Is anyone using this latest version? If so perhaps you would give a brief review. Thanks. Dave

Hi all, I've enabled G-sync via Nvidea control panel for my Asus monitor that supports Freesync and disabled V-Sync. I can't tell if it has actually done anything - MSFS might be a bit smoother but it might just be a placebo. In theory should this do anything? I have a low-end GFX card (GTX 1060 3GB).

Dear Avsim forum members; I am looking to purchase a short 35-40 minute video clip of a specific flight leg on MSFS (2020 version if possible). Originally, I was going to just purchase MSFS 2020 myself until I learned that my laptop does not have the recommended spec for running it. Rather than risk it MAYBE being sufficient, I thought maybe someone could simply make the flight him/herself and sell to me. I'm an ex-military pilot and ATPL but trying to put together a clip of a unique route/leg which I can show to some investors to promote a new business venture. The route is pretty simple really and can provide more details upon request but just wanted to see if this …

With the new PA44 Seminole nearly out, I am wondering if the asking price of 30EUR is not too much for their plane addons. Looking at their website, those plane already existed on previous sims, like P3D or X-plane. 3D models of the outside, cockpit and the sounds. What about you, do you think it's too expensive, and you would buy it if it was 10-15 euros cheaper, like I would do, or do you think the price is correct for what you get?

I'm still not getting any satisfaction with my ap not responding in msfs dulux edition whilst flying the A320neo. I think I will just have to bin this sim and go back to my original FX sim, no problems with that at all. Maybe try downloading orbx simulation systems?

From time to time I see in multiplayer people flying in formation and such. How to find people to fly with ? And how do we communicate with each other in-sim ?

Does anyone know how the zoom level (e.g. 40% 50%) in the settings correspond to the field of view (FOV) in the default pilot position, or what the formula is? I believe 1.0 zoom level in FSX was 34 degrees vertically (with wide screen true), or horizontally (with wider screen false). Is it the same in MSFS? 34 degrees horizontally by default, which would make the default 50% zoom level equal 68 degree FOV?

I know that in MSFS all the planes can do almost anything, including landing an A320 in Lukla 🙂. Therefore, I can take the TBM anywhere. But in reality will one dare to land his TBM on a short grass/dirt strip ?

Is there any reason that the "Views" and assign to a button do work in V7?

Why is the view from outside the aircraft a lot sharper and clearer than the view from the inside thru the windscreen?

I really love perving over the gorgeous aircraft models in the hangar, I think its a really cool feature. Reminds of the great models found in Gran Turismo however I really wish you could remove the HUD from top and bottom.....kinda ruins my screenshots!

It’s an immersion killer for me to see a a co pilot when I want to fly solo! Have they confirmed they will fix this? All I want is an a2a Cessna 172 and mfs2020 will be perfect. Until then, at least update default aircraft so visible passengers align with payload settings + let us open windows and doors (already on the list I know) to be fixed by 2022😂 hoping a2a will be out by then

I love this weather theme the most, not overly challenging, but I love the fidelity and shape of the clouds and the layered rendition stretching far into the horizon. Dusk or dawn lighting just hits these clouds amazingly. With the many visual changes Asobo have implemented lately (eg night lighting) I am happy they have kept this theme intact. I also love the look of seas and oceans (lack of water masks aside), with what some people call oil slicks, but are probably just apparent changes in wave patterns. I find it to be very realistically looking.

For me, the biggest issue with landing in MSFS is the lack of inertia. As the aircraft (any aircraft but particularly the A320) approaches touchdown and back pressure is applied to arrest the descent, the aircraft stops descending and immediately starts to climb. This is unrealistic and makes landing a complete dogs breakfast. Do you agree?

Hi, there is a problem to install the A320 mod, the instruction says to drag the A320NX to the community folder, but did it nothing happened. Do I need to remove the old A320 from the official folder? Thanks. I installed the MSFS on a desperate drive not using the default to 😄

OK, it may be a silly question but I've looked around and can't see anything about this elsewhere so . . . If I've installed something like the livery mega-pack, which has now dumped a load of aircraft-specific folders into my community folder, how do I then add other individual liveries for any specific aircraft. IE if I've got the A320 with its dozens of liveries but want to install someone else's addon folder for the same A320, do I have to manually edit the mega-pack's aircraft.cfg file and do all the same stuff I would have done for P3D/FSX or can I just put the new addon in under a new name (or something like that) Any advice or pointers gratefullyh receiv…

Does anyone know for certain if all or most P3D aircraft will be compatible with MSFS 2020? For example, I have a lot of freeware planes with FSX/P3D models and xml gauges, no dlls, and wonder if they can be ported directly over to the new sim or run through a conversion process. Thanks. Dave

Asobo definitely learned the lesson of releasing unsucicciently tested patches and they will slow the pace, they are going to release (according to 19/11 development update) "Sim updates" every 2-3 months. In Q1-Q2 2021 they plan to introduce beta approach which should improve the quality, assuming they will listen to beta testers. This will however, slow their pace even more. For those of us waiting for multiple screen functionality there is a bad news - they foresee it in 2021-2022 😞 So the MSF2020 is not going to be the sim of choice for cockpit builders. Seems like MS is going to target more the market of casual players using consoles and they will apply th…

Hey guys, so after a little experiment, turns out you actually can edit default plane on a 3D level. It just take a million years to reinject it into MSFS, as the export looses all animations and textures (so you have to make that again from scratch). But if you have the patience (i dont 😁), and the few skills required, you could do many things, like this tiny Tundra 152 i made, using the wheels of the XCUB.. But also floats, amphibs, skis, etc.... Its kinda blurry but i had to use quite an agressive denoising due to lack of time to render 🙂

Flew 90 minutes from Florence to Naples Italy. Everything worked perfect. AP held the course and altitude the entire trip. The scenery was awesome and the plane was too. I posted earlier about my troubles with the PA44 but it has been dependable as of late although I'm doing nothing different haha. Anyways loving this bird and the Mooney.
