Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am fairly new to MFS 2020 and to date have not had many issues with it. In the last couple of days , when it is loading, I am getting the message "unable to sync with the cloud at the moment" I then have the option to play offline. Why am I getting this message ? My PC is otherwise working OK ( I am using Windows 10) and my internet connection is OK and stable.

I noticed my Rolling Cache has been off. If I switch it on, it asks for how many gigs. How do I determine how many I should put in there and is there any benefit to having this on vs. off?

I've been having issues with the 747 since the last update, and I'm wondering if others are experiencing the same. It won't hold a constant vertical speed when descending, the aircraft just flops up and down. While the issue seems to be fixed where you couldn't switch from Mach back to knots, it still doesn't want to slow down to below 0.4 Mach unless I force it by using the flaps. Anyone else?

Am I dreaming or the HUD was working before and is INOP now?

I have this quadrant and as some of you know, the Thrust reverse is a bit of a gong show. I had a look at the control section of the Sim and don't really notice any difference with what is presented. Am I missing something?

Run several of the available mods and uncertain how they're likely to be affected by the update ....... what's likely to happen .... will mod creators check whether any conflict between their mod and changes made by Asobo and work around them ..... or whatever???

These clouds, flying over Norway, pretty much look like the icy windshield effect run amok in the clouds. I don't see this bad this often, but wondering if this is by design or an artifact. I hope it's an artifact that will resolve w/ DX-12 implementation:

This last update hosed my MSFS. There are no buildings in any city nor airport where the new photogrametry is. That is an area almost the complete Northern California. No buildings at all, none. My question is: Is there any way to redo the last update? To make Steam install the last update again over top of the latest update that Steam just finished doing? I deleted all the rolling cache that did not help. I do have data streaming turned on in the DATA portion of MSFS Options. And am connected just fine to the internet. I have tried to 'validate MSFS' on Steam but after 15 minutes the bar is still at 0, apparently it cannot even start to verify it. …

Well not quite endless but as usual Ground took me to the furthest spot available, this time down 14 taxiways at the massive LFPG. But the good part was seeing most of LFPG which is detailed and beautifully done by Asobo.

I have tried all setting for airport traffic (AI Offline, Real Time Online, Max airport traffic, Airline and General Aviation Traffic Density at 100%); however, I can not just view planes taking off and landing at any busy airport--almost a ghost town. At KSFO, a plane takes off, maybe, every 10 minutes. I remember in previous versions of MS Flight Sim, seeing planes lined up for takeoff--a busy airport. Is it possible to get the same volume of traffic in MSFS 2020? I like watching airport traffic--takeoffs and landings.

I was approaching the shuttle landing facility at Cape Canaveral and noticed “Enable Ignoring Weather at This Airport” in the ATC menu. Is this new with the patch? I can’t remember seeing it before. Not quite sure what would be ignoring the weather?

Am I the only one who is completely stymied by how out-of-place, obfuscated, and completely dysfunctional the Content Manager is, in what is otherwise an extraordinary sim? Just getting Premium Deluxe content to show up in game is an absolute moon launch. I made the mistake of purchasing on Steam which adds yet another layer of content management on top of what is already an engineering dumpster fire. I find the whole interface cumbersome, unintuitive, and exceedingly redundant in places. I can't even categorically sort my content (aircraft, airports, challenges, etc.) This part of the sim feels exceedingly out of place and something that was outsourced as an afterthought…

I have the payware Atlanta scenery from imaginesim. I bought it in the marketplace. I know the community folder always takes priority but this scenery is not in the community folder. So, my question is this: with today’s update including Atlanta katl scenery as a new scenery by asobo, do I need to delete it from the content manager after updating today? Thanks!

Yesterday while it was cloudy and raining at LPCS, started a flight using Real Weather and the pictogram in the weather menu did suggest the conditions, but in the sim it was blue skies, standard atmosphere... Loaded the sim a few times, tried the same, always the very same result. There really is / are problems with global weather in MFS... and that's not good, because having closed development to 3pds, they are the only players and so far it's really mediocre other than the graphics which look great...

Hi there, my specs are: Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz RAM 16GB DDR3 GPU RX 550 4GB HDD 3TB I am mostly concerned about GPU, because minimum requirement is RX 590 which is like over 200% better than my RX550 (according to GPU user benchmarks). GPU is going to be a bottle neck, but all in all I believe I have a solid machine. However, FSX does not run smoothly on my PC, I have average of 35 FPS. What do you think, should I give MSFS2020 a try with my machine? I am very tempted. :D

Hello. Just get my Hotas Warthog. I'm not very comfortable with the default mapping. What do you think is necessary to have mapped? There are a lot of buttons and I would like to have the essentials to fly with airliners and propellers Thank you for your support. Henrique
