Pilots, played around with the sim rate after I assigned custom keys to in- and decrease the sim rate. Yes, increase works. But where/how can I determine at which rate I am ;-). Or how I can reset back to normal rate? I could be at 4x now but not really sure. Yours, DAD Apologies for searching just now. So this is the only possibility to see at which rate MSFS is? —>

It could be either my imagination or something peculiar to my MSFS installation, but I don't think so. Every aircraft I've tried so far, default or modded, starts coming out of a heading-select turn way, way too early. Example: You are flying due North and you select due East, and switch on altitude hold then heading. Before the update, most aircraft banked at 20-30 degrees then would roll out of the turn approximately 5-10 degrees before the selected heading, then settle on the heading within around 5-8 seconds max. After the update every aircraft I've tried starts rolling fine, but then begins rolling to level far too early, resulting in the last 10 degrees capture…

I try to take off with managed altitude and heading, but i also want it not to exceed 220kts so i set the speed to 220kts but AP does not care and goes to the 250kts Is this the way it suppose to behave or would the real airplane respect set speed and and stop accelerating once reached 220 set on the MIP... Just to clarify I did set it to manual air speed so that 220 is displayed and the dot is gone The only way i seem to be able to take off and hold the aircraft at desired speed is if I climb using AP hold vertical speed and then it will hold my set airspeed also, so.. AP Vertical speed Hold + Managed HDG = AP will hold selected air speed OK …

So whats the deal when no approaches exist through the FMC (using the CJ4 Mod) but they ARE present in the Navigraph data (using latest revision 13). I'm currently enroute to SVBI in Venezuela and there are published approaches but the FMC has nothing available?? Is that a SIM issue, a Navigraph issue or a CJ4 Mod issue?

When I start a new flight f.I. lemg to eheh and I want to fly with high altitute airways with the Airbus 320neo the system crashes to the screen of the desktop directly after I click the word: high altitute airways. Same happens at low altitute airways. If I restart the computer I have the same result. Has someone have a solution?

This hot air balloon is available as an add-on from flightsim.to ..... https://flightsim.to/file/4344/hot-air-balloon The creator freely admits that it flies like an aeroplane, and he suggests modifying the flight_model.cfg file to make it behave more like a hot air balloon. I could make a few educated guesses myself about what needs to be changed, but I thought it might be worth throwing this open to suggestions since there must be many people here who have far more relevant knowledge than I have, (My degree is in physics, but I don't know how to relate that knowledge to the parameters in the CFG file.) I suppose the obvious thing to change for starters wo…

I tried several attempts to cross Atlantic in both CJ4 and FBW 320 mods. Both times 3/4 way through airlanes deviated (autopilot) from planned course (aka magena line) for more than 40 miles and 20 degrees. I tried to manually correct it and then re-engage lateral navigation but both airplanes just was straying further from course. Both routes were generated by default MSFS planner at high altitude . I see correlation between both mods and perhaps MSFS internal navigation/planning. Could anyone confirm and find way around this problem?

Is it just me or is it currently almost impossible to download anything from flightsim.to? There are several addons updated, but my downloads simply stall, more thant 80-100kb/s is not possible. Some days ago, I easily had 8-10Mb/s... And no, no issues with other sites or downloads, speedtest tells me I have my full 200 Mbit/s bandwith available...

I'm aware that the elevation data in some areas of the USA was updated as part of the latest update. Not sure about any other areas because some of the freeware scenery that I downloaded and installed before the update is now hanging in the air and not at the right elevation. One of these is for the rocky Lions Head peak in Cape Town but after the update it is sitting at an elevated height. I read that deleting the rolling cache and restarting MSFS might assist in resolving the matter which I did but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

...without realising, was supposed to be 1hr 40mins, thought the headwind was slowing me down, wasn't concentrating (watching the football....both matches) and didn't notice until I saw how slow the Clock was ticking! Massive schoolboy error, needless to say all Sim Rate binds have since been deleted!

