787 airplane except the one I'm flying. I have the premium deluxe edition and play with offline (computer generated) traffic. I don't see any other 787 anywhere, neither flying nor in the airports. I see a lot of A320 and quite a few 747, but weirdly enough no 787. Is this just me or a known bug, do you see 787's in your game?

Am currently experiencing a wall of frustration trying to complete my first flight in one of the GA planes, after the take-off run it is uncontrollable,,... before i go into a spiral down to a crash, i get a tantalizing view of the scenery i am being denied ... ???

I'm not sure if the megapack is fixed to work yet but there was a workaround uploaded couple days ago. Maybe it is not needed any longer, I don't know.

I've been looking at Simmarket in the last few days filtering out FS2020 scenery. Allot of great options are available. FSXScenery is doing a great job with their versions. I originally couldn't get St. Pete in Florida to work but now it's fixed. All their other scenery looks concerning what I downloaded. Sanford in Florida had a slight cargo hanger height issue. I'll have to redownload to see if they fixed it. Other than that their scenery looks great. Their doing better in FS2020 than they did in previous versions. Concerning the other developers releasing scenery we have to great options being available without much fanfare. Just thought I'd let everyone know …

After the recent 10.8 update, I now seem to be having all manner of problems entering the fuel and payloads into the A320Neo FBW. So much so, that after attempting such an operation, the following occurred: Before the update, I could double click the relevant weight and or quantity, then just type the required value. Now, all manner breaks loose when I attempt this with the value 'anchoring' itself to a tiny value such as "0.99". Any further attempt to overwrite this ends up with much the same value. After the update #5 I am getting this weird effect where the C172 simply won't leave the ground. All seems normal, but after accelerating to takeoff speed full back on the elevator simply raises the nose wheel about a foot, but no takeoff. I have been flying the C172 for weeks with no problems. The problem seems to be confined to the C172. I have tried several of the other prop planes and they are all fine. I deleted and reinstalled the C172, no difference. The control surfaces appear to move when I look at the external view. I removed the upgrade to the G1000 that I had in my community folder, still no luck. Anyone have any idea what could cause this?

This was 8 years ago in FSX and this is now in MSFS 2020 What's even more amazing is that the 1st video is running with all the bells and whistles of 3rd party add-ons while MSFS is almost mostly default asides from the fbwa320nx.

HI, I lost my VFR MAP after pushing it aside. Pressing "v" or the map icon over several sessions failed to bring up the map. I finally got it back by going to the icon menu CUSTOM TOOLBAR and cycled TRAVEL TO. Now it works fine.

I havent had this bug in ages but today it got back... Suddenly my left mouse button didnt register pushing the buttons and I couldn't use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in cockpit. It worked in menus and UI but not in sim and when I moved my cursor to other monitor. I have had this same bug before but thought it was corrected yet it is here again. I can only put the AI to fly the plane because suddenly I couldn't push any buttons or zoom in. I am flying the TBM in vanilla sim. Anyone else had this problem and is there a solution for it ?

Ok, I've had enough of the wing drop issue in the 320. Some will say, well you have to maintain the speed all the way through touch down, negative. That would be unrealistic. So, if I remember right, the landing speed for airbus is at 1,23 vStall. That is 23% above stall. Now, if you fly the +5 additive, you gain an extra margin above stall. At any rate, when flying the actual MSFS A320, you should be looking at about a 3.3 pitch on approach +5 speed on a 3 degree glide path. A standard Flare in the scarebus is about 4 degrees of pitch change. Even though you minimize the bank to no more than 15 degrees on final approach, you have up to and a little beyond 30 degrees of b…

As most of you have probably noticed many airports can be quite dark at night. I do most of my flights during the day so I can enjoy the scenery. But I recently flew two night flights into large airports at night and was pleasantly surprised to see both the gates and parking stands well lit. Perhaps this was part of the lighting update in the last patch? Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks

Hi, the FlyByWire A32NX mod team appears to have created a temporary fix for the A320 where the #1 engine shuts down. To use this fix, you will have to fly the FlyByWire A320 and not the default A320 in the game (so it's much more than a fix for the #1 engine shutdown bug because the FlyByWire A320 has many more features and differences than the default A320).

For some reason I can't start the C172 and C152. When I use the mouse to turn the switch, the key won't move more than one position and then springs back. The only way I can turn the key to the start position is to use the start switch on my Honeycomb yoke. Then the engine will crank but then die. Got gas and mixture is in. So far all the other planes seem to start ok with the Honeycomb switch but the mouse controlled switch acts the same on all planes. Can't figure wnat's going on here. Jim 't

Hello, any advise please. My sim settings are configured to High but every time I load the sim there are all messed up with no reason. Any advise please?

Thought I will give MSFS2020 a try again, did the upgrade, and I assume it includes the hotfix (now on 1.10.8.0) but FSUIPC does not seem to work. Am I missing something?

You can find paths for your community folder and some other base folders by turning Developer Mode on. And then in the menu: Tools | Virtual File System | Watched Bases Hovering mouse over any listing shows the complete path.

I've downloaded MSFS 2020 Deluxe from Microsoft Store for a second time to find out that there is only two planes in my hangar ! Cessna 152 and TBM 930. What happened ?
