Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just a quick question about this amazing mod, My taxi speed keeps going up, my throttle stays at idle, and no N1 movement. This means frequent braking to hold my speed under control. Are there others having the same problem or is something wrong with my set up? Greetings, Jos

Just fired up the Sim 30 mins ago as the title says and also getting a black square box in the centre of the screen and the sim isnt loading at all. I have all the latest updates and not changed anything on my pc since last time......any ideas whats is going on? Thanks Regards Paul EGCC

I have a problem with the a320 VOR. During the flight he takes a while to enter. Usually the DME appears close to 38mn. Where did I go wrong or is it a bug? Gracias Maraponga..

I have a number of FSX scenerys which may or ma not be convertible. Can anyone point me in the right direction to attempt this please? Some may fail due to elevation changes, etc. but one piece I always liked was the UK TV and radio masts, which I miss. Only a few bgl and object files, so not too complicated, I guess.

I tried the ai pilot mode in the menu while in the flying mode, and now cannot exit it, even though I selected off. Further more, I cannot hit escape to get back to options and controls. the only way to quit the sim is to close out the window. If Im in full mode, I have to restart the pc. No matter how many times I restart the sim, the copilot is always flying and no matter what keys I press, they have no effect. Anyone know how to fix this? Thamks, Gnacino

Holy smokes do I wish they could do something about the ridiculous amount of time it takes to load! From the time the icon is clicked until the time sitting on the runway ready to go is several minutes, and has been getting longer as more updates get released.

Is there a way we could make the other aircraft in the program useable? For example, I just landed in LA and could pick out the two decks of an A380 parked at the gate as i rolled past.

This means any developer using unreal engine will have access to that data. So technically other developers will be able to build their own simulator or game based on the same data used in MSFS (except for blackshark ai).

Last couple weeks, lots of 'bushtrips' are being uploaded to flightsim file depots because of new tools to create them more easily. You don't need to be inside a small plane above rural flyover country to appreciate having set up a "bushtrip" that loudly calls attention to interesting scenery with waypoints. The Iris Simulations pack of two Jabiru Aircraft (J160 and J170) has been announced for the marketplace. The pack contains two distinct airframes and each airframe has a steam and a glass cockpit variant so 4 variants and quite good value for money. These aircraft have been available for a while direct from Iris and on Orbx and most early teething issues seem to have been sorted quite quickly. Seems I cannot select Live Weather. On the initial world map there is no clouds (weather) and when I select my aircraft and airport, trying to click on Live Weather just reverts to Clear Skies. I can select other weather presets, but not Live Weather. So what's going on ??

Obtaining instructions for a departure , ATC may say something like to climb to 15,000. So I set up the altitude for 15,000, set the speed for 250, and select the NAV function. After takeoff I turn on the auto pilot and auto thrust. The the plane does not level of at 15,000 but continues to pass right thru 15,000. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Jim b

Looking at their different webpages, Github, Facebook etc, I still can't find any info on who the people behinf the FBW Team is. How many people are in the Team, and what are their job in the project? And are there real A320 pilots in the group? I'm more than amazed at what they have achieved so far, so I wondered why they can do what they're doing and that Asobo/MS apparently can't do. I'm pretty sure the A320N will turn out to be the best freeware mod ever made (don't use Xp11, so I can't speak for the Zibo mod of the default B737) and I honestly can't see why I should pay for FSlabs A320 If and when it comes out. So a BIG THUMBS up to the FBW Team.

After downloading the update I have lost the "Home" and "Back" buttons on the FMS while on the flight plan page in the Cessna Citation Longitude. Went to input the approach into the FMS but can't access the approach page now.

Just downloading and will report back with any findings...

Up until now I have been fly from airport to airport using GPS, and then landing on the closest/easiest runway I see. 🙂 Well, I want to take this experience to the next level and start to land using instruments, and try to do things correctly. I am using the C172 (G1000) and just taking short hops from KDEN to KCOS. Hi Guys, After 4 months of bush flying and sightseeing with the GA aircraft I decided to try to the liners. My last experience with them was in 2006-2007 with FSX so I was a bit rusty. I learned how to set the new A320 FMC/MCDU thanks to videos and tutorials and tried a brief flight (LIRF-LICC). 9 times out of 10, in managed mode, once the A/P is engaged, the aircraft either banks heavily to the left and crashes, or flies in a straight line instead of heading to the green line to the next waypoint.
