Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I noticed there are new drivers. Now I have a GTX 1080 and have not changed drivers since 440 series...now I figure I have 2 choice if I'd like to try updating: 466.11 - newly released and apparently causing P3D crashes (I dont own P3D so doesnt effect me) 465.89 - most recent driver prior to the 466.11 As far as MSFS2020 is concerned (and other gaming besides the P3D issue)...does anyone have a preference with one of these over the other?

Made a long haul flight today from mid-US out to Africa. During that time, often happened to switch between cockpit and external views. No problems. Then, shortly before I was going to begin my descent, switch once more. When I went back into the cockpit, everything was gone. No gauges, no switches or knobs or levers, no lighting. Just bare bones cockpit. Had to save the flight, close and reopen MSFS

I fired up discord for the first time in a few months and noticed right away that the FlyByWire server was no longer on my list (it was previously at the top). I had read and posted to it without incident prior to that, and every other server I've participated in was still there, just no FBW. I re-added it manually, and now it will not allow me to post without verifying a phone number. Why on earth would entering personal information like a phone number be required just to post on a discord server?

...on it at takeoff most of the time? I don't think it is related to wind direction or velocity just sometime as the nose lifts the plane jerks sideways, as if there is a stiff x-wind. And other times it will not do that, so it's inconsistent. My yoke is centered FWIW. Does this happen for all users?

Immediately after the latest update, all airplanes that I have flown have a severe elevator spiking problem. At the least bit of backpressure the yoke in the simulator starts to spike 5*-10* degrees. I've never experienced this problem before. Landing can be a nightmare trying to get the airplane on the ground. I have had the sensitivity set perfectly ever since the sim came out. I've played with the sensitivity but it does nothing for the "spike" in the elevator. Tried restarting the simulator, rebooting my computer. Nothing that I have tried has helped. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

Started sim today after patching yesterday (and grabbing France content) Sim finds a 5.6 GB new update. Anyone seeing this?

I have only the AFC Bridge and Navigraph data in the community folder (not linked) and MSFS shows them uninstalled and I cannot make them install. Have not seen this before. Any ideas?

HI, The sim crushed at the end of the latest update process. Now it crushes at the loading screen (the FRANCE/BENELUX screen) every time when it is launched. Any ideas how to revert it. Many thanks.

I've reinstalled quite a few payware planes (not purchased in Marketplace) and reinstalled about 7 freeware airports from (after using Addon Linker to delete all add ons prior to updateing). In the Profile/ installed segment It is still showing those re-installed as "not installed". Yet, I just finished flying those "not installed" planes and from those "not installed" freeware airports. So I find this profile thing "fishy". No big deal, I guess, but what else is not right after update?

Pitch and roll are unusable. Initially, inputs don't result in much movement of the stick / yoke (in the game), but then suddenly there is too much and the aircraft rolls or climbs/dives uncontrollably. I've also noticed that returning the joystick to the centre position, does not result in a corresponding movement in the game. In MSFS calibration everything works fine (in Windows too) but none of the settings (e.g. dead-zone, sensitivity, etc.) fix the issue in gameplay. I have up to date drivers, and the X52 does work fine in other games like X-plane or DCS. I am currently using an old Logitech Extreme 3D in MSFS and that works without an issue. Anyone e…

Hello all, I am just wondering if the mod devs have fixed the update fixes which are fixing fixes previously applied to fixes inflicted prior to the latest fix to the updates 14.April. I am getting black screens on the g1000 and g3000 aircraft which I can only assume has been a dedicated MSFS breakage of Working title Mods. Has anyone got any idea of the progress to fix these mods from the latest update> Regards Tony

Hi. I have two homemade simulators. One in my main Home in Valencia and another one in my town. Both with fs-2020 and Windows 10. In Valencia my simulator runs ok with TrackIR but in the town the TrackIR runs ok with the software from natural point but when I start the sim doesn't work. I tried uninstalling and install again, I tried changing USB ports and nothing happens. Any idea? Thanks.

While flying on Vatsim, I noticed that I could see other aircrafts miles away as if it was CAVOK/NCD, when I was in clouds and low visibility, whilst runway lights were not visible (which is how it should be). Any fix for this?

Hi all. When I started todays Update, the first 1.2 gig downloaded fine. Then restarting MSFS my Kaspersky AV kept saying there were unusual and dangerous objects, and deleted things with no option to stop, and forced a computer restart. I have since tried to re-run MSFS, with and without AV. But keep getting this error message “Access to the content servers is currently unavailable. Please ensure you have an active internet connection, and try again later”. Any ideas as to what could be causing this message.?

I have noticed after yesterday WU time to time ATC missing some audio transmissions (not all). I can hear mic clicks but there is no audio speech just text in ATC window. Have anyone experienced the same thing or it just me?

Hey, so i have a little problem with the controls. First, im not a trained pilot, but already gained som basic experience. Heres my Problem: As soon as i engage the Auto Pilot, the Aircraft leans to the right but flies straight on. Even if the Aircraft is perfectly trimmed out and Wind is set to zero. As soon as i disengage the Auto Pilot, i can fly the Plane completely horizontal and it still flies straight on. I have this Problem with any Aircraft that features an Auto Pilot.
