Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I want to fly from KTEB To the Statue of Liberty and back, But I want to do it IFR, can I do this in FS2020?

have you noticed that the sim can't decide whether to speak imperial or metric? My sim lists runways in meters in some places and feet in others. How much of an affect could this be having to the internal operations of the sim? Would ATC be confused if it never really knew the altitude of a runway because in one place its in meters and in another its in feet? I'm sure this has been pointed out before but since I just figured it out, I thought I'd mention it. Maybe some of these bugs/problems are rooted in mismatched units -- kinda like that craft that crashed on Mars that one time.

Flight simming since the 1980s. Not a casual simmer, but rather hardcore. Building a home cockpit as of writing (A320). Asobo/MS can we please, please NOT be forced to update when YOU choose, rather when WE, your customers chooses!?? Every update since release broke things. The only improvements are some eye candies, i.e. 'World updates', which are great in general, but not if other qualities of the sim decrease! I know that having different versions amongst the users can create support nightmare, just do not offer support for people, that do not have the latest version. Everyday, I pick up an airfield more or less at random to do warming up circuits with the Spit'. Today was LGLE Leros, in the small Greek island of the same name. A beautiful Mediterranean setting and one heck of a short runway hemmed in by hills with some wretched wind turbines. Nice.

Good morning. After a 3 month wait, i have received the new PC I intend to use for msfs. I have been tweaking the settings for a few hours and i have found many suggestions on the web about configurations. Some of the advice is conflicting. I was on an approach to land. Suddenly I got a message Your packages are out of date. In order to get the necessary updates and go online, you will be returned to the signin screen. Do you wish to continue ? I said 'no' to finish my flight. So they cut my online access and suddenly was flying over an awful offline texture ! I put the online functionality back 'on' but the message came back. After three times, I said 'yes' to be transported to a loop with the old "press any key" screen. Hi, Before I go on I have read countless posts on this 'problem' that i seem to have and everything i have tried just does not work. I'm stumped! I've not used MSFS that much in fairness since its launch hype however i decided to install the new standalone FlybyWire A320N via the installer. This works fine, is installed in the Community folder and i can fly the plane in the FlybyWire default livery. I cannot for the life of me get any other liveries working whatsoever. I've seen screenshots of more than one aftermarket plane in the sim at once elsewhere (example). How does one load up more than one plane at a time in MSFS to take a screenshot with both planes next to each other? Is it possible with developer mode and if so, how?

Had this for a while and she worked really well before but tonight I flew the 160 and she was sticking to the pavement and was really tough to get taxiing. Also, the last notch of nose flaps sent her into a dive that was almost impossible to pull up from. It was not this way the last time I flew her. Anyone else have this aircraft and seen the same happen? LouP

Hi, while waiting for France and Benelux, I thought perhaps we could exchange some interesting flying experiences. My flight yesterday from Qamdo (ZUBD) via Nyingchi (ZUNZ) to Lhasa (Gonggar ZULS) may qualify as one. I hasten to add, I've only been a GA flight sim pilot since FSX, with no special flight or computer knowledge. But here goes: Powering up the default TBM 930 at Qamdo, the oxygen mask warning come on immediately! Qamdo is 14,000 ft up versus highest cabin pressure of 10,000 ft. So, thought if bleed is on, then some time after engine start, the cabin should pressurise and the warning should go away. And interestingly it did, but only after lift off…

So I finally bit the bullet and bought MSFS, as I was getting burned out with P3D. It looks absolutely stunning out of the box, and I'm enjoying getting used the different key commands and camera mechanics. I decided to go throught the training lessons, just to have them done but I seem to be encountering a bug on the 2nd lesson. When it starts out, it says the instructor is in control, but she's clearly not, as the aircraft is on 29% power, and descending quite rapidly. Yesterday I lost more than 220h in my flight history. Out of a sudden the history had disappeared.

Is there any way to bind a key to a customized zoom level? Often times as I fly around Im zooming in and out and therefore will lose my original custom zoom level and the only way to get it back (since you can't see a digital number on HUD) is to pull up the camera window onscreen which is a real PITA. I like a custom zoom of .62 and would like to bind a key that would set that exact zoom for me any time I want it. I understand that a saved custom view will also provide whatevr zoom level i wanted when saved, but im more interested here in finding out if theres a command that can strictly be used to just set any zoom number I want? Is it just me, or is the MSFS Live Weather option not working. I start flight with clear skies, then click on Live Weather and the drop down changes back to clear skies. Is this something I am doing wrong. I have always done it this way ... and it just stopped working about 3 or 4 days ago.

I am using all 3 of the Working Title (G1000, G3000 and G3X) mods and am not able to turn on the synthetic vision in the Kingair 350I. I can select it to on if I click on the PFD and bring up the menu page, but the synthetic vision does not turn on, just the brown and blue horizon. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have read several methods to save a long flight in progress so that I can come back and resume it at a later time. Am I wasting my time? Is this something that can't be done. I have tried to first pause the sim (P to pause and CTRL P to un pause key I have bound for this purpose) before saving. Tried saving as .FLT and .PLN file. Load the saved file then un paused sim. None of this works for me. The FMC does not have the flight plan loaded as it was when I saved it. So can this be done? Thank You. Bill McCracken

Are RNAV approaches working in the sim? When I activate an RNAV approach in the Longitude it reverses course and flies back to the previous waypoint on the flight plan. It does not fly to the IAF. Glide slope also does not react and stays pegged at the bottom of the glide slope scale even when intercept should be happening. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
