Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have now almost finalized my PA-44 screen in AirManager. It works really well on my 4 screen setup. My 4 screen setup I use, I also have 3 other laptops and tablets I use for plates etc. As can be seen here. I use different controls for different aircraft.

First let me explain my hardware: Use Honeycomb yoke to control flight controls Use a Saitek Pro Flight yoke only to be able to use the Saitek Pro Flight quadrant (I use two Pro Flight quadrants) Use a second Pro Flight quadrant to be able to use on dual engine planes Use a CH Throttle Quadrant for landing gear and flaps All controls work ok - both throttles, both prop controls, and both mixture controls. The problem I have is that the number 1 prop lever also controls the flaps. I have gone through all the control bindings and can't see where any prop levers are assigned to flaps or where any flap controls are assigned to prop. Number 2 …

Looking for a good challenge in MSFS? Here's one: New Zealand. Use the Cessna 208. Start at Queenstown NZQN. Fly Northwest to,Martin's Bay Aerodrome KZMJ, and make a landing. Beware the high terrain enroute, and be ready for the white-knuckle adventure awaiting you and your passengers when you arrive! I'll let you figure out your own approach. It might not seem possible, but I assure you it CAN be done. You may find, like I have, that New Zealand offers both grand scenery and an endless array of challenges.

Hello, I am having quite an issue controlling the aileron, elevator and rudder. I have change the sensitivity, and the null zone, but still I cannot control the aircraft. The worst is the aileron axis. It is so sensitive, that a small touch I ended up in a 90 degree bank or more. If i play with the null zone and the sensitivity, I turn the the aileron just a bit and nothing happens, another bit and nothing happens, another bit, and I am again banking 90 degrees. I have tried to different joysticks and the result is just the same. Thanks Juan

Looks like real aviation is starting to take desktop sims seriously. Might be because of the virtual Airventure they ran this year since they had to cancel the real one. Sounds like EAA was impressed with the turnout and the fun. EAA members now get $10 off of MSFS. They're also giving discounts (some significant) on Redbird flight sim stuff, and looks like $25 off of the Honeycomb yoke.

Why is "Set Your Cruise Altitude" ghosted out in the Nav Log even after doing a Flight Plan (Mine is ghosted out with 39000 ft).

Can't get the TBM to start without the ITT going WAY over 1400. Every red light and alarm flashing. I make sure that the fuel is cutoff before engaging the starter (or loading the plane for that matter) but no amount of monkeying with fuel, blowing out the engine (leaving starter run extra) etc helps. Anyone else having this issue?

Since the latest update I've tried three different flights at different airports and the longitude will not intercept the localizer or glide slope. I'm using the working title g3000 mod does anyone else having this issue?

Has anyone tried the settings suggested in the mentioned topic posted and locked in the Tips and Tricks forum? When tips get posted and locked there is no feedback opportunity. The tip is obviously for 4K, but for what range of system specs? Would like to see from anyone with experience with it before I dive in to the settings.

Hi guys, I still have issues with the TBMs AP. When i manipulate the VS Knob i get an immediate response of the AP which annoys me alot. For example when i turn it from 0 to lets say 2000+ i get 20 single little bumps up until it reaches 2000+ instead of delaying the reaction to the input and generate one smooth motion. Same with GS capture. It smashes the nose down instead of a soft transition. Roll speed in NAV mode too are a PITA. I have modified the CFG file but this only affects the HDG mode. My passengers get shaken around alot i can say. Any tipps appreciated! Best

I wanted to start a separate thread on this to share my experience with this aircraft. Here is a repeat of something I just posted elsewhere as a response: I'm a RL pilot, and I fly airplanes in the sim that I fly in real life. I don't really get much out of hopping in a plane that I have no idea how to fly and just "winging it," so to speak. I’m able to engage the autopilot and have it track the flight plan. How do you set up an ILS approach? I know how to enter the ILS frequency, how do you switch from GPS / FMS to VLOC? To fly the ILS approach? Thanks

HI, This might be old news, but I've noticed that MSFS now supports EXE.xml, a mechanism to auto-load utilities that operate outside of the sim platform, in the same manner as EXE.xml does in P3D. I noticed this recently, when an update of the RealSimGear util for my GNS530 is now auto-started with MSFS. Im hoping I can add in the other EXE utils into this config, so they will also auto-start. The exe.xml file needs to be stored in your AppData/Local/Packages/<MSFS>/LocalCache dir.

1) The new update ruined my Caribbean Islands by changing mesh or whatever ASOBO did. Is there a way to revert back or a trick to fix the way the mountain bottom edges? Ex. I wish there was a way to contact ASOBO so that I can give them a piece of my mind. They are ruining my sim. 2) I have a plethora of nice enhancement airport mods and many of the the static airplanes bounce up and down. Is there a way to fix this? I'm interested in posting a fix on every single one of the mods that have this minor issue. This does not happen with my payware airports. Thanks for you input. Jose

If I start a flight cold and dark in the A320NEO (FBW or default), the auto pilot does not work. I am able to go through all of the pre-takeoff procedures, including taxiing to the active and taking off. But when I engage the auto pilot, the plane veers off to the left or right and I then completely lose control of the aircraft. I tried disabling the AP, and then turning it on again, but no joy. I also removed all of the A320 liveries. (I saw a post that suggested that that might be the reason for the problem.) That didn't work either. Watching vids on using the drone with an Xbox controller but it sounds like the unit should have a set of default assignments when plugged in. Mine is completely blank? Unit is a Logitech version and is recognized in both Windows10 and in MSFS (tested), but no assignments? Any ideas?
