  1. Hi there, Starting today, the first version of our entirely custom fly-by-wire and autopilot systems, our custom LEAP 1A-26 engine FADEC performance model, and re-written PFD will be available in the development version. We’d like to remind our users that you have to calibrate your throttles via the EFB! The experimental version will not be updated for a few days while we let users transition to the development version. After this period the experimental version will welcome a new prototype feature: our custom LNAV and flight plan manager, based on the work from Working Title Simulations. That version will remain under the limited support policy of…

  2. Hi all, From flightsim.to I have downloaded many objects to enhance the scenery, Sometimes multiple objects are for the same town. Each of them have there own subfolders ( Contentinfo , scenery etc ) Can I make one folder with the name of the town and put the objects main folders into that one folder ? Or do Contentinfo, scenery etc have to be right away in the main object folder ? Thanks in advance.

  3. I am looking to take out the justflight piper arrow for a test flight but have no idea where to fly from and to. Could you guys share some of your favorite scenic flight routes? Trying to stay under 1 hour, and nothing more. I will be flying with the GTN 750 and would like to test out the ILS capabilities of it.

  4. Well, it's not exactly how I remember it in FSX, but still getting used to it. It's fun though!

Yup, three days of downloading MSFS again via Steam to a new computer, and only 10 GB away! I think I have had over 20 'Blue Screens Of Death' and computer reboots of maybe 30 or more times trying to download this sim. I am a determined, frustrated warrior, however I don't know if I can beat Microsoft. I was almost there yesterday with half a gig to go, and was disconnected from their server. Upon rejoining the server, it stated that I have to reload an additional 88 GB. UGH! :)

Not a political post, instead talking about directions. Is it just my imagination, or do the towers often seem to tell you to "fly left downwind" when they actually mean right and vice versa?

  8. Hi all, Just today I found out by starting at Rotterdam airport that the France-Benelux had not been installed. To be sure I checked Rotterdam city and no Erasmus bridge. When's the world update came out I got the message downloaded the 1 Gb update and then the large update was downloaded. I now have the France-Benelux installed by going to the News tab and choose the DL there. So now I want to check if I have the UK world update and the US update installed. Where can I check this ? In the Content Manager I see nothing ... Thanks for helping ....

I have been flying sims since mid 90s. I enjoy them immensely. And I purchased MSFS last September. Only have been able to get to it in the past week due to myriad reasons. After making sur everything was updated, I tried setting controls and spent 4 days in frustration trying to successfully complete a flight. Long story short finally did it today in the Cessna 172 from Williamsport PA to Wilkes Barre PA. What a sim! Almost everything on ultra with a 1080 TI 11G at 30FPS. I am thrilled! Still have some controls and assignments with my X55 to sort out and get away from using the keyboard. But I am on my way.

  11. Ok, full disclosure, I almost always fly in the US. So, with the new update I am thinking 'why not go look around a bit'. Well, I booted up at Manchester Airport just as a random selection. After I selected a gate I found myself at an area with no terminal or jetway near me. I am thinking, ok this is just a glitch. Restarted again and selected another gate - same result. Well, I don't worry about it and just begin to taxi and found myself at several dead end taxiways. So know I am thinking this airport is obviously busted in the sim. For fun I go and check out google maps and low and behold - this is correct?? taxiway network that makes no sense at all …

Here is the Alençon airport created by Christophe. The Alençon - Valframbert aerodrome is an aerodrome open to public air traffic, located in the municipalities of Cerisé and Valframbert, 2.5 km north-east of Alençon in the Orne region. It is used for the practice of leisure and tourism activities (light aviation). https://www.simvol.org/en/downloads/airports/alencon

I have downloaded the latest drivers from Honeycomb. I understand that you have to run the Bridge manually. The lights are working but the the Buttons/Dial do not respond on the A320? Is there a known issue?

