Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi folks. So, I have a 32" Asus Predator monitor with g-sync. Running MSFS it looks great. However, I really want a bigger viewing area and don't want bezels in between multiple monitors. I have a good 50" 4K monitor but it does not have g-sync. Do you think I would suffer to give up g-sync? Does everyone use g-sync or freesync or do some of you not use either. Help with understanding what my sensible options are would be greatly appreciated. I have the machine to support 4K (Intel i9-10900K, ASUS TUF 3090 OC24, ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII WiFi motherboard, 32GB of 3600 RAM, and all solid state drives).

Southampton intl in the UK,,, I scrwed up an approach there but I dont know why,, trying to find a approch plate but all i find is airport diagrams and airways near it etc etc.. is it no longer in service or do I just dont know how to google? I checked skyvector also and aseverl other websites,,, weird.

It's another light aircraft, but the Australians apparently love it. It's out now, anyone tried it? Does it bring anything new in relation to the default aircraft of this kind?

Does anyone know if anyone has submitted a request to provide custom control profiles for each aircraft so that levers and buttons can be programmed according to aircraft? Just curious.

So Aerosoft has confirmed the autopilot logic for their upcoming CRJ will be their own custom autopilot system: Out of curiosity, I went to the FlyByWire A320 Discord channel and asked if in the future, the FlyByWire A320 will develop their own custom autopilot. And similar to Aerosoft, people in the FlyByWire Discord channel confirmed that they are able to create their own autopilot system, using their own custom autopilot logic as well. was digging for answers on why aircraft were so unstable and I found an article on sensitivity and how to adjust the cfg file. So I thought the same should work for stability. This is what I did and it made a huge difference in how the aircraft flies in MSFS. do not have MSFS open while doing this. When you have finished the changes , save and close everything then start up flight sim and check your results. This has worked for me and I can't guarantee it will work for everyone but hopefully it will. go here and pick an aircraft, I chose the G 36 as it is so unstable. What I thought was always lacking in older versions of flightsimulator and perhaps also XP11 is a sense of depth and height. I do not know how they have achieved this, possibly a combination of scenery rendering and dynamic lighting, but I find the sense of depth and height very very well done in this sim. This alone make this sim such an amazing joy for me and I cannot wait to use it on a bigger monitor or VR. Thanks again Asobo-MS to nail this very important feature of the flightsim experience.

I wonder if I am the only one who feels that the loading time from the main menu to the game has become very slow lately?

Every flight I've tried to make recently has been ruined by this bug. Randomly during mid flight, the game will stop registering mouse clicks or wheel scrolls on cockpit buttons. No tooltips show up when I mouse over the buttons either. I can't zoom in or out with the mouse wheel. However I can still freelook and reset my mouse view using mouse thumb buttons. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Does anyone have a pic that shows the correct seat height for a pilot who's about 6 feet tall?

I was looking to start a project which would populate various game reserves like the Kruger National Park in South Africa (which has various open border airstrip perimeters) with giraffe and elephant from the available library. The SDK doesn't seem to explain how this can be done as the 'Animals' section is TBD. If it can be done, and you know how, would you mind reaching out. Although I assume animals are just 'simobjects' and should in be able to be placed in the same way as you'd place a hangar?

So..it took me like 2 hours last night doing a few tutorials.But this opens lots of amazing stuff you can do with the sim!. btw...this is Buenos Aires.

A320 was better in 1.8.3 than 1.9.3, at least for me. It was at least flying with AP within the route and was landing properly, at 1.8.3 But it is not following the route and holding around the departure airport at 1.9.3 Is there a way to downgrade A320 to 1.8.3 back, until a new patch will be released ? Did my first flight with the SR-22 tonight. Was trying to get out of the mountains so gave this a try. Worked great and is actually very easy to fly (thank you Honeycomb for making an amazing yoke). However, I flew the whole trip by hand due to never being able to get the autopilot to work (thankfully made it out of the mountains before dark). What's the deal? Clicking on any of the buttons just gets a quick light flash (except VNV). Am I missing something?

Does anyone have an easy way of deleting cloud layers from the weather menu? I can delete wind layers, but I can't seem to find a button or any other way of deleting cloud layers. 🙁

Hello again folks. So I am going through the built-in training videos in the app. The first two went well. But I am stuck on the third because of fact that every time I apply full throttle and move down the runway, the video tells me I am not going fast enough to take off and starts me all over again. At full throttle and the parking brake released, I seem to be at an air speed of about 80 when the video fails. What am I supposed to do?
