Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi When i use TFDi Pacx or Self-loading cargo with G-sync enabled, MSFS starts to stutter. When i minimize Pacx( for example) everything works fine and smooth. I was checking both fps counters of Monitor and MSFS and syncing was unstable. While Sim is between the range of 50-55fps, monitor counter is syncing between 50s and 90s. For some reason is trying to reach a higher refresh rate and i guess this is the main cause of those stutters. PC spec; 8700k @ 5.1 , Asus OC RTX3090 , ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming Monitor - 27" 2K WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS, overclockable 165Hz, G-SYNC™ if anyone knows which is the cause of this issue, let me know! thanks …

Hello, For a couple of days now live traffic is no longer shown on the MFD (WT G3000) and i have absolutely no radio comms on every frueqency. online traffic in the data section and real time online traffic are activated. Anyone else having problems with this at the moment? Best

Does anybody know the folder/file format for msfs to read your ai's......in other word.. (Main folder) or name; ai-aircraft..simobject..texture and layout/manifest (the wording).. I have tried everything and apparently not doing it right. Its inside the Community folder.. I personally like flying GA aircraft and classic airliners, so I am hoping A2A simulations will bring the Lockheed Constellation to the sim. I have flown that aircraft In P3D through thunderstorms with the passengers screaming in terror in the back, very realistic lol and a nice touch was the air hostess bringing the crew coffee. I also once got the sack from the airline for landing without the gear down! All good fun.

Hi all, it's my second round with the problem in the subject: I tried to start MSFS2020 normally, but it locks at the initial screen with an eternally turning wheel at the bottom right of the screen. At the same time some Microsoft DX and Visual C++ starting appeared in the notification area. Subsequently the MS Store and Windows Update (error 0x80080005) don't work anymore. For my knowledge there is no other way, I have to reinstall Windows10 20H2, and this is the second not unfortunate case, this is a real unsolved problem with MSFS2020 and the MS Store garbage that are driving me to reinstall a working operative system for the second time in 2 months. Hi guys, debating buy REX for FS2020 as I've used their product in the past with FSX and been very happy with them. I'm wondering though, I thought I read early on that FS2020 in game ATC ignored REX's weather and continued to use it's own. Is that actually the case or does it actually recognize REX's weather input now (or did it always and I read something incorrect)? Tired of in game weather not matching flight planning etc. and also concerned if I start flying on VATSIM that the in game weather is not going to match since I know it uses a model based on real weather and not the actual real weather in the sim.

With video editing I incorporated real world Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis into a flight over Greenland. The lights are from 15:05 to 18:55. Would be great to have this feature in the sim for those Northern Flights!

I re-installed MSFS2020 and did a flight and everything went OK. Great Performance system wide, as normal. But then I realized I had not installed all the content, so I did that, closed the sim down and then started up the sim again and created a flight. But unfortunately it turned into a slide show on the load screen, down to 1 or 2 FPS. I closed it down and shut my computer down. I did not however reboot after installing the sim content. Should I have done that? Maybe that is the problem. I run the Steam version. Regards

Got my PPL in 1978, and started simming in 1987/ For the past years, I have been flying P3D, and most of my flying now is on GA aircraft by A2A, mainly the Comanche, C 182 and the Texan T6. About to replace my old Dell PC puchesed in 2012, with a brand new one, and one of the reasons I want to do that is to try MSFS 2020. We have updated the G1000 for compatibility with today's Update 5 (version 1.10.7.0). This is just a compatibility release -- the features are the same as in v0.3.1. Apparently update 1.12.13.0 (Dec 22) introduced bugs into the SimConnect API that cause random CTDs in flight. So any of the EFB, 'mission', control-mapping, etc applications that we all love to use may cause a CTD. This is been confirmed by MS/Asobo, per the links below. TBM 930 The overall cockpit it simply too dim and too dark. I can turn up the backlighting in the instruments, like the AP, but I can't see the VS wheel or the push buttons along the bottom of the Garmin panels or the buttons on the yoke. One of you brilliant people fixed the lighting in the G1000 panels, maybe someone can add some sort of overhead panel light that will brighten up the panel. Regards, Ray

I have been flying MSFS 2020, since Aug. 2020. My system was running better than I could imagine. I purchased an MSFS 2020 Standard addition via XBOX Game Pass in Aug. of last year. Just before Thanksgiving my SSD (With MSFS 2020 Standard Edition installed on it) died. The tech didn't get the system back up and running tilll after New Years. While I was downloading MSFS 2020 at 1.4 GB I got an Eror 50%. I was given the option to either Resume the download or Cancel the download. I Resumed the download. Hi Everyone, There is apparently some tech tidbits out there about the recently announced Alder gen of Intel desktop CPUs set for release this time 2021. Two bits of news circulating is the hybrid core composition and a centralized scheduler. The scheduler imho could be the most compelling innovation. This could either mean that the scheduler presents one large processor comprised of all physical cores or takes over all multi threading distribution. Software would no longer need to be coded to use different cores. As we've seen with MS FS 2020 even distribution of load across all cores is a challenge. Hi all , After Update to V1.1 i see a lot of busches around the runways example RW 34R and the Catering Truck goes to the Frontdoor ( ?? ) from the side and kills the planes nose..?? Hi has anyone got any useful tips that could improve the user interface with the knobs on the G1000 in flight sim2020? I have not bind any particular key to these various knobs just the cursor but I am having real problems getting my cursor to click on the appropriate + and - . I don't have a mouse just the laptop keyboard along with Hotas Thrustmaster joystick and dual throttles.

I jumped in when FS2020 launched, but then decided to let the product stabilize a bit. A small part of the reason for that was the status of the Honeycomb products not really being fully supported correctly in the sim. I'm wondering, now that nearly five months have gone by, if or when these issues will be resovled.
