Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

In the World Update 4 release notes, it mentions the new Airport Wizard that will make adding new airports a lot easier. Has anyone found out how to fire that up? Is it in Developer mode on the SDK side?

I was creating custom approaches for Aspen airport and came across a problem. It does not appear that the “course to fix” or CF leg is correct. Can someone verify this? I thought the error might be mine, but if you look at KPDX airport ILS 10R approach. I attached picture of this. On the missed approach one is supposed to turn right and intercept 160 degree course to MULES. You can see in the code this is correct. However, the autopilot is intercepting a 137 degree course to MULES. This appears to be a problem with the autopilot reading the code wrong.

The warning appears shortly after start screens appears then FS2020 loading terminates. A warning Kaspersky window will open asking to disinfect then reboot to complete. Sofar this sim has given me over 160 CTD's, but at least I could enjoy it on short flights. Today, I got the "packages out of date" message, and since then, everytime I enter the controller configuration, it says "loading"and then crashes to desktop. Before people tell me my hardware must be wrong, I have tested MSFS on four totally different machines by now, some AMD, some Intel, with different GPU's and RAM. Still, I am plagued by these CTD's and since today, I can't even change controller settings anymore. Without USB controllers, the CTD's happen much later in flight, and a few times the autopilot (remember no controllers) even manages to complete the flight. …

Hi, After installing Update IV I have visited the airports of Megève LFHM, Nice Côte d'Azur LFMN and Rotterdam The Hague EHRD, but they are not present. Instead it appears that there are the same default airports prior to the update. I have also looked at the folder Packages / Official / OneStore and the referred airports are not there, but in the Content Manager everything appears installed. Please, can someone confirm that these airports have been installed and that everything is correct? Thank you in advance.

With each World Update, we get a Marketplace sale of country-specific items. With the understanding that there may be better discounts at the developers' own sites over the next few days, if not immediately, what do you recommend to enhance the update (or to avoid at all costs!)? As ever, one question will be whether the Orbx City Pack (for Paris in this case) is worthwhile now, and there is also the Prealsoft Paris Landmarks to consider. The Bleriot will be recommended, no doubt, but challenging compared to a modern aircraft of course. Thoughts?

Can anyone explane this. I have been flying every day since that update and now I have to update again. Will the new one follow? Exiting times.

After the 1.15.7. update, all the items in the Community folder (linked and non-linked) show as "not installed" in the Content Manager. They still work just fine, but does anyone know how to get them to show as "installed" again?

I think you need to update the sim first by going to the Microsoft store and then starting the sim. The sim does not always do this automatically. This may be obvious, but I think if it's not done, it can cause problems. I once updated only through the sim and had problems.

In game my graphics all seem okay, however, in the Hanger (including in the background behind the core menu boxes) the graphics are wrong. It's as if they're being presented in some odd stereoscopic/3D display and I'm missing the glasses. For example, the step-ladder you can see several ghosted images of it in various colors as the image rotates. I also have clearly broken imagery as the CRJ is panned around where suddenly a cyan screen fills most of the screen and then proceeds to bleed from black downward for about 20 seconds before returning back to the distorted plane image. Is anyone else seeing this, and is there a known fix?

I accidentally put my computer in sleep mode while i was flying. When I woke it up again I was back in the game, but it told me I had to sign in again. I did that but now all the settings are back to default, and all the progress is gone too. My logbook is blank, the progress counters are gone etc. some things remain like the achievements. Any idea how to get the logbook back?

Hi all Just noticed while doing a flight that atc is calling southwest airline flights 0 (zero) and then flight number. Other aircraft are also getting no names. Minor but another bug none the less.

I'm not sure what's going on here, but when I launched MSFS it says it's updating to 1.14.6.0? That's what I have been currently using. Why is it updating to the same version all over again? I thought the new WU4 today was version 1.15.7.0? windows screenshots tool

Working Title mod seems to be broken.

Seems I have lost all my airport mods that add an airport that is missing from the default sim. I have lost PALH, PAVD, PAWD and some of the Colorado Ranchers Club airports. Anybody else experiencing this?

Went to load up MSFS and I have to download this update now, 22GB! The notes don't seem to indicate a lot, so hope it doesn't break anything.

Hi! Im getting a bit fed up with the atis in msfs only presents the air pressure in Hpa and not QNH. Which males it very annoying when flying in Europe. And since the atis in Msfs never matches the real life metar of the airports getting a real metar is not a choice either... Any tips? /Niklas

I performed the latest update (1.15.7.0). The 1.16GB seemed to go fine and then it started the 22GB update. There it appears to have stalled. So I clicked pause on the downloading and rebooted the PC. Now whenever I start MSFS it is stuck on "Checking Updates". Currently running a timer and it is over 5 minutes. Is that normal? I cleaned out my Community folder to nothing and have tried starting MSFS through the MS Game Store site and through my local app but just keeps checking for updates. The version does say I am as 1.15.7.0. Anybody else gone through this?
