After the last update I have a problem with one of the rocker switches on my CH Products Yoke and one particular aircraft. I use the rocker switch on top of the right handle of the yoke for Alerion Trim. After the latest update this week I find that this switch now is activating what would be CTRL+4 Toggle Instrument View 4 and CTRL+6 Toggle Instrument View 6 instead of the Alerion Trim. However, it only does this on one aircraft the Cessna 172S with the steam gauges. On all other aircraft it works as I had programed it for Alerion Trim. I don't remember seeing a thread about the effects of high resolution DEM after the USA update. I just wanted to say that in most places it looks absolutely stunning. While there are some problems with popping up to late so some details suddenly appear before my eyes, the detail can be breathtaking. Today I landed on top of Mt. Rainier and almost fell into a crevasse! Mountain ridges look super sharp and edgy, every detail of hills, valleys etc. are super exact. I really love that. Only ugly thing is that coastal lines can look ugly until I am near enough. Asobo might want to look into that.

A feature I've used in P3d with FSUIPC, and natively in DCS, is using a button on my controller as a modifier button so I can assign multiple actions to the another button. For example, if I hold down button 2 on my stick, pressing button 1 performs a different action than when button 2 is not pressed. I've not been able to find this functionality natively within MSFS, but I was wondering if anyone had been able to find it. If not, I'm more than happy to send a few bucks to the Dowsons. 😀

I just watched a few of these clear and concise tutorial videos on MSFS. I'm not instrument rated but I've done a ton of practice approaches and or with other rated pilots. You don't need to spend an hour learning to fly an ILS approach. This guy's videos are nice and short. First, this isn't meant to be a rant or an "i'm heading back to P3D" post but i was just wondering... Going through all of these "Issue/Problems" posts in the forum(s) i honestly ask myself what, and i am leaving aaaaall that eyecandy which is pretty much obviously the biggest improvement, aside. Ok the UI got modernised...the marketplace...but whats up with the rest? In the settings in the latest update there is a new setting called “enable aerosol density”. What is this? By default it’s ticked off, but should I tick it and enable it? also, what is persistent weather transition? I have it set for 5 mins and 1ms transition rate. I like to fly the a320 simulating commercial flights. Are these good settings? Thank you very much!

As mentioned in another thread the AP on the A320 seemed messed up after the latest update. I did a flight this morning and it was still the same, but i have just done another, and the AP seems to be responding quicker again, certainly in my last flight. There was also no strange angle on the display and seemed to be following the path well. Hopefully they are tweaking the settings behind the scenes.

Whenever I create a flight plan, I sometimes can not see all the Gates/Ramps because of their white rectangular label (the label gives Gate #/Parking). Is there a way to move that label so that I can see the rest of the Gates/Ramps.

Hello All, Been sorta optimistic lately...have has some good experiences. But today, it happened....lightning in clearing weather. Central MS: We did have a front come through today...with sporadic severe weather reports, including a possible tornado in W. Jackson. This was/is associated with a cold front...Passed through here and was gone before 12:00 CST.....which you can still see on the map now. I usually fly without a flightplan just usually go were i want how I want but earlier today I exported a flightplan in navigraph and I saw more airplanes around me...a lot more than when I DONT........file a flightplan.....im curious?? Regards Paul egcc

After latest patch the PA44 would CTD when clicking on sun visors/door/window they would not work, and after a pc restart it caused CTD's. Today I can click on all without CTD, and they all work as they should - maybe a Carenado update in the background?

With the FlyByWire Mod for the A320NEO I have 10 FPS less (32 FPS) in the cockpit view. Without the FlyByWire mod, I have around 47 FPS and almost no stutter. 10 FPS difference that is a lot. Is that normal with active mod?

The latest version of the Iris jabiru is available for download at Iris Simulations (not sure about Orbx yet). It now includes external hardware interactivity via default sim commands which means my Saitek switch panel finally works 😄 I expect things like the Honeycomb yoke switches will also work better after this update. My initial impressions are the aircraft are a a lot less twitchy on the ground and you do not need to load them up with extra cargo to get more realistic climb performance. I bought MSFS2020 when it came out knowing my system was not up to it. I have just persuaded my better half to let me upgrade. Yesterday my new PC arrived with an i7 processor with 16Gb with hyper threading and an nVidia 3080 graphics card. The first thing I noticed after installing and starting was getting the message “your system does not meet the minimum specification.....’ Why would this happen? I have an oddity and I wonder if others experience the same. Frequently, I will get a message Internet Connection Lost (or something to that effect) and a few minutes later it will say connection restored. I know the connection isn't down, because I any usually doing something in another window, watching a YouTube vid or something. Anyone else experienced similar?

I am still in the process of testing out this theory, and I am not flying the FBW product. But I did experience a lot of the A/P problems others have experienced with the A320 not following the flight plan, and I have read a number of various work arounds, from "not starting from Cold and Dark" to Starting cold and dark, saving the flight, then continuing. I've even read that the newest dev build of FBW fixes it from some, and doesn't fix it from others. Taking nothing away from the FBW folks, and I am slowly wading into that deeper pool (such as figuring out exactly when I can pick my approach from the MCDU and not get the NOT ALLOWED message). This problem still exists. Sometimes when I load up into an airport, I'll get clear skies with 29.92 even if I hit B key. Thought this problem would've been resolved by now. Sigh.

It's been a month or so since I last loaded this thing up, but thought I would see what the latest patch brings. Well the C172 still skips down the runway on its takeoff run like a kite in the wind, but that's not my main gripe. Once airborne and in level flight decided to adjust my viewpoint, only to find no response from the KB arrow keys. I could swear previously they would move you up/down or sideways but it seems no longer. Anyone else noticed this?

If find many small to medium sized airports (US, non-major hub at least) have some hangers that are far to tall, yet others on the field seem normal. I feel this is an issue in the building type config file. Seems like a simple fix as they did it with other building types a few updates ago.
