Well...i mean... it adds to the immersion flying a shabby old 152 or the Cub. But sitting in a 27 Million Citation or 5 Million TBM the last thing i'd like to see when looking against the sun are scratches that somebody caused using the wrong cloth. Heads would roll... So as some other effects in MSFS i feel them to be way overdone... A kingdom for a mod that removes them!

After a 7 hour download (yes, I purchased the full monty), installation went well and I am finally starting to fly around a bit. The camera thing is a bit of a nightmare, but once you start to get it, it does a lot of nice stuff. I couldn't resist it so I got Orcas by ORBX and after comparing the default to the addon I must say the addon looks terrific in this sim and fits like a glove. This is all very promising and portends for very good things happening down the road with this sim. Lee

I had a look around here, at FS forum and at the official buglist, etc, but couldn't see anything specific about terrain LOD issues. Sorry if this is a well worn subject but I just haven't spotted anything in a while. A lot of people on FS forum are talking about LOD problems with respect to trees and buildings, specifically melted building and photogrammetry issues. But no one seems to be mentioning the "morphing" mountains that I am seeing since the USA update. Terrain elevations adjusting and changing withing 1/2 mile of the aircraft. Its most noticeable in places like the Grand Canyon. This for me is the most "jarring" visual issue since the update. Along wi…

I am sure I read a topic that described how to use the SDK to refresh a sortie after making a scenery change, without going back for a full reload. Would appreciate if anyone can point to the original topic or outline the "how to"

I just flew into KFNT and there is no terminal building; just some jetways with connections to nothing. I know Flint has had it's share of issues over the years but wouldn't have imagined that the terminal building would have been stolen. LOL!!!! The things you see (and don't see) in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Hi guys; I was wondering...is there a replay function already in the sim?...because I notice in some youtube videos that some people are making plane spotting shots from different angles at airports... Is there any third party camera/recording add-on available on the market...or not yet?... Thx.

Hi guys So changing the time of day even going back to launch day, for me at least has always introduced a "pause" until the sim settles down again. This I can understand due to the changing of textures etc - without fail once the pause is over FPS returns to normal and all is well. I've noticed recently, and I'm not sure when this has started but whenever I change the time in the sim, I get the usual pause but afterwards the sim is just a stuttery mess permanently. Before the time of day change its been performing well. Only way to fix it is to reload the sim.... Anyone else seeing similar? Thanks

Mathijs Kok at Aerosoft was discussing extra assistance for the new simmer that purchases the incoming DA/Aerosoft CRJ add on. Here is how Mathijs introduced the new and innovative concept on his forum: There will be another way to learn about this aircraft. A good friend, a real pilot with thousands of hours on the CRJ will be doing short training 'sessions'. These will consist of short (say between 5 and 10 min) video's about certain aspects of the aircraft. The first one will be called, 'Bring Your Coffee and Let's Sit Down". These videos will be available shortly after release. The videos will use screengrabs of the VC, so you will look through the eyes…

As it is right now the approach used by ASOBO in MFS for ground physics leaves a bit to be desired 😕 After the joy of yesterday's flights in the A320 I decided to revisit the effects of winds while on ground. It's something I hammered Austin's head about for years because I didn't like the way it was modelled, and he eventually addressed some XP11 updates ago, making it a lot more acceptable even if not "perfect"... In MFS - thanks to Murmur's always surgical observations - ASOBO followed a different approach, probably implemented on one of the updates released after the public version became available and users started to complain about how difficult it was to …

Can someone assist with how to makes my views pan inside the cockpit and outside the aicraft as we did on P3D or FSX? Inside the cockpit I see I can use the mouse, but that's cumbersome. I want to be able to map this to a button on my Pro Flight Yoke so I can freely pan around without those stop-by-stop camera views .

Since I use switches for the battery and alternator, like Honeycomb owners probably do, the autopilot heading moves 10 by 10. I thought this was an old bug that had been fixed long ago... I noticed this in the Cessna 172 with steam gauges, when trying to set the autopilot heading on the compass gauge. Did I miss something here?

Hello all, I was curious about which of these aircraft is the more complete from a simulation point of view. I know they're both considered good, but is one considered the superior similation to the other?
