Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Dev Mod (Standalone) seems to be broken for me.It is causing CTD when the sim is loading (before the UI) Is there anyone facing this? Is there an update from FBW ? Thanks.

For me, and I can only comment for me, being the lucky person I am, but this sort of thing still blows me away compared to my early days in FSX... A wonderful smooth flight, no stutters, in real weather on a Glorious Spring Day over London at 6000 feet, landing at Farnborough (Add on airfield) with just a few wisps of cloud in the sky running on a 2K screen at Ultra everything.... Even with the current issues that some are having and I really hope they get them all sorted out so that they can enjoy this to the same level I am enjoying it... Just tried to do a group flight in south america (the great south america bushtrip for anyone interested), and we noticed that we had terrible stutters/freezes every second. When turning multiplayer offline, or changing servers (the period when the other traffic hasnt spawned in yet), and the stutters dissapeared. We had to call it, the sim is unflyable at the moment. Perhaps Asobo/MS can tweak something at their end, if not this will need an emergency hotfix.

Updated to 1.15.7.0 (France + Benelux) which added a bit of extra "landmarks". However, i'm unable to see them in full glory. They are just regular computed buildings instead of handcrafted. Example: MAS (Museum Aan de Stroom) in Antwerp should look this (screenshot from MSFS announcement): However, it looks like this (ingame screenshot) Same goes for other new handcrafted stuff. Rolling Cache is OFF, in Data settings: Online Functionality is ON, Bing Data World Graphics is ON, Photogrammetry is ON etc... so it should work but it's not. Idea's are welcome.

I have AMD CPU 5600x, MSI Radeon 6800xt and 32Gb of RAM (Viper 3200). SAM is enabled in BIOS, as well as CPU PBO. Developers FPS counter says I am GPU limited. Tried various settings in MSFS and seems that the only setting that has significant impact on FPS is Terrain Level of Detail, regardless of other settings. When, for example, at LYBE default scenery (tried EGNX and other various default airports) I get 28-30FPS at Ultra settings sitting in CJ4 og FBW A320 on runway with all systems powered up. That is at 2560x1440 resolution. Trying the same at EDDF or EGLL gives 20ish FPS. I was surprised that even when lowering resolution to 1024x768 (not only rend…

Hello, I am trying to configure the TM quadrant to use it with WT CJ4 and I am finding some issues, the most prominent of them being the difficulty of making the hardware detents to be equivalent to the ones in the sim. I don't even know if this is possible. If any of you has been successful with this combo, would you care to share advice/configurations? I have found much information about the quadrant and the A320 (as was to be expected), but not much on the use of this hardware with WT CJ4, a plane I have come to love. Thank you very much.

I think I have heard that. At least they are not as good as payware plane right ? I am thinking about all versions. For now I have the standard version through Game Pass for PC. But I will not continue using Game Pass so when purchasing it there is no good reason to buy a version above standard if the extra planes are no good. Not directly related to good or bad but I think still important at least for me. In the standard version most planes are glass cockpit which I don't like. I'm at FL440, rock steady. No rocking back and forth on the roll axis at all. Is it a fluke, or is it fixed?

Anyone else experiencing the CRJ panel resetting to Cold & Dark after 1.15.7.0? Happened to me twice tonight before taking off and needless to say I rage quit. I think it happened when I opened PushbackHelper and a PDF file using a second monitor, but unable to replicate it. It might have something to do with the EFB and because Cold & Dark is my default state. I always turn the EFB off when not using it, but it will turn back on when I'm multitasking with my other monitor, for some reason. I don't know if that has something to do with it? I'm not posting on Aerosoft's forum unless it keeps happening, but want to see if anyone else is getting this? …

Don't try to fly out of Courchevelle and over the mountains at night... *sigh*

Basically, if I start the game and do a flight, it runs fine more or less, 30ish fps sometimes higher sometimes lower, no big deal. If I end the flight but start another without closing the game, the game runs at 5-11 FPS and the CPU and GPU load are both down in the 20s% like nothing is going on. I have only tested this so far taking off out of KCLT with the Longitude and the A320N (stock one). Anyone else have similar experiences? 6700k RTX 2080 32GB RAM Game on 970 PRO

I have wasted soooo many hour trying to get the A/P on the Honeycomb Bravo configured correctly. I have watched many videos on ways to do it but none of their ways seem to work. I have at least got the throttles, speed brakes, landing gear and flaps working OK which in its self is GREAT but do what I may I cannot work out how to get the select switch on the top left to work with the Incr/Decr on the right. And the buttons in between only seem to work now and then but I can live with that. It would be so good to have all working. I am 79 y/o so may be that is half my problem!!!!? Why such a GREAT piece of hardware is sooooooo hard to set up is really beyond me. I am using …

I'm really not impressed with the MSFS in flight map. I'm sure I've read here about being able to replace it or run with a better map in the menu bar, but a search revealed nothing. Please could someone point me in the right direction? I have downloaded Little Navmap which looks good, but need to keep using Shift Tab to get to it and was looking for something to use in game. Thanks.

Hi, ever since the last update the photogrammetry in London has stopped showing. I've gone to the market place and there were some updates for the UK Photogrammetry apparently (only small). I've updated everything and it's still showing the default scenery. I've double checked my looking at the UK World Update and it is indeed owned and installed. I've gone into the settings and disabled / saved the photogrammetry only to re-enable and save... but still nothing 😐 Is anyone else seeing the same thing in London? I seem to be seeing Paris showing fine with photogrammetry, so although I haven't tested many placed... it just seems to be London. I'll try experimenting more tomo…

Your packages are out of date. In order to get the necessary updates and go online, you will be returned to the sign in screen. Do you wish to continue? If I say yes it does not go to the sign in screen. It restarts and looks for updates like it always does but does not find any. And continues to start up. At some point later I will get that message again. This has been going on for about a week now. Does anyone have any ideas about how to cure it? Thanks.

This has happened twice to me recently with the sim freezing. are there any solutions to this. There is no issue with un-updated packages that I know of. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you . Rolf

Hello all! I downloaded the update and I thought something was weird as the update was 97GB....Once installed, I open the sim and I only see 2 airplanes. Note that I have the premium deluxe version and that I have NEVER messed with the folders or anything like that.

Unfortunately this was very short and inconsequential as we don't see any figures as to how much the controls were deflected. Moreover yoke movements appear to be dissimilar even with naked eye. Looks like the horizon line was the benchmark, and superficially should suggest some kind of synchronicity. I think with their resources they should do something more serious in proving the veracity of the flight model.
