Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am really liking this plane so far, but ran into a weird issue with setting the VSI. I meant to start a descent, so I click down on the VS wheel a few times to set my desired rate. Anyway, it acted like I kept clicking, even though I stopped, and the wheel kept spinning. Before I figured out what was going on, my descent rate was 5000+ fpm and I ended up overstressing the plane and "died." In retrospect, my first move probably should've been to disable the AP. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, as far as using the AP, does the ALT button hold the current altitude? What is the best way to go about changing altitudes. I'm experiencing these odd long pauses in the area between Friday Harbor, WA and Nanaimo, British Columbia and am wondering if anybody else has experienced this or has identified a root cause or fix? I can take off from Skagit and fly west towards Friday Harbor and towards Victoria (CYYJ airport) and it will be silky smooth the entire way to Friday Harbor, but West of there I'll begin experiencing cases of VERY long pauses - not a stutter - a 3-5 second pause where everything just stops completely then resumes just as smoothly as before until the NEXT pause. I want just to know other opinions about that: I mainly tested these two aircraft on MSFS and on both I had the feeling they lack power. What do you think?

Flight simulator can get boring at times and Asobo needs to come up with new ways to keep the players entertained and I have this idea for a long time and not exactly sure how to put it in words so maybe start off by watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGkwu3TxuoE How awesome would it be to have similar challenges within the sim? I was flying the Bonanza today with the Working Title G1000 mod installed v0.3.2. I tried to put a Direct To in the MFD but when entering the second letter of the airfield the MFD locked up. Some of the buttons still worked but the DT function and the Map froze i.e. my aircraft symbol wasn't moving. I have also tried this on the C172 and had the same problem. Has anyone else noticed this problem after the recent MSFS updates.

Finished a flight with Dino's MB339 and I'm not able to get back to main menu. I've waited 10 minutes so far. Usually takes about 30 seconds. Anyone seen something like this yet?

Hello, Maybe it is a dumb question but can't figure it out, I tried 2 flights today, one with FBW a320nx dev version and one with the custom version I fill my flight plan based on Simbrief and put SimB altitude in alt constraints but the plane climb very slowly (400ft/min) and do not reach desired altitude in time, it seems to follow the constraint with one point late, So I set my cruise altitude at FL370 with the wheel on the mcp, and then I except the plane to climb at FL370 respecting alt constraints, In this case on CILLI I should be at FL316 but the plane stay at FL206 which was the constraints fro ADSIX, then when I reached …

Hi all, just wondering if there has been any update for the Aerostar 600 release in mfs2020? And has there been any mention about an a2a Cessna 172 for mfs2020? when do you think we will see the first a2a aircraft complete? I’m hoping they surprise us with a Cessna 172 as well as the Aerostar

Haven't noticed it before, but today I was searching across the "CONTENT MANAGER" pages and forud an entry for the FBW A320 NEO, next to the default ASOBO NEO 🙂

Anyone else had this? For some time now i cant't hear any radio comms. When i try to get a clearance i only hear a short squelsh sound and then nothing... Applies to all aircraft at the moment. Any ideas? Best regards

So let me ask a question that probably will sound stupid: what GA aircraft can I fly in the winter? Clearly I'm not a RW pilot, because it never occurred to me that I could not fly my beloved C172 in the winter without the whole windshield becoming a sheet of ice when I am going through clouds. And that's a big issue for me, because my home base is Montreal! Yesterday I got all excited when I noticed that the Bonanza had a de-icing system, only to cry in despair when I realized mid-flight that it was not operational in MSFS. So yeah, besides the TBM, what smaller aircraft do you fly when it's freezing outside???

Any thoughts on the Carenado 208? Is it plagued with the same Auto pilot issues that the default msfs 2020 does? Thanks, Scot

I realize these are probably nowhere near FBW's A320, but which one is actually enjoyable? Didn't have the time yet to even look at any of the Boeings.

Since yesterday all my departure and approach data are lost in MSFS 2020, making ILS en RNAV approaches impossible. Do any of you know how to correct this? Thanks, Hans

Just passed 300 (recorded) hours and still loving the sim. Got the Mooney out of the hangar finally and did some quick flights. No CTDs!!!! Getting myself brought up to speed on it so I can start doing some sightseeing and looking for POIs. It's been quite an interesting ride these past few months. AP issues, CTDs and the like but I'm still here and still loving the sim. I haven't even considered going back to FSX, even though I miss some things like Reality-XP with the 430/530 and a couple planes I had purchased. Definitely going to be an interesting 2021.

Hello, I am here looking for some advice, Now that i got a new computer with a rtx 3070 i'd like to change my 3 1080p monitors for either one 4k ultrawide 49" pc screen or a 4k 50/55" TV screen for the sim What would be the best ? If i go for TV screen i should be on 3840x2160 resolution and 5120x1440 for the 49" So the main difference is that i have to choose between a wider FOV or a bigger screen isnt it ? Any advice from someone zho tried both ? Thank you

completely new and completely hooked to the MSFS 2020. NEED HELP on a new issue, Before the new update, I was flying A320 ok, quickly set up IFR and ILS, and throttle we go. However, after the update my throttle seem idle in the cockpit, cannot takeoff now. ATC is all silent now too. Before the ATC was chatty right after the flight loads. Now it's all silent. Anyone experiencing the same issue here?

Does anyone know a place where we can still have a nice tropical flight with green/light blue water with corals? I used to fly in The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, US Virgin Islands, where I could see that water, but Asobo removed them all with the USA update and the beautiful water is gone, replaced by dark blue water. I'd like to fly over tropical water, is there still any place in the world where they didn't remove it? Thanks.

Hi, I use MSFS2020 v.10.07.0 and no aircraft (cessna caravan, bonanza36, A320 with the Flybywire mod, etc., etc.) can follow the route. Out of nowhere it starts to turn to the left or right and I have to intervene or the flight goes there. Does anyone know what could be doing this? Thanks.
