Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi all, I am running into some problems with my joystick's elevator settings in MSFS2020 I use a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X joystick in combination with FBW A320. All axes but one work perfectly. It is only elevator down that goes berserk as soon as I only give the slightest touch of elevator down. I have been trying several options for sensitivity, dead zone all to no avail. As soon as I push the stick just a tiny bit forward, the A320 is like a Stuka, attempting to get to the ground soonest in a steep dive. Landings, caused by this misfortune, are all disastrous. New to msfs. When setting up the CH yoke, peddles, throttles etc the control setup works perfectly and is smooth. When I go into an aircraft I notice the rudder, aileron and elevator at full left is following the CH controls, however at full right the visual controls flicker. At central they are ok. I notice when on the exterior view (end) when full left rudder is applied it flickers and centralizes its self. So does the full left aileron when full left rudder is applied. I have done everything I can think of all with then same results. I tried other aircraft in the sim and they all do the same thing. Hello all, I'm currently flying at African Rift Valley, i'm seeing some offline terrain textures patches at some areas, not Bing ones. Anyone has encountered this at any other areas?

Not touched the sim for 24hrs. Went to start this evening and it would not launch. The .exe would not cooperate with a box stating something that my system cannot access it. I went through the folders to find my saved flights, as it is possible to launch from one of them... Ouch, it did start up, but it was FSX!!!!!! When looking more closely yes, they were pointing to FSX, Bizarre. Have now rebooted PC and launched MSFS, but when checking for updates it has now started to install v.1.12.13.0. Again bizarre as I already have this update! Anyone had this scenario? Thanks Martin

I have made a flight plan using littlenavmaps, departure from La Gomera (GCGM) direct to first waypoint HIE , but the autopilot cut the route and turn to find the second waypoint MERAN (RED LINE) Is that Ok procedure in real life or is a bug AP game? thanks

Hello - I just ran the update today for MSFS, and then went into to do a flight from Midway over the Chicago Lakefront. The city was all messed up, spikes and weird land formations. I realized that I never moved the contents out of my community folder before updating. How to I fix is, and what are the correct procedures for updating with respect to the contents in the community folder? I know I have seen posts about this but I am a bit confused. Thanks in advance! It looks like recently in one of the Dev releases they added TRK/FPA as an option, which is great. Do you know if they have started to implement their custom autopilot yet? I figured they might have since TRK/FPA to my knowledge isn't something that was available in any of the default aircraft. If they have started to implement, has TD and vertical nav been fixed to follow managed climb/descent yet? Have the flight directors been fixed? I'm just trying to figure out if I should stay with the stable version or go with the dev. Also, is there a better way to check to see what was fixed, implemented with each dev release? Can Bing Data World Graphics be On while photogrammetry is off, or does photogrammetry need to be on in order to get the Bing Data? Just curious since both were off in my sim since I am not loving the Photogrammetry at the moment.

Hi Folks. I'm looking to see if there is a modification for the grass texture in the sim. The U.K. airfields that I have flown in and out of all use the default grass texture and it looks really strange for the U.K. In my opinion of course. Other folks might like it. New addon liveries for the MSFS G58 Baron are all showing just plain white. Several of them. The default livery and two earlier addon liveries are still OK. At first with newly added liveries I was seeing some stripes that did not meet up, so I removed those liveries, downloaded fresh files and installed them again, without success. I am using Addon Linker. I checked several other MSFS models that I have addon liveries for and all of the other models are fine. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Is there a link in the game to the Content Manager I have missed, or must I go to something I have bought in Market place to find it?

I have been flying FS2020 for about five weeks with no problems at all until about three days ago when the game froze. The game will run for about five mins then freeze for about 15 seconds, the sound is still there. I have reduced lots of settings down and switched some items off but this makes no difference. I bought a new lap top just to run FS 2020 so I am confident it is powerful enough especially as it was operating so fine previously. Any ideas what I can do ? Many thanks

For a few years now I have been using Logitech Pro Flight Rudder Pedals and have never been really happy with them and, despite hours of experimentation over that period, the input sensitivity is either too little of too much. So I decided to start looking around to invest in a more expensive set of pedals with hopefully a much more realistic response, similar to what I remember from my private flying days. Before the next update arrives, could someone please explain what the process is in where and how to move the Community folder prior to updating the sim. Seems that this may have been my problem during the last update. Just want to make sure to limit the damage after an update. Don't want to do another 2 reinstalls to get the sim working again. Hi there, as I simply do not find a solution to this, I hope someone here was able to solve it: with MSFS, I get a bright, white shining edge around many if not all simobjects. Although not always, it seems to depend on the light and from where the object is illuminated. I already tried to turn off sharpen and all other post processing effects via useropt.cfg, tried the nVIDIA sharpening instead, no sharpening at all, various resolution scales and different AA modes. It stays. Is there any solution to this? Thanks for any heads up...

Gawd. Since the Christmas update I can't enter the Controls Setup screen without an immediate crash. Apparently this is a known problem and only happens if you have more than ten peripherals connected. Prior to the update it didn't cause a crash, but MSFS would only show the first ten devices. Presumably this is why I couldn't see my Honeycomb Alpha yoke when I first connected it. And BTW, and the mouse and keyboard are counted as 'peripherals', so really it's only 8! Apparently you can avoid a crash by unplugging until you have less than 8 devices, then re-plugging when you exit the config screen. I haven't tried this but obviously it's nothing more than a temporary…

Finally the realsimgear panels are now compatible with FS2020 . Just in case you don’t know who they are here’s their website. www.Realsimgear.com now I’ll be able to start planning my setup since ill be moving to a new place with plenty of room for FS stuff . here’s a video of their panel’s working on FS2020 .

Lately (perhaps coinciding with the latest Sim update) I have been unable to tune my instruments (especially HSI/VOR CRS knob) in one degree increments. It seems to default to 10. It's driving me absolutely batty! I've checked my mouse settings and they are all set to 1 click not 3. Is there a solution I'm overlooking? To add to the head scratching- on the ground I can tune 1 degree at a time.. but not airborne. Baffled. Ta- C
