I'm purchasing a new SSD and want to move MSFS to the new drive. I'm familiar with Steam Mover for moving Steam games. I realize that its not as simple as copying the folders - there are the registry settings etc. So is there a utility/tool to facilitate the move without having to do a complete re-install? Thanks

Been flying in most major cities/airports around the world with solid FPS performance using the ULTRA graphics preset. Since the original version and through all the updates, no issues with FPS. After the update, KDFW and surrounding area is a slide show for me. Two of us tested this with same big FPS hit. -no hardware changes -no mods -no software changes -tested removing KDFW from Content Manager and FPS went back to “normal” -waited long enough to ensure it was not caching delay related -restarted the computer too Given that I can fly over complex large citi…

Yesterday I played MSFS till late afternoon (UTC 16:00, Asia BKK 23:00). Today in the morning I want to start MSFS for the update - All I get is "Black screen with white frame around" and nothing else happens. The taskmanager shoes MSFS running ... Is it possible that while I was playing yesterday there was an overlay with downloading something in the back because the update was available already? Any advice appreciated. Best regards Detlef

Hi After installing FS2020 I made a backup of my entire PC. Recently the program appears to have become corrupted and so I would like to restore just FS, not the whole PC. Does anyone know, if I restore the entire apps\packages folder, will that be sufficient? Thanks Robin

Install fails and will not continue download past a point, then fails I have a windows x64 computer , most up to date w64 ,with no virus software and no firewall and i am unable to install microsoft flight simulator from the microsoft store. Since the latest patch and de Flybywire 0.41 mod I am unable to shutdown the engines anymore on the A32N Anyone else have or noticed this ? Update: Tried without the MOD and still unable to shutdown the engines. Hi all ,My MSFS is f...d . I did a flight a few days ago, and as I landed I realized I had no control. My Honeycomb yoke and Saitek rudder pedals had no effect on the airplane, though they show connection in the windows control panel. They also show response in MSFS sensitivity setting interface. Another thing happening is that at MSFS start up the airplane engine is running and manually shutting down the airplanes doesn't help because a MSFS ghost simply restarts the airplane. I hoped that todays update would have taken care of the problem. Wishful thinking. I want to give MSFS one more try before abandoning this 'early release' platform. …

I am using a separate key board as I am using a monitor and I do not want the lap top in front of me. The problem is that when prompted by fs 2020 to use some keys, on the separate keyboard nothing happens. Do I need to buy a dedicated key board for my HP Omen17 lap top ?

This is the only POI I've gone to see and I'm having an issue with it. I's not visible until I'm right on top of it, then it suddenly just appears. Even a close fly-by doesn't lure it out of the shadows. Once visibl, it seems to remain so for 30NM on a clear day. Is it just me? Are other POIs similar?

If you fly with Photogrammetry disabled, the Lion's Gate Bridge in Vancouver, BC has now changed from a suspension bridge (as it is real life) to a conventional bridge on pillars.. This was better before... Anyone else notice this? Even more to the point, does anyone have the skills to replace it back? 😉

Just how I remember it!

I'm new to the forum, so apologies if this bug has been addressed before. I haven't been able to find any reference to it. My problem is that I get a whooshing/roaring sound which just repeats over and over again for 5-10 minutes or more before it stops. It sounds a bit like a jet taking off or flying past. I think it's triggered when I visit a large airport (eg Gatwick), but it continues even when I'm well away from the airport. I assume it's a sound effect associated with large airports that's persisting for some reason when it's not appropriate. (Actually the way it's repeated would never be appropriate.) Has anybody else experienced this?

Those searching for a unique experience, try flying the course of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. I started at Grand Canyon West and headed east and south, flying as low as 3500' along the river in the classic C172. Hint: the river's course is displayed on the GPS map in blue. Without that, I would have quickly become lost in the various blind canyons that run off of the Colorado. Totally amazing. The canyon walls even display the characteristic strata which mark the passage of time. There were a few spots were river rapids were incorrectly portrayed, but that's understandable. Xbox new hardware towards the end of video in development! And some current PC stuff at the beginning. I had never heard of them till a few years ago.

From file explorer I am searching for 'communty' from this folder C:\Users\IBUYPOWER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator ...which gets me 2 results of folders named community. Both were created by MSFS, neither of them were created by me. I had placed objects in the normal community folder with the short path. But when I did that, then MSFS had by itself placed similar objects in the long path community folder. I had to clear *both* folders of items to cure the CTD's I had after the last update. That did cure the problems completely. One or more of the addon's is probably a problem. I should have cleared both community folders *before* the last updat…

My most anticipated update is the elevation data / terrain mesh. So I downloaded the update (9GB program update + 4GB from the market), and took several flights to some famous mountain areas. To my biggest disappointment, I can see no change. It’s still the flat, rounded, and smooth mountains everywhere. Have I missed something or done something wrong? Have you notice some elevation data / terrain mesh enhancement after the update? Or is your experience the same as me? I am eagerly looking forward to your opinion.
