Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Back in P3D/FSX I like to do med-long haul flights in the PMDG 777, 747, QW787 and FSLabs A320. My flights would be anywhere from 3-7 hrs and would use time compression to make those long flights a bit quicker. But in MSFS, I usually prefer doing 1 hour flights in the FBWA320NX. I find that if I fly anything longer that it's a bit too long. Not sure if that's because I'm quickly getting bored or running out of patience, or perhaps the plane doesn't have the same amount of details and features compared to the PMDG and FSLabs. Hard to tell. I would love to do longer flights, but for some odd reason I can't simply get into anything more than 1 hour. What about the …

I have just decided that as there have been a few updates (I never buy V1.0 of any software) now is the time to get to grips with MSFS 2020 after 15 or so years with FSX/FSX:SE/P3D v4. My first experience has not been good. I had to get a refund from STEAM as they supplied me with the Standard version instead of the Premium Deluxe Bundle I had paid for. This was a DLC package and it took 22 hours to download, with the USA update another 2 hours on top. Then to find out I'd got the wrong version and tried (and failed) to grapple with the unHelpful support process within Steam : then decided on a refund. Hi All I'm new to the forum But not new to simming ..about 25 years on ms flight sims . The problem I have is small bodies of water elevating in the game like small hills ,this was never an issue on the first install in September (full disc install deluxe version). wanted to post a jpeg. image but cant see the option to do so Any one else with this issue

I have changed the traffoc option to ai traffic because with real traffic the airport life is death. But after waiting fifteen minutes flying aroung Madrid airport, there is no planes landing/arriving and no planes on runways moving What is wrong? , here a pic of my traffic option thanks . Can anyone tell me how to set up the ai traffic options to see live at airports? thanks

Following the update to 1.12.13.0 everything seemed fine initially. Was able to make multiple flights with no problems. Two days later I select flight and click "Ready to Fly" and the plane gives me a few spontaneous (unprompted) cockpit views, then settles to 45 degree to the right and the view won't budge with mouse, keyboard or yoke controls. This happens with the half-dozen planes I've tried. I've made no modifications other than trying out the extreme dead zone at 25% but I switched it back with no effect on the views. I've searched for others that might have the same problem after this update, but didn't see anything. Any ideas as to how to overcome this …

I grabbed the latest GNS 530 mod and it isn't working for me. I tried the 172 and the Mooney and nada (none of the avionics come on in the 172). Removing the mod brings up all the avionics, including the 430/530. I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong but I wanted to see if anybody else is having this issue?

Some updates before the latest, the departure and arrival airports had a list of recent airports right below the input line. This made it easy by simply scrolling down and finding the airport. Now, unless you enter the airport in the blank line, nothing happens. Also, some airports on the map have disappeared. Also, the globe map listed many more airport than it does now. For example, the globe map does not show Genova at all. I checked all the map filters, and don't see anything that would hide Genova and other airports. It appears as random, since some airports smaller than this one show up. So today, when I tried creating a flight plan from Genova to Poretta in Co…

Hi guys, Has anyone purchased this addon, and how good is it. I have seen the screenshots and I can not tell if the ground textures are low res like P3D version or everything is nice and good now. I was so excited with the P3D but after buying it - I really hated it as the ground textures are low res. And no way to disable it properly and never matched with Orbx Global openLC. Looking for honest feedback on this product for the new sim. Thank you

While digital gauges in the real world offer many advantages, on my pc the text is barely readable( can't go higher than 1920 x 1600 with my video card) and my " attitude awareness" while flying is no longer there. With analog guages I could scan the panel and have a pretty good idea of what the aircraft is doing. There's also the sheer beauty of analog guages that digital ones don't provide. The provide depth, almost like a real cockpit. I don't know. Maybe it's time for me to be sent to a retirement home....;-)

I google on how to change/edit shortcut keys and all that comes up are lists of what the shortcut keys are. I want to change some of them. Thank you...

With the latest update microsoft set the thrust_scalar in engines.cfg to 0.82. The FBW Mod has it set at 0.88. Which is more accurate and correct? Thanks

I was given FS2020 for Christmas and spent the morning installing the 10 disks of data, however when I got to the end it took me to the microsoft store to enter my activaion code. This I did and nothing else happened! It was supposed to give me a launcher download but didn't. Is there any way to get the launcher without going through the whole install again? I'm so annoyed with it at the moment it nearly went flying out the window by itself!

Hi, merry christmas to everybody. Discovered this morning that for some unknown reason there are magenta textures in different places at Asobo handcrafted airports (haven't tested in too many defaults or add-on airports yet, so it seems this is more related to the Asobo handcrafted/bespoked ones). I read a similar post in the past here, and would like to know if this could be due to a conflicting airport add-on installed in the Community folder (or maybe a Mod, or a add-on livery?.). The CTD issues in FS is truly a love hate relationship. Anyone getting CTD's over the same exact locations everytime they try? I'm finding flying west south of Birmingham Alabama from any airport in the Atlanta area (KATL, KFFC) I never fail to get a CTD. Right as I'm at the top of climb from KFFC which is usually over the south Birmingham area there goes the 0xc0000005 error. Another guaranteed location is flying from the Minneapolis area mainly KFCM with a top of climb over Rochester MN, BAM CTD error 0xc0000005 in event viewer... Hello, since the last update i have had problems with the camera movement in the A320Neo. In and outside the cockpit, the movement does not react well to the movement with the mouse. The movement is no longer smooth. With or without a mod, the picture moves with dropouts. Does anyone from you have the problem or a solution?

Hey folks, i have some weird texture flickering with textures which are a little bit more far away from the plane. Hi, Is anybody familiar with key commands on adjusting only the pilot seat up/down and forward/aft position without adjusting at the outside view? In FSX or P3D, you can adjust each one independently, here on MSFS2020 if I want as an example to adjust the pilot seat to an fwd position, basically you adjust the interior zoom together with the outside zoom. Quite unrealistic, or I didn't find the correct key combination. You would think that an MSFS manual would be helpful, especially with all the key commands that differ from what we are used with. I have downloaded the latest mod .8 into the community folder, loaded the aircraft at EGCC and when it loads into the sim I find there is no cockpit, now this is the first time I have ever used the cj4 so its probably something i am doing wrong, any help and advice would be much appreciated . Hi! There's something really wrong after the latest update! First my Challenges are unaccessible (they're back when I remove the a320NX mod... Really???!). Now I wanted to do some VFR GA flying, and... my planes won't take off! I reach the T/O speed, pull the yoke and the plane behaves like it wanted to get airborne but it was too heavy. It's not a hwrdware-based problem (the yoke is properly calibrated, besides the in-sim yoke/stick moves properly when I move my hardware). Any clues???

When I start my first lesson, my teacher asks me, while flying, to look around, do this, do that. But she keeps asking the first question, look around or something, what I do, but I can’t go to the next step. What am I doing wrong. Is it because of my default steer/joy settings that I changed?

I think that the update broke the liveries. Is anybody here that can confirm? I already left feedback on their site, since i don't know where else to contact them. I get a white box on the fuselage. anyone else to confirm?
