I seem to remember having ground services (pushback, baggage handling, external power) at almost all airports. Now it seems no ground services are available at any airport.

Hi all. Just wondered if there were any UK airports that were seeing much multiplayer GA traffic? I keep bouncing around to different to airports, but most seem pretty barren, with everyone seeming to prefer the larger, Gatwick’s and Heathrow’s of this world. I get a kick out of seeing other players taking off, and landing etc, but not so much the big boys. Any airports worth frequenting?

I’ve noticed in 2020 that when I’m flying low and slow I can see buildings, I guess you can say morphing into shape, almost like the old slow texture loading. Is there a way to speed this up? I’ve dabbled with 2020 since release. I’m not over taxing my system but it would be nice to not see textures refreshing just a few miles in front of me. I think I explained it right. I’ve seen this in a few videos and in others it’s not present. Thanks. FYI, I just updated and now I’m hit by the performance issues everyone else is seeing. Hi, all, I used to make sceneries for FSX and now I’m willing to do it again for MSFS. My question is regarding the cities. We know that we have some cities well modelled in the simulator (photogrammetry from Bing/ASOBO), but most of them are not. It is not that difficult to import photogrammetry cities from google though and it is quite easy to find lots of cities already converted for MSFS. The problem in my view is that those conversions are usually not good and the performance is bad in general. We see lack of good lighting and good textures and reflection. And the more detailed the buildings are, the worst the performance. In your view, would…

I don't have CTD's, but once I get into final approach just about anywhere it's bigtime performance degradation despite showing ample GPU/CPU headroom. Even a nothing airport like KACV FPS drops kill performance and it's a worthless stutterfest necessitating shutting down the sim before landing. Not long ago I could fly anywhere, even over Washington DC and London w/ nearly all Ultra settings but it is so screwed now even dropping detail settings down doesn't seem to help. Just curious if ANYONE is not having this happen to them now after the recent world updates, today's hotfix notwithstanding. I saw this update, I went to so I went to store there was no update. I came again to the game, resartarted and then I picked my folders it told me I already have installed there, I then picked my my folder where I have installed my freewares. and linked and its installing there now.

Take off from Terre-de-Haut TFFS and land in Terre-de-Bas TFTE in the French Antillas, South of the Guadeloupe. It is a very short 3 nm flight, quite nice actually, with at both end a short runway (a dirt strip and some wretched coconut trees for the landing). I have been doing that with the MV Corsair this morning. Not easy but help you to feel better the aircraft.

Hi all. I’m struggling a bit with ice on some of my flights. As soon as ice starts to form on the windscreen, I never seem to be able to clear it. In the Piper Arrow, for instance, I put the blowers on full, and set the temperature as high as possible, but the glass never clears. I either have to fly around blind, or reduce my altitude. I’m not talking crazy altitudes flights either, as sometimes I can be around a 1000’ in the UK, with a temperature of 1 degree C on the deck. So only just below freezing at 1000’. Am I doing something wrong or is it a sim limitation, and the screen cannot be cleared?

Yes, I know - too global - but: I recently installed LSZS from Orbx and ENAT from Aerosoft. Both are predetermined destinations for winter operation, and yet the airport surfaces are mostly covered in snow. I know for sure that the airport operators will take any effort to clear at least the runways asap, so having everything covered in white is highly unrealistic. There are limitations in MSFS when it comes to snow coverage of surfaces, but it can be done, as I realized too late there's a freeware scenery for LSZS where the developer managed to implement realistic, mostly cleared surfaces. I can remember talk prior to MSFS release dooming companies like ORBX because there would no longer be a market for scenery add-ons. it seems that such add-ons are even more important now. The great default scenery of MSFS makes you crave for even more perfection. Besides, the recent photogrammetry releases in word updates have been so disappointing (in my view), the glaring exception being Japan, i prefer AI-generated cities with hand-made landmarks and custom-made lighting integrated within it. Or would the best solution be photogrammetry with such custom-made landmarks overlaid, as is currently being done by Asobo to some degree. Wonder what you think. …

After the small update today the Content Manager says there are 9 addon items that are not installed -- like the WT addons (CJ4, G1000, G3000), etc. But they are installed via the Addon Linker in that the shortcuts are in the Community Folder. 1. Could this be because the addons will make use of the AIRAC update in today's MSFS update, or what? I have not had this issue before. 2. Should I just go ahead and essentially "reinstall' these addons? 3. I've selected all the addons that supposedly need installing in the Content Manager. Is there a way to tell the system to install all those selected -- can't find how to do this. Or do I have to install them 1 by…

What do you think? Will the FPS number rise when they implement DirectX 12 to the sim?

I have eight 3rd party addons some aircraft and some airports. All of these are loaded into my community folder. They all show up in Content Manager but are tagged as uninstalled. I just took a flight in one of the planes (FlyingIron Spitfire) and it was working just fine. Maybe they have always shown as uninstalled, but if that's true I just noticed it. Is it like it should be or do I need to do something? Thanks

I'm wondering if anyone other than me have experience random CTDs with GTN-750 together with JF Arrow? After clearing out my community folder, it seems to be the GTN-750 that is causing random ctd's, they return as soon as I put it back, and they seem to be triggered when I change views inside the cockpit, I use the Basic Beta.

Hi, A few "lucky" folks suffer from recurrent CTDs, and I am one of them. 🥳 The worst is the 0xc0000005 whose cause remains unknown and which spoils the pleasure of using MSFS. I talked about it here. But there is another "variant", the 0xc0000409, aka ucrtbase.dll, which also affects a lot of people if we refer to the official MSFS forum. This problem occurs especially when using third party programs like FSUIPC, some joystick utilities, or even flight planners. Hi everyone,can somebody please give me the drivers for the throttle quadrant and rudder pedals 64bit Windows 10? I tried both over Logitech and saitek but it was impossible for me to download anything. I thought I would use my old Cyborg X joystick in MSFS mainly to use with the Airbus 135 helicopter addon (Normally use X56), but when I plugged the cyborg in and went into controls, it shows up as a Cyborg X, but no picture of it just a "?", and no pre-sets. So I setup the flight surface controls and throttle to the cyborg, but when going into the sim with the Cessna 172, the surfaces move very sluggish and nothing gets centred. It seems MSFS is treating the Cyborg as a digital not an analogue stick, but going into the sensitivity controls, all positions works fine and very smoothly. I am at a loss, any help would be very much appreciated.

My old Corsair headset has given up the ghost and I am browsing the net to find a new one. MSFS specs don't refer to anything special like THX or the like but the General panel>Sound line has the option quoted in the topic title. I understand that it is kind of faking a 7.1 environment. Not sure though. Never used it. Does that work and should I keep it mind when buying my new headset for the sim ?
