Since this sim does not provide a default start at an airport of our choice, we're always taken to the world map. Originally, the search line provided not only the usual search option, but also the list of recently used airports. This is no longer the case. Somehow, in one of the updates, the search field no longer opens that list. Too bad. It's a small thing, but I miss that small feature. What I would really want, is a default start ala FSX.

Had installed ver 1.12.13.0 and was working properly. Then it appears it tried to reinstall 25GB. As it started I stopped the app. Now I am stuck at the screen showing the desert and does not go beyond that. I see no support ideas on what to do at MSFS forum/website or re-install or how to delete? Anybody have ideas on how to proceed? I am installed via a PC game install and I do not use game pass. I don't know why every time there is an update for MSFS 2020 Asobo seems to disable how other parts of Flight simulator from working. I had two models by Canadian Mods, the Boeing 747-400 and Airbus A330-300 working very well before the recent updates. Now, the engines of my Boeing 747-400 won't start, and now every time I want to start the engines on my Airbus A330-300, the simulator shuts down. Also, I downloaded and installed textures for the Boeing 747-8 in the colors of Delta Air Lines. The titles were mirrored and the 'D E L T A" title on the fuselage appeared cut off. Hello guys, The latest MSFS patch rendered the Mooney unflyable for me. As soon as hit "Fly" the FPS drop to about 15-20. Turning the avionics off improves FPS a bit but as soon as they are turned on again FPS drop. It was working flawlessly before the patch. System Specs: i9-9900k @4.7Ghz RTX3080 32GB RAM and so on... MSFS is set to 80% 4k and it works on steady 60FPS except the Mooney. Didn't change any settings along the way. Reinstalling (the Mooney) didn't help either and i have no big intentions on reinstalling the whole sim.... Has anyone got an idea of what could be causing this issue? Any help apprec…

Attempted to fly the DV20 for the first time last night. Default W&B was far forward and I couldn't config into the balance range. Anyone ditto on this? Suggestions?

I am not a programmer, but I would like to see someone develop an Ipad application that can be connected to control the drone camera in Microsoft Flight Simulator. I am imagining individual controls for position, zoom, rotation and speed, but also a combo control to control all three if the user would like. This kind of app would be much appreciated for content creators. Especially with the new flight control replay coming soon, you could really fine-tune the camera sequences to your liking.

Just wondering if this has been everyone else's experience. The Flight Director does nothing (does not provide guidance) unless the autopilot is engaged. If you are following a nav source and click off the autopliot, the FD won't follow the path.

Couple months ago there was community suggestion to release optional beta builds prior official release. This way those who opted to test earlier could reveal all the bugs prior Asobo/MSFS introduce new bugs; thus, saving cost of development and community physiological state after each patch! I know there was discussion to implement this in 2021. So here we are a week after the new year. I'm justing wondering if it still on the table of things to do ?

I'm running into difficulty getting my throttle control to work with the TBM 930 Throttle/Reverse Thrust system. On previous simulators I simply assigned a "Reverse Thrust" key and used the entire throttle range to control it, I've tried that here but it doesn't work with my basic stick. No matter what I do, the mid range of my throttle works from Idle-Up and anything even a smidgen below that activates reverse thrust. I'm using a basic Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro right now, though I have a Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS in the wings. It's going to be bad enough when I set this thing down and try to control the roll-out, but taxiing right now is pure hell. She'l…

Anybody else still unable to access the MSFS forum? It has been a month now of no access! I am still able to login to the Insider area and the simulator. Is it normal/real? When I go into the clouds the speed is about 20kts less, with GA planes.

Here I am finishing a two hour trip, line up on final following an approach >>>>then.... CTD Nice VR trip though, nice intermittent real weather, no stutters, ultra settings all round, then for NO understandable reason, with lots of VRAM, lots of RAM, lots of power..... CTD = Cannot Take Dis makes the sim something you avoid

Hi guys Whether this is just me but the clouds just recently look worse than ever. Very grainy, popcorn looking with lots of noise around the edges. I’m aware the clouds are on the bug list but seems to be much worse visually these last few days. I have the cloud slider on ultra - to be honest even dropping to medium I don’t see any difference in the visuals. Cheers

Hello, I just updated FS and my Vpilot client keeps giving alarm messages that has not been there before..? Its in swedish but the alarm reference maybe someone recognizes? Every time I load up a bush trip my FPS drops massively, usually down to 12-15. I can usually fly along at 40 with no issues. Can even fly into Sydney with both ORBX and Flytampa sceneries and still get in the 20's. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
