Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

About a week ago I decided to try out the headphone mode again but could not get any sound through the headphones. I had tried it out when I first got the sim and it worked then. Now it doesn't. There is nothing wrong with the phones. Youtube vids and music sound fine. When I go into options and put on the headphone mode and plug in my headphones sound to the external speakers is muted but I get no sound from the sim. After a couple of minutes I get static like I have lost the signal. I am using Sennheiser headphones that have a base transmitting unit that plugs into the computer that sends a wireless signal to the phones. Is there something else I have to do in the sim …

Some of you might have noticed, MSFS uses an aggressive sharpening filter. Some like it sharp, fair enough, but I think the image looks much cleaner without it. Thankfully, we may now easily disable it. Also, there are better sharpening tools using NVIDIA Freestyle. Follow the link below for more info. Search for your UserCfg.opt, open it with notepad. So yesterday i was on a flight from northern germany to Longyearbyen ENSB up north when suddenly at some point the moving map of my G3000 (Citation Longitude) stopped moving and instead my airplane symbol started moving upwards on the display finally dissapearing. Trying the map panning function to get my navigation back failed also as i was not able to pan upwards at some point. Might this be a Sim bug, G3000 mod bug or a general moving map bug? Anyone else tried flying up north? Best regards

Hello all, I have just purchased Flight Simulator 2020. Prior to purchase I checked my system requirements against the published requirements in the Microsoft Store and believed they met or exceeded the minimum. However, during installation the installer said my system did not meet the minimum requirements and the program would not run correctly. I do not understand why it said this - I have listed my system specs below with the minimums in brackets. Does anyone have any idea what is the issue? Hello, tonight I’m flying KBZN-KBIL using the WT G1000 mod. While on the ground at BZN I set a direct to for KBIL and it drew the line on the G1000. After I was airborne, I took an indirect route to avoid mountains during climb and was off the direct path. I hit the D-> button, hit enter enter to try and go direct KBIL from my current position hit enter enter did not activate to new direct to. I tried rotating the inner knob which brought my cursor down to activate and hit enter. In this case though the magenta line did not redraw and remained from the direct course I had set while at BZN. Ever since I got my Thrustmaster Officers Pack controllers (joystick and throttle) my altitude, heading, and speed adjustments knobs will only change by 10s (heading/speed) or 1000s (altitude). Often this is convenient, but it means I can't fine-tune my altitude or heading to the exact correct value. I'm adjusting these using my house by hovering over the knob in the airplane and scrolling with the scroll wheel, not using any button on the joystick or throttle, but this issue first started when I connected those. Occasionally when I start a flight the knobs will work as normal (altitude by 100s, others by 1) but at some point in the flight it will go back to adjusting by …

Firstly I’m struggling to update the AIRAC for MSFS 2020 and more specifically the A320 (I use the FBW mod), I have downloaded the navigraph beta manager and updated it through there but it still has the last AIRAC cycle installed. Secondly i use simbrief for my OFP and would like to electronically write on them (ATIS, Dep/Arr Clearance, On/Off Block etc) does anyone know a way to write/edit PDFs without buying any extensions/can you download the simbrief OFP as a word document instead? Since a few days I have noticed that each time I start FLIGHT SIMULATOR a Windows Firewall permission request pops up with a message where I can read... F:<n>\flightsimulator.exe the <n> index increases sequentially from session to session... Started at 2, next time I started MFS it was 4, then 5... Example: F:7\flightsimulator.exe ( btw, F: is the partition / drive I have installed MFS in ) The only difference from the default install was adding the GNS 530 mod as well as the Fw 149d Piaggio. Anyone with the same experience ? Thanks !

Hello, Have you noticed that clouds / mists at very high altitudes (FL330 350 370 ...) completely bug MFS? I am towards Agadir it is very well done super beautiful I see nothing around the plane but my FPS have dropped from 30 to 15 10 ... And it returns to normal after passing the high altitude clouds / mists ...

It just found out a few days ago that MSFS is fully compatible with NVIDIA Freestyle, which recently started offering the original Reshade filters. It's free, and NVIDIA Freestyle is already included and installed on your system once you enable the experimental features mode in GeForce Experience's settings. You only have to download the Reshade shader pack NVIDIA released. Bottom line, you get powerful post processing (at no performance cost) out of the box, no hacks, seamlessly integrated. I just wanted to share my screenshots while making a quick flight over Buenos Aires before going to bed... Using ultra settings at night I get between 30 and 20 FPS 😕... I'm gonna wait for the RTX 4000 series before upgrading my pc.... It's really nice to see that there are many freeware enhancements to stock cities... Cheers...

Hi , In the moment i am downloading FlyTampa YSSY direct from FlyTampa with 18 to 22 kbit. Installers shows me 11 hours remaining, there are 2 severs to choose, first i tried USA and shut off there is another with Amsterdam but same thing.. This means my PC have to stay on for the whole Neight for what - a 1Gig Scenery..??? What happens with the severs from FlyTampa..? Any one else have sutch a bad DL from YSSY for MSFS ? cheers 😉

The last 2 days when flying the DA62 I have major problems with the Autopilot. Never had the issue over the previous 3 months. On takeoff at around 1000' when pressing AP it refuses to stay enabled. This continual pressing of the AP or using key pad z does not make any difference till, after about 5 minutes of trying eventually the AP will enable, I do not have the same problem with the 2 other aircraft I usually fly (A320 and TBM) Any Thoughts? I updated the track IR software and it shows MSFS2020 but nothing happens after loading the sim and then start TIR. The TIR software shows movement so issue.
