Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I'm getting CTD's when trying to load large airports. I've seen other's report SFO and KORD, I tried CYVR (vancouver) today and same thing happening to me. It causes a CTD when in the loading screen. I'm curious is this happens when you approach a large airport as well? Anything else? Sigh...... Edit: turns out not just large airports, but anything reasonably sized. KBLI (Bellingham, WA) a field with just a single runway, yet still reasonably sized, crashes as well.

Does anybody has a clue about this issue. Every time Windows installs this update, the sim does not start. The warning message comes to screen that "the request is not supported". I remove the update and the sim launches normally. Is there anything I can do? This has happened several times now.

As the title says I have tried everything, followed every guide on the internet and my computer just refused to download FS2020. Finally I decided to give the Steam download a try. I'm very happy to say it worked as it should have. So anyone trying to jump through all the hoops with Microsoft apps and still failing, just get it through steam. It does ask for your windows password upon download but then starts the download right away, no errors or pausing or crashing. It just works like it should. Much easier process. I am having MSFS2020 loading and then crashing in this area only I must confess on going a little gang busters with AddOns but every other area seems OK I am removing AddOns one by one to track down the culprit but I wonder if anybody else had a problem with a particular AddOn in this area-a favourite of mine for Bush flying xxd09

Hi there!I fly c172 classic with modded gns 530. When I select ILS approach it gives me for example runway 16 ils approach X and Y. What the difference between them and which one I have to choose? I used to a2a c172 gns 400 in FSX-SE, and it was so much simpler and different..

Hi fellow simmers. After 3 uneventful flights yesterday with no problems, my last flight of the day 10mins before landing the heading bug started incrementing in 10 degree steps for no apparent reason. I hadn't changed anything or pressed anything different as far as I'm aware. Is anyone else having the same problem? any help or ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance. Peter Porter

hoping someone out there using a controller, could advise a workaround for the fact the stick i'd use is self-centering, so keeping the throttle open(in a plane without an autothrottle) would involve keeping it open with a finger on it, which not all that convenient ..........

I havent read anywhere anything about time acceleration. For me it is a very important feature as I usually fly CRZ in 16x cos I have a life and am not getting paid for flying. I hope we will be able to accelerate the time like in earlier iterations of FS. Did anybody catch something somewhere on this topic?

I just downloaded MFS and played it for an hour or so. For people who are wondering, how it compares to X-Plane 11 - it really doesn't. MFS feels like a game. The only hyped thing about - the 2 PB graphics - they are surely better than X-Plane, but nothing amazing (I am talking not about special places like N.Y. or so, but actual random cities, which were not hand crafted). MFS doesnt have (or at least I wasnt able to find) "Cold startup", the controls with keyboard and mouse are possible, but only by using keyboard to steer (system doesnt seem to detect GlovePIE virtual joystick). Rudder also goes full left - center - full right. No inbetween like in X-Plane. Of course, …

Doesn't live traffic work in Europe? I've been watching at London Heathrow for an hour and apart from the working vehicles at the airport, it's completely dead, if I use offline AI it's not much better either, in one hour I've seen one plane land and another take off, and it's during the airport's busiest hours, normally I fly in the US around Seattle and there seems Live Traffic working great.

And again the TBM AP is acting weird.. Now the AP VS suddenly just went all the way to max and I couldnt disconnect it. Then it went -9000 and I could see the wheel go nuts. Why is it that the patch always breaks the TBM AP...

What are these hundreds of airports with the 3rd party content icon on the map? I just installed 6 or 7 but I see hundreds with that icon. Why?

So I just did some testing between a Cessna 172 Skyhawk and some airliners in some cities across North America. The Cessna 172 was giving me about 37 to 46 FPS in cities. The 787 gave me about 20 to 30 FPS in the same cities. And the A320 gave me about 25 to 33 FPS in the same cities and conditions. My settings are high and my resolution is 1080p. It looks like Asobo can optimize the airliners more. I assume other people are experiencing the same? That GA aircraft give 10 or more FPS better than the airliners?

Hello The AP is unable to capture and hold an altitude if the altimeter is set to anything other than 29.92. If you change the altimeter setting in the kollsman window, the AP captures the altitude that corersponds to the old 29.92 setting, not the new setting. Tried this in the C172 with steam gauges and the Bonanza. Anyone else had the same issue?

Flying the G36T (R. Young Turbo Bonanza) with the Working Title G1000 updates. I was established on the KOLM RWY 17 RNAV (GPS) approach. I had activated the approach prior to the IAF at CARRO. The AP tracked to CARRO then to BOSTO (IF) then to OPOYU, which is the end of the step down altitude changes and is the beginning of the constant 3° glide slope. I was at 2,400' (the required attitude at OPOYU) at the top of the white arc on the IAS flying the 176° course to the runway. At OPOYU, the last fix 6.8 NM from the TDZ, the AP made a 180° turn and flew back to BOSTO while the PFD and MFD both showed the waypoint to be OPOYU. The MFD also had the magenta line…

Hello, before I start making Zendesk tickets or whatever, I wanted to make sure the problems I'm experiencing are actually bugs and not me just doing things wrong. - A bit of a pet peeve but the airplane sways from left to right the entire route during cruise - I can't switch between mach speed and knots. Additionally mach speed doesn't work, it just holds the specific amount of knots when FLC was activated while showing a mach value in the display. If you want to fly below mach 0.4 things get really messed up, the bug on the speed tape indicates wrong and it resets to 250 or so knots everytime you press FLC, you can only reselect the speed by looking at the lit…

Downloaded twice from workingtitle web page, but each time the aircraft.cfg, in (...SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_CJ4) is missing. Does workingtitle have a support forum ? Any help ? If it is not illegal, could someone just email this file to me ([email protected]). Thanks, Dave Hinson
