Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi, Since i've installed WU IV, my sim does not connect to the server. I saw that when i start the sim, it never proposes to update with the last hotfix. My gamertag is green, but when i click on it, i have an animated arrow on the server and it never will connect. I have marketplace greyed and cannot download manual data cache. So, in other words, my sim is in a poor state and cannot update. I've invastigated a few hours and cannot find a solution. Live server does not connect and I've tried all i found about Terdo tunneling and so on, my firewall allows Teredo, my router doesn't block any port. I have a combined setup for racing and flightsim. I use my Z twist axis of my X52 Pro for rudder control but for the new helicopters esp the new Bell that is very difficult: constant twisting while fine using the stick is almost contradictory. So I setup my Fanatec pedals as separate L and R rudder control. But that results in strange switching of the pedals, impossible to fly. It is because they use complete range from 0 - 100 depression L to R, instead of L pedal from L to halfway and then R pedal from halfway to R. Does anyone has tips to set this up?

Just wondering if it's still necessary to restart the sim after updating a traffic.bgl file, or is there now some way in which these can be reloaded (after being externally modified) whilst still in the sim ? Regards

Asobo states that their new microlight ac retails for $9.99. But in the UK the price is £13.74. This is applying the exchange rate in the wrong direction. If applied in the correct way the UK price should be £7.14. Or conversely, if the correct price is actually £13.74 then the equivalent US price in dollars should be $19.23. Hopefully this is an honest mistake rather than Asobo trying to rip off its UK customers

Hello there, I'm hoping somebody can help me. I've been trying to use the Arrow for VOR flights, and I've been following the manual's tutorial flight. I tune the correct VOR frequency, and the DMS responds, but the nav flag won't go from the HSI. I've tried varius VORs at various ranges and altitudes. The nav flag just stays and the instrument doesn't work. Have I missed something?

Good evening, I was just looking for a bit of help. I flew over Stonehenge last night and saw the ring on the ground but nothing 3D was loading. I had flown over some other POI's ( Balmoral, Holyrood etc.) and nothing was represented except the map picture 2D. I checked my data setting (unlimited), photogrammetry is on and so on, graphics are set to maximum. I went as far as fully deleting MSFS and reinstalling but I have the same issue tonight. Is there a direction anyone can point me to? Thanks in advance.

Hello all, I was hoping somebody could help me. I've been flying the JustFlight Arrow for many hours now to complete all of the PilotEdge ratings. I've done a lot of research and understood many of these things myself, but I have one area of uncertainty. Using the GNS530 mod, what is the procedure to fly an rnav approach? The aircraft has no altitude/vnav autopilot so typically my approaches until now have been: 1: fly GPS to final waypoint prior to arrival airport 2: ATC provide vectors to intercept the localiser 3: handfly the ILS approach once the GS comes alive. Sim isn't even usable. Takes over a minute to select a plane. The Earth map is delayed by about 25 seconds too. The mouse is also very slow and delayed. Anyone else?

Does anyone know of a tool similar to xorganizer or scenery config editor for msfs 2020 that can be used to disable addon scenery? Not seeing anything at first glance as of yet? Thanks in advance

Just had a very nice flight. No immersion breakers, no stutters and frames maintained. The real weather was 'orrible so I went with a "few clouds". Took off from Courchevel LFLJ in a stock C172 and navigated down the valleys to Grenoble and then arrived at LFHE, a grass strip called Saint Paul. It took about 35 minutes which is an ideal length of time for me. If I sit down for any longer than that my wife starts making unreasonable demands. For me there are some areas that really let this sim down but there are plenty of other places that fly like a dream. Everyone cheers on the TBM, X-Cub etc and the modded versions of GA planes but this little guy has been on point as a solid GA aircraft from day one. The flight dynamics are awesome, the avionics are beyond what you would expect for such a little plane and yet. It's barely spoken of or addressed in any sort of meaningful way. I've yet to find a single custom livery on any site for it. This plane is severely underrated and and ignored and I can't figure out why. It's literally the perfect low and slow GA aircraft yet no one wants to talk about it, mod it, do a paint kit, nothing. It's strange.. Any feedback from anyone?

I asked months ago when FSUIPC was being offered for free, as to if you could take the default view change assignments in MSFS (Alt plus a number, for example Alt-1, Alt-2 etc, programmable by Ctrl-Alt-a number), but at that time it wasn't working to be able to use FSUIPC's buttons tab to let you set up those to available controller buttons. Now there is something to say about having your big temperamental radial (did I say Corsair ?) finds her way in an unstable monsoon weather, keeping up manually your altitude and heading with a compass 😄. Is it possible to see a list of the landmarks per country that exist in the default MSFS ? Myself I like to download cities/landmarks from flightsim.to and objects that already exist in the default MSFS might be not needed.

Now, the sim crushes to desktop every time after running for 5 to 10 min. Tried removing everything from the Community folder. It did not help. Will there be any 'hot fix' of the latest hotfix coming out soon?

Thought you boys may enjoy this slight mishap in my flying schedule.. I tried importing one of my favourite FSX add-ons - the MB-326. I used the Legacy Importer thing. All was fine until I attempted to take-off. And land. And at the end enjoy my first ground-loop in a tricycle undercarriage aircraft. It was not deliberate. Oh well back to the drawing-board! So one of the benefits of MSFS over the competing flight simulators is that we get satellite & photogrammetry data all streamed to MSFS in real time, no matter which location you choose in the world, for free. If you purchased the $60 USD standard version for MSFS, you haven't had to pay an extra cent for the satellite & photogrammetry data service over the last 8 months. It is clear the developers spent all their time on scenery and not enough time on air traffic control. I used MFS X for a long time and that ATC module was horrific, but the ATC module for MFS 2000 is even worse! I fly everything IFR on flight plans developed by professional flight planning/airline dispatching software. I have to transfer them into MFS 2000, which takes a while, and then I can go off and fly the route. The whole package is really nice and I like it better than MFS X, but when it comes to ATC I have to say I am totally disappointed. Hi all, I've now encountered this problem twice -- first by happenstance, and second when I tried to replicate conditions, and it happened exactly again the same way. I have the following system: i7 8700K 3.7GHz GTX 1080 Ti 11GB GDDR5 X32GB DDR4-3200 RAM Running on an LG 32" monitor at 1440p Not exactly cutting edge, but no slouch either. I've been able to run MSFS decently well on a mix of high and ultra settings at 1440p. Since the last update ATC has become a lot less useful, and immersive. I tend only to fly simple GA flights, with a basic A-B route. However, lately the whole thing has changed for the worse. If I did a “cold and dark”, which is my preference, previously my automatic comms would crackle into life and contact ATC with request taxi to runway X, hold short, request take off etc, and the banter would all happen as expected. Apart from dubious runway/wind choices, but that’s a whole other topic. HI, After the last update (IV) I have 11 'Not Installed' in my content manager these are all my ORBX addons, according to ORBX they are all installed, But I have re-installed them to maske sure, not had this problem previously does anyone have any ideas please. Thank you

Does anyone know how to set OBI 1 in the 747 to do VOR navigation? It's possible to set the frequencies, and OBI 2 will give an arrow the points to the VOR tuned, but I don't see how to set up OBI 1.
