Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

When I click the MSFS2020 icon, it just opens Microsoft Store now on "Gaming Services", with "this app is installed" at the top. I had a problem like this a few months ago but this time there is no way to update or install because the page just says it already is installed. Anyone knows how to get it going again?

Hello all, I do not know if I have a problem or if it is in fact, an MSFS problem. I noticed that after the last update, I no longer had the Citation Longtitude or the Boeing 787. Could not find them in the Community or the Official folder nor in the Profi8le/Content Manager. I decided to do a Re-install as 3 previous reinstalls have gone smoothly. I went through the normal, move the community folder, uninstall and then to Market Place/Gaming where normal download of the installation app (1.32GB) proceeds. Is there a DC3 in the works? Compared to the modern aircrafts, this should be a fairly simple aircraft to produce. I'll take any tail dragger twin..

Notice: Even if you are not flying it, the C182 can cause CTDs in multiplayer mode. If you have unexplained CTDs and have the C182 installed.. that may be the cause. As soon as an other user, flying the C182, appears within visual range, your MSFS may crash. Carenado has been advised.

I haven't noticed any picilated clouds in the last few days. Am I just lucky or did Asobo do a fix? Inquiring minds want yo know.

Hello, My flight route is from PHNL (Honolulu) - PKMJ (Marshall Islands) In msfs2020 on the world map the route looks good. There are two extreme turns in the A320NEO FMC flight plan. However, the autopilot does not change course. On the FMC flight plan it looks like you are flying back after the first turn. Do I have to edit the flight plan in the FMC in this region? I fly with the A320neo FlyByWire Mod

Wasn't the usa update supposed to update the hideous DC monument, white house etc? I got nothing on my end. Still the same weird black checkered monument with no top and no capitol building or white house. Makes me think maybe nothing else got updated for me either when that new usa pack came down.

The ms2020 sim has been working great until today when I updated it with the new patch. Everything was working fine until I installed the patch. After installing the new patch the sim still works great with the exception that after IFR flights it does no give me credit for the flight in my log book. It lists the flight but no time of flight and takeoffs and landings is given for them. After I land at a airport and taxi to the designated parking area and the blue arrows turn green I turn off the engine and the box pops up saying that the flight was successful and lists the flight time and number of takeoffs and landings. I purchased the scenery for Hong Kong (Hong Kong City Times, made by Sam Scene 3D) from the MSFS marketplace today. Hi guys. As Asobo finally have fixed mdl ctd bug in msfs, I have converted over 100 airlines from AIG traffic. (personal use, however I can give step by step how to do it) Problem is that they keep landing banked. Values are random starting from slight bank of 2 degrees up to 30... I have searched all over the place for solution but no luck. Anyone can give any clues where/which file is responsible for that? When they go around they still turning, but not from straight level but relative from banked angle which leads me to think that when they spawn, they spawn in an angle and that turns to be relative 0 point. I have used MSFS since release. Like everyone else who flys flight sims, frame rate was paramount in importance for me. Early on I settled on a frame rate lock of 30 FPS and vsync ON. This gave me a consistent and reliable frame rate of 30+, often reaching peaks of 35 - 40 in the MSFS frame rate indicator. All that changed with the last (US) update. After that my frame rates took a plunge from consistent 30’s to low twenties or worse yet teens. Also most of the bars in the indicator had now turned constantly yellow/red. I’ve been asking myself lately if the landing/touchdown sounds in the sim are too harsh? I landed the 172 the other day while on a NeoFly mission and the app reported a touch down of 24 fpm, you would think that’s pretty “buttered” 🤩 but the in sim sound was the usual hard thump! I wonder what real life pilots here think? Or anyone else for that matter...

Are the clouds moving in MSFS weather system? or are they just static? Without starting a discussion again in Prepar3d with Active Sky the clouds move with the wind / system. But standing now at the airport the clouds in MSFS just hang steady in the sky

For the ones, who prefer offline flying with atc, Pilot2atc; which is a very good tool for air traffic control including speech recognition, detailed flight planning and a moving map, is working with MFS2020 via FSUIPC7. I tested and seems to be working fine. But, as I realised, apart from Pilot2atc, FSUIPC is causing dramatic FPS drops. I hope this will be fixed in the near future. I wanted to share this info to whom it may concern. Happy flying...

Hi, so I just bought the product and tried to inject Live weather in the sim.. Something doesn't seem right.. The barometrics are not updating (still at 1013, 29.92), Temperature not updating.. And weather in general not updating. I tried to go to ESGG where the METAR was ESGG 162120Z 17009KT 3900 BR BKN004 05/04 Q1018 R21/29//95 but it was partly cloudy, Temp at 14C and 1013 on the QNH... I got a virus warning the first time but re-installed and put the program on my excempt list..? What do i do..? Any suggestions? 😕

I'm fairly new to the Airbuses. Is there any procedure to shut down the engines apart from turning off the cut off switches? If so, my switches are not responding?
