Im having a beast of a time in the last few days with my headset, its about 11 months old, nearly out of warranty (i have submitted a ticket to pimax) Things were mostly great till a day ago, no changes to the system (14900k + 4090oc, win 11 hags mode on, pimaxxr openxr mode ), i’ve also powered things down tried another usb 3.2 port etc 1. Often now, if i exit vr mode in msfs (even a clean community folder) msfs will freeze, cant click anything, unless you file exit pimax or reset the headset, the headset view either goes black or garbled. 2. This has been a few weeks, the headset fails to charge over usb, have to swap batteries 3. Often i cant even get vr …

Has anyone been having a problem with their Toggle Toolbar key press in VR recently? It only started failing on me yesterday, but I've been all over the controller options deleting and reassigning a key press for toggle toolbar in VR without any luck. I read somewhere that I should update my OpenXR installation which I did, but to no avail. I've had this problem before but I can't remember how I fixed it. Do any of you guys know of a fix for this?

I have a HP REverb G2 VR headset that has 2160*2160 / eye. For two eyes that would be 2*2160*2160=9331200 pixels. 4K has 3840*2160=8294400 i.e less pixels. Should this not imply that VR is a heavier load on my system compared to 4K. A dealer has suggested that this likely is incorrect.

Anybody using this for MSFS with an RTX 3090? Your feedback would be appreciated. The Bluetooth adapter is for the handheld devices right? Has your experience been positive or negative?

I have decided to try Say your intentions, and I am quite enjoying the experience. I now find it necessary to take notes while in VR, but find it breaks the emersion, when I have to take the headset off. Is there an app that works as a scratchpad in Vr? If so where or how do I set this up? Thanks in advance

https://pimax.com/blogs/blogs/pimax-crystal-light-headset-of-choice-at-official-msfs2024-preview-event A quote of note; "Jörg Neumann, the head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, revealed in a livestream earlier that about 10% to 15% of MSFS2020 players choose to play in VR. MSFS2024 builds on the success of MSFS2020, and one key innovation is its improved performance for Virtual Reality (VR)"

For context: I'm playing on a Quest 3 via Steam Link. Everything else works fine (with the exception of being unable to effectively open the pause menu without a keyboard), but I cannot engage my right brakes thereby causing my plan to Tokyo Drift to the left every time I land unless I slam on the parking brake. I've gone into the options -> control settings and found that my left and right brakes are bound to each respective controller. Cool...makes sense to me. The problem is that the game does not detect that I am in fact pressing the grip/"squeeze" button on the right controller. This is verified by pointing at nothing and pressing the button to nothing happening w…

So, I would like to get a VR headset (Quest 2 or 3), but I am not sure if it would be worth it with these specs on medium or low settings. I don't know if it would help if I kept my flying away from big cities. I mainly fly the F-35 or PMDG 737 or 777. My specs are: Ryzen 5 5500 CPU Radeon RX 6600 GPU 16GB RAM 2TB SSD Thanks

Yesterday I got my CL. Finished my work half day erlier just to try the headset asap. The setup was very quick. Watched some vids on Youtube. I used Quest3 which ran perfectly in most cases. I did not change anything in the sim settings. The settings are mostly on HIGH. Put on the headset. Felt comfortable. Fired up the sim. I noticed a big difference between Quest3 and CL. 1) The lenses. Pancake lenses vs aspheric. There is a noticable difference. Quest3 is much pleasant for the eyes. But apparently it must take some time to adapt to CL. 2) The clarity in the cockpit is the same with both headsets. But the ground textures on the ground in CL have better…

Just a quick question for those that know. If you're coming from the Reverb G2 to the Pimax Light, do you have to uninstall anything Reverb related that may cause a conflict (a.k.a Windows Mixed Reality)?

Hi, I'm reading the MSFS guide for OpenXR Toolkit on the developer's github page and I'm a bit confused about some of the definitions in one section. ie,: "b) Finding OpenXR limits This step consists in finding the upper limit up to which you can push the OpenXR Runtime and this mostly depends whether you’re using motion smoothing. The following consists in using the OpenXR Toolkit scaling factor as a tool to measure the OpenXR Runtime limits: Keep in-game render resolution to 100%. Note the OpenXR Runtime scaling factor you’ve reached in the previous step and adjust the OpenXR Toolkit scaling factor with the same value. Reset the OpenXR Runtime scaling factor ba…

SOLVED; Posting solution here. !! Now I fly in VR, but I always load up MSFS in 2d first, set up flight then switch to vr and put my headset on. If I want to just do a bit of 2D I don't plug my headset in or load up the Meta software. Well it seems there was an update to my headset when I used it for another pc app, and I was signed up to the beta. Removed the Beta and installed the stable Meta Software, not even plugged my headset in or loaded the Meta software and MSFS now loads fine. Once loaded VR works fine ! Crazy that this would affect it !!!!!! No idea why something in the Beta Meta software must have been running in the background a…

Meta developers have released a patch that fixes the compatibility issue with the OpenXR Toolkit. I recommend participating in the public test channel v68 to install the hotfix.