  14. Only discovered this a couple of weeks ago thanks to a poster on AVSIM. Rob has worked wonders on the default Bonanza G36 and produced the ultimate boy racer machine 😉 His mod turns the default Bonanza from a toy into a proper aircraft. Love it. Doing a test flight right now from Biggin Hill to Manchester on YouTube if anyone fancies a peek. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lGAMrNF93Y Really fab aircraft - was about to uninstall MSFS until I installed this. Cheers CapMoore

  15. Hi all, I just purchased 2020 and am so excited about it. I played FSX a lot maybe 10 years ago and this is such an improvement. I have the older logitech attack 3 joystick, which looks a lot like the 3D without the yaw controls. I have tried to set it up in the control settings, and for some reason I can barely control the planes, it seems like there is a massive delay in response causing the aircraft to waver all over the horizon. Any tips to get this working, after almost 2 hours of messing around I am no closer to resolution. thanks

  16. Hi to all, I have newly returned to FS after over 20 years as I now have more time and managed to snag a decent desktop (Ryzen 5900, Radeon 6900, 64 GB ram) so decided to give it a serious go and also got a Honeycomb yoke, Thrustmaster TPR and Logitech throttle quadrant Installed FS deluxe and updated to WU IV. On the controls panel all the peripherals seem to be working ok so as I am so rusty I started the tutorials from scratch On the first turorial as soon as the instructor hands over the controls of the Cessna 172 the engine throttles down to out 500 rpm) and no ammount of moving the throttle lever or hitting F3 has any effect so the plane inexorably…

MS recently announced their new 103 Solo Ultralight. However, I pretty sure they pencilled it in for a release date of the 27th April. No sign of it in the Marketplace as of yet. Any news on the release? I’m really looking forward to extending my fleet, and this looks like a nice addition.

  18. Here is the scenario. I have a mountain spot I want to 'stand on' . Ie I want the drone camera to be placed at a point, so that when I fly away, the camera view retains that point in space. Ideally this is so I can fly an approach with a third party recorder, then go to that spot, in drone view/external camera and replay the flight. Stand there, and watch my plane fly in from distance, make an approach and land - all seen from a fixed point external to the plane. I don't see how to do this. Don't even know if it is possible. Cheers!

  19. ...the spinning circle indicator lower right screen? See this entry for how to do this: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/u/ZahiDhuubow You can also simply hit the 'clear' button to the right of the other buttons logged in the console. So besides getting rid of the spinning indicator I'm also back to totally smooth flights even in relatively complex airports like KLAS which I've not been able to do using Ultra settings that I could do previously but haven't been able to do reliably for weeks. Still too early to be sure but my hunch is this might also be contributing to restoration of prior performance/behavior, besides getting rid of the microstutter inducing fr…

  21. That is my advice after months of tweaking. Plain and simple, default, no tweaks to NCP. Not even changing optimzed to prefer maximum performance does anything!!! Many gaming articles mention that can hinder a computer. My FS2020 just runs the smoothest and less stuttery than ever on default... it is noticable. Now I am on a ASUS ROG 703 Chimera laptop if that is any help, but I can run on ULTRA no issues on default FS2020 aircraft and scenery at 30-50 FPS. I always have. But it is an i9 beast for a laptop....

  23. Had a flight earlier, in the PA28, from Oxford to Southend. At least that was the plan. In reality, I was unable to complete it as performance got so bad. As I approached London the sim started doing the micro-pause thing. Then it steadily got worse until it was pausing about every half a second. The thing is, I was probably a good 15 miles away from London, so it’s not like I could pin the blame on photogrammetry or anything. These pauses weren’t the usual jitters, but a proper stopping of the scenery. It felt like I should be repeatedly banging my nose on the windscreen as it jolted to a halt. I haven’t made any changes to the settings, I don’t try to push crazy-hi…

Hello, Health and time allowing, I would love to team up with someone to produce a high quality glider, with a decent yaw string, proper adverse yaw and a well crafted model and excellent interior which together evoke an immersive and atmospheric gliding experience. FS2020 has some wonderful landscapes for gliding heaven except for the missing thermals but they will no doubt emerge in the future. There is already some ridge lift. If anyone feels they have the 3d modelling skills and is interested, please send me a message and we can discuss the possibility. Thank you. Robert
