December 16, 20205 yr Are the clouds moving in MSFS weather system? or are they just static? Without starting a discussion again in Prepar3d with Active Sky the clouds move with the wind / system. But standing now at the airport the clouds in MSFS just hang steady in the sky
December 16, 20205 yr Live weather clouds move, I don't know about preset or those injected by other programs. Edited December 16, 20205 yr by Tuskin38
December 16, 20205 yr I'm pretty sure they move. I've been standing looking over a plane I was painting loaded up in the sim before and seem to have noticed the reflections moving. Looked up at the clouds and they were moving along very slowly. James
December 16, 20205 yr Not sure whether they are or not. I'll jump in and crank the wind up to 25 knots and have a look later. I believe they are moving though. December 16, 20205 yr They move in live weather. As a matter of fact I was sitting on the runway the other night and was watching fog roll in across the runway.
December 16, 20205 yr Commercial Member They do move accordingly with Weather Force as they do in live weather: Tim FuchsManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com
December 16, 20205 yr The weather does move in presets as well. You can spawn in rain and if you sit on the runway long enough the rain clears.
December 16, 20205 yr Not sure. We have no rotary wing aircraft.... Rainfall is hooked to clouds in MSFS, that's why the rain seems to 'clear'. The presets in Weather Force are dynamic, meaning the weather is ever changing. December 17, 20205 yr I've gotten stuck in mts. because of cloud banks rolling in on me, weather can change in a hurry "up in them thar hills". Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's
December 17, 20205 yr You can watch sped up footage of MSFS, and see that the clouds do indeed move naturally.
December 17, 20205 yr Make a time lapse, they certainly move, They not only move, they change shape. It looks stunning. Edited December 17, 20205 yr by MaVe64 MaVe Creations - FSLTL - Free AI sounds - Giving your airports more atmosphere! www.mavecreations.weebly.com
December 17, 20205 yr The Rain shafts move beautifully as well. I have been on a taxiway waiting to line up when I could see one coming towards me across the field. Next thing, the rain was hammering on the roof. Very atmospheric. I can't wait to see the realistic ground snow deposition and ice coverage they have planned for 22nd of December update. Frozen lakes do you think? This might be the first step towards proper seasons. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