I just tried a flight that I have made numerous times in 3 different aircraft, IRL, Manhattan KS to Tulsa OK. I used the WT CJ4 for the first time on this which was probably my 1st mistake as I am not used to the AP in it. But getting to Tulsa was not the issue. The ILS Approach was all kinds of messed up. The route had me coming in lined up on runway and then about 10 miles North of airport it had me doing a 360 clockwise loop that took me about 10 miles North. It caught the GS on next approach and then got to same point and did another elongated loop to the North, again. Both loops were showing on the map applet. Unfortunately the AP had me keep descending even though I…

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with the scenery creator. They have two in Venezuela available one of which is free ware and they look good...on their site. just thought I'd ask before downloading and installing. Anyone who's interested in South America should also check out SierraSim's msfs2020 airports for Columbia. The mountains approach 20,000' and the msfs countryside is spectacular as are the airport locations. if you like high altitude airports and interesting approaches check them out. Still on sale today. While not quite in the league of Fly Tampa or FSDT they are still good and for the money are a great buy. Dave

I'm trying out a new plane, the CJ4 and have a few questions: 1. How do I switch from FMS to VOR mode? 2. Where are the Anti-Ice switches located. My pitot tubes froze up and I lost the airspeed indicator (anti-icing is nicely modeled). 3. Finally, and most importantly: I've been reading conflicting information about this: When I select an approach procedure in the FMS, does the autopilot then fly the procedure? Thanks!

Hi Guys recently downloaded a fresh install of MSFS2020 all planes work fine apart from my A320. When I try and fly a flight path that has been assigned in the FMC through MSFS2020 flight planner the plane flies and follows no problem as it should but when I disengage autopilot the A320 goes out of control and into an unrecoverable spin. Has anyone had the same issue ? TIA

I would like to record my flights so that I can rewatch them to see exactly what I did and learn from any mistakes I made. What is the best way to go about doing this? I have an NVIDIA card so does the GeForce Experience app have a built in recording feature? I would also like to upload the video online either onto Twitch or YouTube if I ever decide to share my flights later on as well. I am really looking forward to Asobo's replay feature. That is one feature that is badly needed and no flight sim has got this feature down. Would love to have a replay feature like the one in Gran Turismo where you can have different viewing angles, viewing spots, set up the replay t…

Hello all simmers Well, as you hear, and although it may seem incredible, the fourth airport in Spain and one of the most important in Europe does not appear in this simulator. Any logical explanation? I am not worth sharing a small annexed military facilities almost in disuse. From FS2000 to FSX, P3D and XPlane has always appeared. I think they have made a big mistake that they will have to remedy as soon as possible, but which is clearly inadmissible. Kind regards from Malaga and take care of yourselves. I found a way to bypass the big red arc that loads after an approach is selected in the G1000. This method can be done without deleting the approach and going to any point on the approach.

I just had to get this off my chest , I see so many opinions with a kind of authority that trys to make it look like 3 5 year olds are the ones behind the development of w…

Ok, Need some help with the correct procedures for the MCDU when getting the IAF and runway from ATC. ATC continues to turn me around to the last waypoint which is quite frustrating after a decent flight. I have tried to put the STAR in the MCDU while flight planning but if winds change ATC gives me a different runway and STAR most of the time, Any help would be appreciated

Would anyone like to partner up with me in order to fix the heading a/p issue? I have narrowed the problem down to be a likely sim var setting which would require someone with a good knowledge of simconnect , WASM and xml programming in order to change the variables that are truncating the roll mode in MSFS. I'm 100% certain that the PID values in the ai.cfg files will never solve the problem as the hard coded wing leveler over-rides anything you write to the ai.cfg file. We would need to access the code that controls the roll and wing leveler routines. I suspect there are no more than a couple of lines of code to free up the proper heading mode routines. Please PM m…
