Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I’m rather surprised that this has been overlooked by the development team. Does anyone know if there will be any effort made to create visible wakes for seaplanes on the water?

I was hoping that things would change with MSFS, but the amount of apps I have to run alongside the sim is starting to gradually increase over time as more 3rd party add-ons come out. Here's a list of some of the apps that I run alongside with MSFS: Pilot2ATC SimToolKitPro Little Navmap Web Browser Discord The Skypark Aivlasoft EFB That's 7 apps! Now if more addons come out such as ActiveSky for MSFS, that will be even more apps I have to launch. What I have been dreaming all along is for a single app that can include most of these functions. anyone else have the problem with landing gear on the 747 when it is retracted it is coming through the wings.

It seems at my home field KSAT in San Antonio, ATC will often direct major air carriers to land on 31R instead of Left, which is much longer. 31R is usually used by GA and occasional business jets. This happens even though there are no conflicts for 31L. Never saw this in FSX or P3D. Also, most airliners disappear upon landing. Thinking this is because no “AVCAD” like assignments exist for parking at this fairly busy airport. Anybody seeing same problem elsewhere?

Hi. I am using a TM 16000M flight stick. Flying the 152, I am at 3500' AGL, 95kias, 2300RPM clear skies and no wind. Flying out over Kansas farmlands so no hills with thermal drafts or anything. I will have the plane trimmed for level flight and it flies along just fine with my hands off the controls until it randomly decides to descend and then return to level flight and then ascend and return to level flight. Bobbing up and down like this. Typically I have to grab the controls to bring it level and then re-trim to get it back to level flight. What am I doing wrong here? Hi all, Has anyone noticed the surround on the left G1000 display on the Diamond 40NG since the last patch? All other aircraft seem fine, and I the buttons still work around the screen, but the surround mounting seems to have gone. Wondered if it is just my system or a bug introduced by the last patch. Rex WXforce is updated by ORBX if you got it from ORBX. Someone posted yesterday that it was hard to update WXforce, you need login and PW. It may have taken 24 hrs longer but ORBX updates through ORBX Central in less than a minute in my case. Same as all other ORBX products are updated, when you launch Central. Hi Yesterday i remove MSFS of my computer because i was not able to make live weather work after like 2-3 month. MSFS store not working to. I've checked quite a few places for snow cover and I don't see any. I have used the recommended meteoblue site https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/webmap/beta/range-regional-airport_united-states-of-america_5021092#coords=6.81/61.038/-148.59&map=snowDepth~hourly~auto~sfc~none as a reference for snow cover. For example: anchorage alaska shows 1.5 feet of snow. I load up at an airport and no snow using live weather. I have tried loading a themed weather and then back to live as people have suggested. I have even tried several different server locations but no difference. Edit: I just spawned at a random place in greenland.......and its green...... …

Wow, these are amazing. I remember fondly as a young boy standing on top of Heathrow's only terminal (at the time) watching the planes arriving and taking off and admiring the advertising plastered all over them. (Sarcasm off) Now we can can admire 30 planes in our simulator with liveries that look nothing like real life. What a shame the man hours that must have been spent developing these liveries were not spent on doing something more attractive. Will anybody on here actually use them?

I am sorry to say it but 90% of the time i loose interest in MSFS2020 due to conflicts or just straight wonderness about the camera controls. For instance i havent found out a way to go from Cockpit to drone to external to drone to cockpit etc etc . I always end up in Drone or external view with flaps all suddenly deploying and throttle goes a mess. Has anyone cracked the code for buttons shortcuts on this ? Just curious if anybody has got this and if so, what they think of it. It's a bit pricey to just buy on the chance it may be good and I always had mixed feelings about their stuff in P3D. I've already got a lot of nice stuff for France, both free and payware - it's shaping up to be a good region in the sim.

Just finished a reinstall and my community folder is empty. However everything is in the official folder. I downloaded a couple of airplanes from the content manager but still nothing shows in the community folder. Do I go ahead and download everything that is available from the content manager? There is a lot of stuff to download. Don't understand why the community folder is empty. Thanks for the help.

Anyone else seeing this? Done hundred flights and never saw this. Started after the msfs patch. Latest dev version installed. 3 times I have now tried to land at St Petersburg and its happened at the same point each time. As soon as I put flap 1 at around 210kts the plane goes crazy and nose dives to the floor. Happens with AP on and also with AP off. Anti ice is all on. I am nowhere near stall speed at 210kts. Happens even on half empty plane. Wondering if the cold is causing it. Will try flying somewhere warmer perhaps 🙂

I just test flew the G36 to see what updates they made with today’s patch! Took her up to 6000 ft. 25” MP and 2400 RPM yielded 171 KTAS! She also taxied very well and was stable on the take off and landing roll. I guess the naturally aspirated G36 improvement mod may no longer be needed. Can anyone confirm?

Hi folks, If it can save you spending 3 hours like me trying to figure out why the A320's APU won't start (default or FBW mod alike) ... then here's the reason: immediately remove "Uwa light mod - A320" from your Community folder! What a headache !! Who would have thought that a mod on the lighting would affect the functioning of the APU! 😄

Being 13 miles from touchdown A320 NEO. I am at 8.000 ft and ATC DO NOT tell me to descend, so I miss the airport, even over the airport ATC is telling me to ascend back to 8,000 after I ignore the ATC instruction and descend for a go around. Now this has happened before so not just a one off. With the upgrade that I did today I was hoping this would not have happened.😝

I started this thread to get help on tracking the elevation issues after this last patch. Please post any issues here and I will include them at Flightsim.TO for an entire fix for the US. Asobo may eventually fix it all, but there is no indication of when, and each time they issue a patch some issues get fixed and others appear in new areas. As previously noted, the patch fixed most of the issues east of the Mississippi River, but it created new ones in places like Colorado. Also, it did not fix ALL of the issues in the Eastern US as Roanoke and some parts have a few new issues, but it did correct most other parts of OH-VA-WV-PA, etc... I will start... Spotted I…
