Any tips to improve ground LOD? It is just too bad

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think there's been a single enhancement to ATC since launch. Yet ATC, at least for me, is one of the most frustrating aspects of the SIM and an immersion killer. You're either forced to ignore them or follow their nonsensical directions neither of which is NOT immersive in the slightest. ATC is a HUGE part of aviation and yet it seems to be one of the most neglected aspects of the sim. Does anyone else wonder why it's being ignored?

Been playing around with the "new" Sensitivity settings introduced with the latest patch and don't feel like I'm making much headway. Any change I make seems to have aircraft squirreling down the runway like a kite on a windy day (whether Cessna or Airbus) and pulling back on the stick jerks the thing into the air with no fine control. No matter what I do to the sensitivity or dead zones I can't get it back to where I had it before the patch. If any other 3D Pro users would care to share their settings, I would be much obliged.

Is anyone aware of any method of recovering a 'locked' layout.json file to it's original location short of preforming a complete reinstall? Was accidentally moved out of the Longitude folder during a mod installation and I'm now being denied permission to move it back, assuming because it's considered a 'locked' premium content (Longitude) file? Have spent the last couple of hours trying to find some way around the Asobo/MS method denying access to move certain files without success....any possible suggestions would be much appreciated Thanks

Whenever I'm looking at the wing views, there's a heat blur effect which is a bit overexaggerated imo. Is there a way to disable it or at least tone it down? I find it quite a bit annoying and unrealistic.

Hey, everyone, I'm not an actual pilot, so I have 0 experience with how a plane actually flies. However, a friend and I were arguing about the game, and he (also not a pilot, but knows a little bit more about this stuff than I do) sent me this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvwJcsn6F0E (not my own video) I'm wondering if a) that's realistic or b) that's been fixed. It's not about how sensitive it is, but how quickly the plane returns to normal flight after he stops the yaw input. As my joystick (extreme 3d pro) has a broken... ish yaw input, I can't really test it.

Hi all, I recently purchased this controller without rudder pedals, and I need a step by step guide on sensitivity settings in MSFS 2020. Right now the rudder is way too sensitive when twisting the yoke control. Thanks

I have now completed 2 IFR flights in the 172SP and have some questions on the AP. In the beginning of both flights I couldn't get the AP to engage properly. Both times I had the Heading Bug already aligned and selected HDG - the aircraft began a sharp turn away from the designated course. I turned the AP off and tried again: Activated AP Set ALT to planned altitude Set climb rate Realigned Heading Bug Selected HDG again The aircraft was now stable and stayed on the indicated heading - as I approached the FP course, I activated NAV and she followed fairly well. Live weather shows my home airport wind 73 at 8kts. This what METAR shows. Please do tell me how 19 to 29 kts wind translated to 8. I want to know what kind of math go behind this approximation ? If so, I sure would like to see something along the lines of some useful screens when making visual approaches and such. This is a cut and paste for the New Orleans area. Hi, I came across a couple articles (below) a while back that explain that we can edit the building heights in Open Street Maps, and the changes will eventually show op in MSFS. If true, this is super cool. One area that I'd like to change is the Cancun Hotel Zone. Right now, the building footprints are being picked up, but the building heights don't exist. I did play with it for a couple minutes back when I originally discovered the articles, but I didn't save anything. If the changes I make are permanent, I want to be a little more thoughtful before I start editing things. I can come up with a pretty good estimate for most of the buildings. I was also facing drastic fps drops and stutters after the last MSFS update. I have updated my Nvidia Driver to version 457.51 , which seems slightly to reduce the stutters and gained fps.Will not make it perfect as before but treats a bit. Worths a try. It is recommended to you also, if not done yet. Happy flying.

I had the brilliant idea to run the Steam integrity check, which usually (for other games) takes a few minutes and redownloads any corrupted files. I know, everybody has the same issues with the current build and it was naïve of me to think it could resolve anything, however I thought "what do I have to lose"? ILS capture fix for TBM: Since the last MSFS update, it is known that autopilot ILS localizer approach has been broken for most situations which require early [less than 10 miles] approach distance. This has been documented in the AVSIM forums for the last couple weeks. We have been encouraged to believe that a fix of some sort is impending , and I am happy about that. For the immediate, though, my lifetime is not forever, anymore, so I spent some time today playing with the control variables assigned to ILS capture and control to my favorite MSFS aircraft- the TBM930. Today, I have taken flights in the UK and the US, but I have no houses/buildings in conglomerates or really anywhere! Has something happened that I'm not aware of? Martin NY City is only the Empire State Building and three other buildings! Solved: Bing Maps and Photogrammetry were both turned off - This was probably with todays NVIDIA Driver update.
