Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi all, I wonder if anyone is planning an add-on that ages the planes as we use them and records the hobbs meter? Or something that say, damaged a tyre on a hard landing etc...? Would be nice, we had something similar in X-plane 11.

This is literally the only thing that absolutely breaks the emersion factor on most flights is having to pause and head into the menus to toggle this briefly at larger airports. Not everything new is better. FSX, P3D had this right.... Just make it assignable already! Love the VR experience otherwise.

Hi you lovely people! I still have issues with all planes in MSF, including yours, when it comes to programming in STARs in the FMC/CDU. I got an email that the issue with STARs dropping waypoints was fixed and thus closed, but I am still having this issue. Please have a look at this video for a better description of the issue:

I'm sure I read somewhere that SPAD.neXt now allows mapping of GNS530 functions but I can't remember where. I also don't see anything to that effect on the SPAD.neXt forums, although perhaps it's a beta feature. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

When I try to install the simaddons CYHZ scenery I put in the code they sent me and the "next" button is greyed out. So I go to their support site and you can't use it unless you register. So I click on the register link and I'm told "The registration is disabled. To register please contact an administrator". Am I supposed to know a simmaddons administrator? Seems kind of like a bogus company.

I flew into KSAN from LVFR today and as I broke through a low cloud layer, there were trees coming out of the runway. Has anyone else had this? I have the tree mod and have been using that for a few weeks and this is the first time I have seen trees on the runway. Any thoughts on why this could have happened?

I'm trying to find files for MSFS 2020 in the file library, i just want to browse what is there. Trouble is I can't find anything with a wild card search. Cam anyone guide me please?

Hi, Thought I would give flying on Vatsim a go as I never have done before! But run into an issue straight away.. The default A320 seems to have issues tuning radios? It seems once you've tuned it once and swapped the frequency into the active window, the knob to tune the standby stops working. Therefore I can only tune 3 frequencies (one on each radio) before I can no longer tune any more. Does anyone else have this or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Can anyone tell me the sound values to hear again the rain sound at the windshield? After last update i can't hear it anymore thanks

I start the a320 NEO or the 787 on the active to make sure everything is running. The jets are on, I advance the throttles, they are moving in the AC but the engines are not spooling on. In the Cessna 182, the throttle works fine using the same hardware and settings. I tried using the F2 and F3 on the keyboard and same thing, no response of the engines. I don't know if I unbound something accidently. I went thru power management, and everything looks ok. What else can it be? Any suggestions? Same issues with default or tthe mods. Gnacino

Hi, OK here's is what I'm trying to accomplish. I have a repaint that I want to associate with Rob Youngs Turbo Bonanza V3 Mod. I also want to use the very well done FS2020 AddOns Linker. Based on what I have gleaned, I would add the repaint texture folder to Robs Bonanza texture folder? The take the repaint json file and copy the texture stuff into Robs json? Then I use that Layout genrator thingy to redo Rob's json. The repaint json won't matter now. I then edit Rob's aircraft config, adding the repaint entry to that? Am I on the right track here? Seems I don't really get any high FPS no matter what I do. I just set EVERYTHING to minimal. Render Scaling = 50. Terrain Level Detail: 10 The rest on LOW or OFF. Aircraft: Airbus. Location: Gatwick. I expected FPS of at least 150 but no.... I was still on 50-60 and it looked like a joke. Display: 1080P Monitor | 8700K @stock | 32 GB RAM | ASUS GTX 1080ti OC Gaming | Latest NVIDIA drivers. Is this normal? FYI: I don't need or want 150 FPS per se but I am trying to find the root cause to the really bad VR performance I have and something is not right in 2D. Hi! Is it possible to somehow do precise adjustments to the mixture/rpm levers? I need to fine tune my mixture/rpm and i find that its rather difficult since each "notch" of the mouse wheel increases the value too much. I want to "twist" the levers to make some fine adjustments but i cant find how.

Hi I am building a FS panel with several components like Switches, Rotary Encorders, Rotary Switches displays ... I will control the components with Arduino mega 2560 R3 and Siminnovations AM 4 when it is comming out. Today I installed my new 1 TB M.2 SSD and cloned my MSFS drive onto it using Macrium. Renamed the clone as my E drive which was the one MSFS was originally running from and disabled the old drive temporarily. MSFS ran OK until I diabled the old drive, but must have been running from the original drive even though I had renamed it drive F. Had to run a repair in Microsoft store which only took about 15 mins and now all is running OK with my settings and logbook restored. I guess this was probably a digital rights issue, but thought it was worth a mention in case anyone else tries the same thing. Just wondering what will happen when I re-enable the orig…

I realized last week my photogrammetry in Data was off. I thought I was losing out and turned it on. To be honest I had clue what it was. Today I just used the drone and flew around KORF Norfolk I bought and noticed the buildings, ships and trees were Ugh close by so I turned it off and I got normal trees and buildings and it looks better What is your preference and why? Been running fine for a week, now I'm getting a black rectangle flash every few minutes in the center of the screen. I have steam version, & only happens in msfs 2020.
