Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

At launch of the sim when I clicked on the "Live Airport Activity" button on the World Map it showed departures/arrivals presumably based on real world flights, now it shows nothing nada zip? Is this broken?

I wonder why nobody talk about it here.... The clouds after patch 6 are unacceptable, they looked very nice and on high standards from released day.., currently most of the clouds formations look very grainy and pixelated, especially when you fly through them and overal around you... and most on the fluffy one.. the quality has droped very drastically, making it impossible to enjoy the view and cut immersion of fly .... I want to mainly focus on the Freeware community here. I must say I have not heard of a lot of these groups are individuals before. And that's not surprising as how would I? It just appears to me that people have come out of the woodwork to produce, aircraft mods, freeware scenery, websites, information portals, and things I can not even think of exist or imagine will exist in the future. I mean I am working on making bush trips, and landing challenges for MSFS. I almost reinstalled P3Dv4 due to the current issues in MSFS, but after cataloging all the add ons, download links, passwords, etc. I had to muddle through I decided it was just not worth it. MSFS for all its shortcomings is just so much less work: install, drop a few mods in the community folder... done. Kind of puts it into perspective, yes it’s a bit rough right now in MSFS but not nearly as bad as we might think it is at times...🤔

It gets worse with every update in FS2020 apparently you can't stop the engines from the A320 again also the a320mod doesn't fix this for the moment.

Im the only one who thinks the atmosphere of the sim feels dead.. I dont know how to explain very well but i you go to the caribbean or Hawaii it doesnt feel like warm atmosphere it feels the same as if you where in iceland or UK.. Plus there is no reef in any islands.. Here is a video i found..

Hi everyone, I purchased the FlightSim 2020 Premium Deluxe version from the Microsoft Store on launch date. I didn’t change any installation directories or whatever but now I wanted to install the 320 Neo add on but I simply cannot locate the installation path or any folders whatsoever? I already used the developer mode to show the path but the path that it shows does not exist?:-) pretty strange eh? Actually the desktop symbol and the one in the start menu are they only are the only „proof of existence“ I have administrator rights and only one harddrive C. Any suggestions how I could find the folders and solve this mistery? I don’t want to rein…

I love this plane more than the A320 because of the yoke 😉 It’s a wonderfull plane and very well modelised, why have the devs lost interest in the project ? Any thoughts ?

Just curious, picked up a bargain 28 inch 4k monitor yesterday for around 30 dollars 😄 OFC i understand my GPU (1070ti) will just not even be able to breathe but anybody tried it with any settings. The monitor is freesync , although im still learning about it and what it does. I would appreciate if anybody could help me get a decent stutter free experience if possible. many thanks. Hi All I recently dowloaded MSFS onto a brand new pc I bought specifically for it a couple of weeks ago. I've deliberately kept my new pc as 'clean' as possible to avoid issues/crashes, and so have only installed official MSFS updates and downloads (eg Japan and USA). Everything has been working great (no crashes etc) and the sim has been amazing until today, when I went to load the sim this evening it wouldn't load past the US scenery page (Monument Valley I think) and a constantly spinning circle. Sorry but this is not a tip or trick. It’s the only 2020 forum I could find. Is there any news about 2020 driver compatibility for CPFlight hardware and Cockpitforyou hardware. I can get no information from the manufacturers and I’ve not been able to fly since MS2020 came out.

Since Tuesday’s update I am having issues capturing the localizer & glide slope in the TBM. It just seems to ignore them I’ve tried with and without the current mods for the TBM. Anyone know a work around or know what changed ?

Are your bridges near NY like this? I mean: they are all on the discover the world update flightplan, I don't believe they let them like this, it must be something wrong. Did anyone experience what I am? After the US update cities went near entirely missing or looking very poor. For example New York looks like a village with no tall building whatsoever and no features, it looks like a generic city. Some ground textures also looking like they are from FS2000. What I did notice during the US update download is that it failed and I had to then tick all of them manually and download them one by one. Something obviously went wrong. Thanks

...have they has the MSFS team fixed the bug with toggle switches in the sim?

I decided to do some flying around the new POI's and some of the draw distances seem to be abnomally short. Like Devils Tower did not appear until I was within a half a mile of the POI, then it dominated my view screen, and the same held true with El Capitan and Half Dome. I've heard others also mention very small draw distances for Crazy Horse Monument and Mount Rushmore. Now once they DO pop in, it appears they stay for awhile, but that initial pop in seems to take place very close to the AC. I'm running the sim on High End settings for graphics at 1080p. Anyone else seeing the same thing? I plan on zendesking it.

That just gives a sense to why MSFS is far beyond anything we have now.

What's with the water going up hills when seen from afar (more than 5 or 10 miles) after update 7? Never seen this before this update. When I get very close it suddenly looks ok. This is Saba This is Sint Eustatius, same happens in St. Barths Zoomed in Are you guys seeing this also?
