Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I own a fixed based 747-400 simulator and am looking to add more immersion to my flying. Have seen Air Hauler 2, Neofly and OnAir. But can I start with the 747 straight away on any of them?

Hello everyone, i need help. I´ve buyed the Piaggio P149. Its a nice plane but as i am testing i see an issue. When i am in flight and took the aileron stick to the right the plane goes to the left an if i wnat roll to the left the plane rolls to the right. All other planes are functionally correct. Any Idea how to fix that? Is there a cfg file who i can change that. Thx for your help Tomcat0568

If you don't go to that forum and don't live near the UK you may not realize a 'mega strom' is hitting the UK today. Will be some interesting virtual flying in that region. Somebody posted they got 60 MPH winds on Sunday night.

I am having trouble with the DA40-NGX autopilot and altitude. Can someone please tell me what is the correct sequence to input a level (eg 8000ft) with the ALT knob. Then how to get the aircraft to climb and maintain the level? Then how to input a lower level and have the aircraft descend to and maintain that level. When I input a new level then click AP and ALT, the aircraft just levels out at its current level. Thanks in advance…

Is there a way in MSFS to load a saved flight (from a .pln file) where the destination and departure are the same airport without having the in-sim GPS go haywire? I'm working on recreating some military training routes in MSFS (using littlenavmap to create the routes), but every time I load the .pln, the in-sim GPS has the departure/destination airport as the next waypoint (it's going to the last waypoint in the flight, and there appears to be no way to re-sequence the GPS to earlier legs) , and this seems to be something fundamental with how MSFS deals with the flight plan, since the issue persists across every avionics combination in the sim, as well as third party …

I'm releasing my CYKZ Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport scenery I've been working on for the last month. I have put a lot of effort into it and I hope it will be enjoyed by many. I will certainly enjoy it myself soon, when VR support is released. It uses hi-definition PBR textures, transparent and parallax windows, 2 open hangars for small and large GA with interior modelling and airplane starts so you can spawn inside a hangar, both towers are manned and have modelled interiors, all runways and taxiways and signs are redone, custom night lighting and signs are everywhere and so on. So recently I begin experimenting ifr capabilities of the sim but isn’t going well. Whenever I select an approach on the g1000, one or both of my screens (pfd and mfd) seems to freeze and won’t come back online no matter if I turn avionics off or even the battery or alternators. I loose all the aircraft parameters and I’m forced to land with the backup gauges, which are only 3 on the bonanza for example. Those of you who have successfully engaged and flown an approach would you mind detailing your steps? Are you using ATC and the default fight planner (world map)? Hello all, I am looking to go onto Vatsim soon and I'd like to improve upon the default navigational system with the Carenado PA44. I've heard a lot about the WT mods, and the A32X by FBW, but less so about this mod: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/gns530-mod/296598 Is this a worthwhile installation, does anybody have experience with it? Not sure if this is me but I seem to have a problem that once I enter the STAR in decent the PFD switches to a straight line to the airport versus the actual approach I've been seeing in the PDF for most of my flight. Is there some option I can disable to stop this from happening? I'd like to the STAR on the whole approach and not a straight line to the airport even though the plane continues to fly the correct approach. This get's really crazy when you manually need to change your STAR in flight and find the straight line to the airport doesn't go away and you have no idea what you STAR actually looks like to the runway. So I just got my first pair of pedals ever (been simming off/on since FS98). A set of the Logitech ones. I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong either in use or in sim sensitivity settings. I was testing them out with the TBM and first I needed a LOT of right rudder to keep it straight on takeoff. Then all of a sudden as I'm picking up speed it just whips violently to the right. I never had any issues like this using a twist rudder on my old Saitek X52. Anyone have any tips? I've tried no sensitivity adjustments, -30, -45, nothing seems to fix the wild whipping and need for extreme right rudder on takeoff at the start.

Hi folks, nice to meet you! I've just bought the premium MS Flight Sim 2020, and it's absolutely amazing! But, the one thing I wanted to do was create a real simulator from it, so what I need to do is have a view outside of the cockpit, that doesn't display the plane. In other words, I want to project the scenery onto the screen but not be able to see the plane itself, as in a simulator this doesn't make sense. The whole airport lighting issue needs to be addressed. The following things are some of the things that they really need to fix: Intensity and look of the rotating airport beacon. It doesn't look real and stands out way too much out in the distance. Runway lights shouldn't remain on at all times, they should be off during the day! The intensity of the lights need to be more realistic, according to most real world pilots, it's usually hard to spot an airport at night, the best way to spot one is to look for an area of darkness. individual light orbs need to be dynamic, the higher resolution you are, the more big and blurrier it gets. I noticed KARB (small airport in Michigan) has sequenced strobe lights but according to FAA charts it is not supposed to have any. While KDTW and KJFK has no sequenced strobe lights (on my last test flights) and they should have them. Also the KJFK Canarsie lead-in flashers (from VOR CRI along the parkway) leading to runways 13L and 13R are not present. Anyone seeing these problems and possibly at other airports?

Hi everyone.. I just bought Flight Simulator 2020 for my "desktop replacement" PC gaming desktop...as I was installing it, turns out I have the version that works with "Xbox Game Pass for PC." It's been years since I used Flight Simulator, wondering if this "Xbox for PC" version is the same as the "Windows 10" version or if I bought the wrong version....would someone be kind enough to explain the difference? Has anyone tried this https://github.com/bymaximus/msfs2020-toolbar-little-nav-map yet? It just says to put into the Community folder and that is it. How do I tell it where my LN Map is. When I start up MSFS and click on it an empty window pops up and that is it. Would be very nice to have LNM integrated into MSFS. Kind regards

Today for the first time I decided to try the 747. I have not selected this aircraft before today. I downloaded a flight plan using simbrief, and selected the runway 28R at San Francisco. First thing I noticed was all the screens were working except for the FMS. Those screens are blank. Nothings is showing. No flight plan is seen, no prompts asking for inputs, just blank screens. Am I missing a setup step? I do not have any issues like this when I select the airbus or the 787. Thanks, Jim B

I'm getting ready to reinstall on my computer after a rebuild. P3D is my main simulator still, as I'm flying almost entirely the study level airliner sims. It does seem clear that MSFS is the future. As I'm preparing to endure the pain of reinstalling P3D, I'm wondering if MSFS is going to ease this in the future. I had been hoping this was going to be as easy as purchasing everything in the marketplace and just let the sim install everything. Hello, I have the Honeycomb yoke and of course the 10° bug + X56 for throttle. So i am using FSUIPC7 but i have a serious problem when setuping throttle for TBM930. Each time i try to assign FSUIPC7 throttle for TBM (dircet to FUIPC or FS as normal axis) the throttle are not working well. when i try to move the throttle they do not keep the position and go back to reverse alone ?
