Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I notice on the 787 the small nav arc below the pfd is now just a blank box, it shows waypoints but that is not was there before the up date...did I miss something with a mod?

Hi there, When I use both Little Navmap and MSFS 2020 ,I get about 24 FPS..Is there anything that I could do to make it faster? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. When I use MSFS 2020 by itself I get about 60 FPS.

I thought that you could save a camera position with the combo ctrl-alt-x, (some number on the above the letters), and recall the position with alt-x. Evidently some (all?) planes come with camera definitions. Can you over-ride the views in the camera.cfg file? What is the point of the ctrl-alt-x if it is not effective because of the camera definitions. It's very difficult to edit the camera.cfg file and get it just so. I also mapped the number keypad to the number I choose in the ctrl-alt-x combo. I tried deleting the camer.cfg file and I got a view without a cockpit. Cool, but I restored the file to the original. Ever since I installed the December 22 update my approaches to airports end up in a CTD around 10nm out of the airports. Airports where this happened include ENAL (ORBX), ENVA, EDLP, EDDK (Aerosoft) as well as all stock airports where I attempted an approach to. I am running the DVD version of FS2020 and only am using the FBW Airbus320Neo. I attempted two approaches to two different airports (LKPR and EHAM) with the stock A320Neo, but here, too, FS2020 refused to shoot the approach and had me landing at my desktop. I did remove the Community folder, rebooted my system and restarted FS2020 to no avail. The crashes do persist. I also did a repair from within the …

Has anyone any news regarding creating traffic? I haven't found anything on a traffic editor. I am afraid that on Day 1 I won't be able to create AI traffic to follow my plane to an airfield that I choose. I will get frustrated if this is not available on day1.

Hi All, I have both a Logitech Radio and Multi Panel. The radio panel works in FS2020 but the Multi Panel doesn't at all. Can anyone suggest a reason for that and a remedy please? Thanks Dazzystar

I have really been enjoying this mod, but I am having an intermittent problem that is driving me nuts. I do not know if this is a problem with the mod, or if it is a peculiarity of the Airbus that I just don't how to handle. Sometimes, after loading the plane at the gate, and bringing up the power, the altitude selector window is stuck on 00100, and I cannot change it. I have tried pulling the knob to engage selected mode, but it has no effect. If I continue with preflight, the problem continues, and I usually just end up having to shut down the whole sim without flying. In this folder on my drive (C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore) there are 103 GBs of files. Can I create another folder on my E: drive where I have MSFS installed and move all this stuff to there. If so, does it have to be the same path structure or can it just be E:\Flight Simulator Updates? How would I let MSFS know where to look for these files? And how might I do this without cutting and pasting which would take forever. I saw another topic about changing the installation drive and moving MSFS but that is not what i want to do. Hello: Just tried to fly the 747 for the first time and for some reason, the FMC is blank / dark /off. This is sitting on the runway all systems on everything else looking fine. I try to adjust the brightness but nothing happens. Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong? Thanks, Dave

I can't find a button/key assigment allowing changing transponder modes, for example in steam gauges based C172 (off, test, stby, alt). Enabling alt mode when in the air is quite important, the lack of the key is disrupting my real world procedure (I fly using a physical panel, mouseless). I can't even find such assignments in FSUIPC.

Can the megapack be used for moving ai traffic? I have been following the developments on the two ai packages and I am not liking what I am reading. So I am wondering if the megapack liveries can be used on traffic either "live" or offline. The liveries are very nice and I enjoy seeing "realistic" planes parked at the gates but they don't do anything. I would love to see them moving to get that live breathing airport feel. It's just not the same without this and I like the visuals in msfs too much that it makes it hard to go back to P3D. Thank you.

Hi, Having problems getting a 'Group' flight to work. My grandson lives in Bermuda and I am in the UK. I create a group and send him a request to join which he does and I can now see that we are both in the same group We both select the same server and attempt to meet near the same runway. Our coordinates show that we are near to each other but neither of us can see each other. Anyone have any ideas please?

Could some kind fellow pilot remind me how to load a (SimBrief) Flight Plan but spawn at the gate and not ready to roll on the runway? Ready to take the 747 on a trans atlantic but don't relish sitting there for some time programming the FMC waypoints but still want to go from cold and dark. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I like the look of quite a few of the Orbx airports for MSFS but I notice that they're not available through the market place, you have to use Orbx own store app thing. Whilst I don't have an issue with that, can someone confirm where these airports will install to? I already have some Orbx products for P3D so have a library already, situated on a different drive to MSFS. I don't want these new airports simply to install to my existing Orbx library, I want to keep all my MSFS stuff together on the same drive. Is this possible? Thanks

Whenever I pull up to the gate and ask for the baggage, they tell me something along the lines of "We don't even know where the baggage is." Apparently out virtually slacking off is the answer.

After installing some add-ons, it is now a mess in my Community folder. I remember reading a post, I thought it was here on AVSIM but couldn't find it back, which was saying we were free to change the mod folder names in the community folder. Unfortunately, it is not the case, changing the names induced unsolvable errors. Maybe it is because I first used the mods with their original names and changed them afterwards, maybe it works better if I change the name BEFORE using any mod. Anyway, I wanted to rename the folders within the community folder, with something like ACFT prefix for aircraft, LIV for liveries, SCEN for sceneries, etc... It makes it convenient because…

I can easily record a flight in windows 10 by .. windows key + alt key + R ( whilst in the sim ) but when I connect a mike to my lap top that does not work so I am unable the make a narrative as I record the flight. Any ideas what I need to do ? thanks 😬

Not long ago I watched a YouTube clip filmed in the cockpit where an airliner was landing at an airport. The weather looked fine and calm during the approach but over the airport there was a massive rainshaft that was ominously visible from the cockpit. The pilots continued their approach. The runway and most of the airport was not visible due to the weather but this airliner continued heading right for that bad weather. As the plane neared the airport the turbulence increased and light rain streaked across the cockpit windows.
