Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello. I have simmed a few short flights with the new updates and the mods I use. Hope this is interesting for some of you.I usually only fly the DA62. The mods I use are the working title G1000, Realsimgear G1000, a few liveries I found browsing the web for DA62 and the DA62 mod (updated) I found in flightsim.to. After downloading the new update, I found two surprising things: PFD and MFD were interchanged (the pfd appeared in the left panel and the FMD in the right one), and the AP "danced" around the locallizer. After deleting all mods form the community folder (except the realsimgear one, I "need" it), and trying one at a time, I have found the "culprit…

First off, let me say how incredible it is to fly on the 49" curved monitor, simply amazing, wow! I never thought I'd experience anything like it in flight simulation, I really am floored. This past weekend I've purchased AOC AG493UCX and it is run on RTX2070S not overclocked, nothing on my box is overclocked. I am getting loss of video and the screen goes entirely black pretty much every x number of seconds/minutes when in flight, it is random in terms of timing but it does happen all the time. At this point I don't know whether this is an issue with the simulator or the video card. This doesn't happen if I'm in windows or any other application, also doesn't happen…

hi have a vive cosmos download fine but canr allcate any bindings to my keyboard just sticks on screen and cant get any way to center etc any help?

Steam updated the 300MB but the game never checked for updates, gave me a marketplace error and was looping through press any key to start which is weird because I haven’t seen that in a long time. Anyone else?

Following on from a previous post about CTD on launch. I decided to uninstall and re-install MSFS from Steam. To my dismay it then crashed after downloading only about 2 GB out of 100 GB. I have now re-started the installation because I can't think of anything else to do, but this seems a bit ominous and I wonder if I'm doing anything wrong. When I uninstalled the app in Steam the process was very quick and I was left with quite a few leftover files at this location ..... I have been having issues of late with photogrammetry. I don't know if it is a settings thing or just how it works, but I have those triangular looking trees and melted looking buildings all over now. It seems worse with the new release at lower altitudes. I flew from SAN-SFO in the 320 and both cities had that unless I was looking directly below me. To me this has to be some sort of system limitation because on some of the things that I have seen on Youtube, etc., it looks nothing like that. So my question is, Is this a system issue that I am seeing or is it just an issue with photogrammetry in general? I am at 30 FPS pretty much throughout and am on high settings …

At roughly what time of day are we expecting the 22 Dec update? The reason I ask is that I am experiencing a CTD on launch (at the Monument Valley scene). I have tried quite a few remedies and the only thing left (I think) is to re-install. However I was thinking of waiting for the new update before taking that rather drastic and time-consuming step, in the vain hope that the update may cure the problem. (You never know.)

Hi all Has anyone else experienced this today that they have planes at the gates but nothing moving on the ground or in the air with live traffic selected. Everything was working fine last night however all day today Ive had this problem. Live weather is working and my internet connection is working fine.

Boy, do I love MSFS 2020. It is clearly the next gen sim. And this is from someone who is invested in XPlane 11. There are many minor missing features such as replays, rewind/resume, TrackIR pause, etc. I am sure in time these will be addressed in future updates. Most importantly, there are workarounds today. But one major issue remains without a workaround. And it only affects a small population of people trying to fly with triple monitors, or super duper ultra-wide monitors. That is, MSFS doesn't yet support such views. Current attempts using Nvidia Surround produce distracting distortions which does not actually help with flying. I am trying to raise awarenes…

These include an entirely new VR section to discuss various aspects of it, and very importantly, the Bugs & Issues section will undergo a total overhaul with sub-categories to better organise the huge amount of bug reports. Anyone have problems with B787 and the flight plan? I have inserted the flight plan with the waypoints and have enabled autopilot, flight director and LNAV , VNAV buttons but the plane don't follow the flight plan line. What is wrong? thanks

Hello community, as stated here, some users, including me, have freezes near EDMK or KPT VOR in southern Germany, Kempten. I have of course filed that bug in ZenDesk, but I think it will take a long, long time or will never fixed. So I try to find a fix for that region. My first try would be to deaktivate KPT VOR or the little airfield EDMK as the freezes are around this two locations and I think the more far away I fly. the less are the stutters/freezes. My question would be now if anyone knows a way to disable the VOR and EDMK airfield? And anybody is welcome to fly around there and test if there are also freezes and vote up my lin…

I have only done multiplayer games / chat on Xbox. Does MSFS offer chat through their group session in-game? If, not any suggestion on what app to use for MP chat?

I had some interest in Stream Deck(too expensive), then discovered Touch Portal(almost free), so decided to go that route. Long story short, I have an old Ellipsis tablet, Android 5.1.1, load TP on it with no problem, loaded TP on my Windows 10 computer. They actually communicate with each other. I can use the opening screen they provide to open a web page on the computer and so on, however when I added a key to lower the gear, nothing, same with landing lights. I used the virtual key press and low level key press to program those keys. It looks like TP communicates and works, just not with MSFS. Any thoughts? What am I missing? Mike

Is there anything available yet for the FBW 320 that gets you a more accurate and realistic pax load, cargo, and fuel? I find the default loading within the MSFS menu to be a pain.

Here is a situation I have come up against several times. I get a scenery package for an airport that is a truly detailed representation of the airport. It comes with scenery for the surrounding area and that scenery is great. However, I have photogrammetry for the city which is stunning. I want to use the airport, but, I want to use the photogrammetry of the city. If I load them both, I get duplicate slightly misaligned structures and terrible frame rates. It would be nice if airport scenery packages came with an option to use the surrounding scenery or not (to allow using photogrammetry scenery if desired). This are the issues i cant solve.. - AP - When i use the ap and try to adjust the speed or the VS i have to be super slow otherwise it just goes all the way up or down.. -Radar - Where is the tilt mode, gain, etc..? In the PFD there is a radar settings but doesnt work or i dont know how to use it.. Radar only operates from the screen in the middle of the cockpit down the MFD.. Or how im i supposed to adjust the radar antenna? i know of the vertical mode but is no what i want.. Hi guys, I have looked everywhere. flightsim.to, msfs addons, avsim etc. There is one nice 8k livery at flightsim.to. but it's the old livery. Does anyone know where the new livery might be in similar quality? The megapack liveries are 80% tilted, misaligned, blurry garbage. I have just been downloading single liveries that are community rated on flight sim.to. I have found just about every major airline but Alitalia's new livery. Regards,
