Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am flying the new exp version and noticed 1. the screens look very shiny: there seems to be a new reflection added to it (or however you call it)? It's nice but maybe a bit too much. I can see a sky reflected which I shoulnd't be able to see at all. Not sure if I like this. But my main problem right now is that 2. the white on the PFD and MFD etc. looks pink...! Anyone else noticed this? Looks rather awful. EDIT I also notice all screens (including the MCDU) react rather severely on the what I'd call HDR effect where they get brighter or more dim depending on the light on screen (don't know how else to put it: bloom perhaps?). Store version. Yes I've updated the XBox app, and the store, and the sim downloaded a bunch of data (318 of 318 packages it said). I now have WU8 splash screens of Lisbon etc. but when I go into Content Manager, I cannot find WU8 listed anywhere. When I go into the sim at Lisbon, it's not the WU8 Lisbon. Shouldn't WU8 appear in Content Manager? What am I doing wrong?

I believe the CRJ has no autothrottle capability so my question is: how easily can one leave this plane in autopilot w/o bad things happening during flight due to speed changes? The Majestic Q400 was steady enough to get away with this , being able to leave the cockpit for 15 minutes w/o fear of losing control. Is the CRJ similar? Thanks!

I've been going through my installation to remove unwanted liveries (less for loading time speed or drive space, more for simply removing what I won't use), but some don't seem to have the option to remove them unless I'm doing something wrong. Option 1: I go into Content Manager and type in what aircraft I am looking for (e.g. "Airbus" or "C152") and scroll down to what I want to delete in order to select it. Sometime I will click on the box to the right of an aircraft and the liveries are shown. But many aircraft only have the Information box in that position, so I can't show any of its liveries. Hi everybody, I'm new, and I hope I'm in the correct section... In any case, I'm having a lot of problems with the Working Title G3000. First of all, each time I modify the flight plan directly in the MFD, the map freezes for the rest of the flight. The solution to zoom in or out is just temporary... Second, if i want the G3000 to calculate the TOD, I need to insert the last altitude, but if there are no approaches or arrivals, like on BGGH, I'm not able to insert the airport altitude. Where I'm mistaken...? Moreover always near BGGH there are some NDB with just 2 letters code, like GH freq 314, how do I insert it in the flight plan??? Thank…

I thought I have seen somewhere that you can put the PFD or ND on a table or an iPhone. Can someone let me know what is needed to do this? I am guessing it is some sort of software. Also, can the EFB be represented on an iPad? I know the MCDU can but I wasn't sure about the EFB. Thanks!

Hi, Since WU8 the changes in General Options are not saving, whatever I change. I can choose every option in the menu, but when I leave MSFS they return to the old settings. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it an update error? How can I revert it? Thank you in advance.

Hi there, I just opened a Zendesk Ticket, but when I opened it, it showed as solved and closed. Strange, so I thought I ask here if someone sees the same. I wondered in my last flights with planes using the GNS530 that ILS frequencies did not show up on the WPT/FREQ page, just COM frequencies for the Airports I tried to land. To name a few: EDNY, EDJA, LSZR. So I switched to Little Nav Map and in the Information tabs in LNM it also showed "ILS data not found". But looking at the Map in LNM, I can see the green ILS markers and the frequencies. I can also punch in the numbers into the GNS and it works. Since my LNM Database consists 100% only out of MSFS…

Hi all, I have noticed recently that all the AI aircraft seem to have oversized lights, which can be seen from miles away. At a distance I can see large green or red blobs, which is unrealistic. Are there any mods to improve the lights like there used to be with FS9?

Hello, I asked this same question about six months ago and got no answers. I still have hope. I have a Steam install of FS2020 and it's very broken. The Microsoft part seems out of my machine except for just enough to think it's still in my machine. I uninstall it on Steam, try again, Steam loads the first part, and then I get an MS screen that says "Let's get you signed in" and it locks there every time. I would remove the sim from my Steam library and buy it again except I'm sure it would still just lock up, thinking it's in my PC even though it isn't. I just want to fill up some airports with more parking aircrafts. In MSFS, "Use Generic Plane Models (AI)" is OFF. When "Ground Aircraft Density" is on Zero, some airports are barely populated with AIG a/c, but If I increase that slider, AIG models and MSFS models show up. How can I get rid of the ugly yellow-greyish MSFS models in favor of AIG models? Edit: Would it help to delete the MSFS default A320?

With the condition lever in Low Idle, prop lever full forward, and the throttle at Idle, about what should the torque value be? I get a value of about 170. And same question as above but with the condition lever at the High Idle mark. I get a value of about 196. With the condition lever ALL the way forward I get a value of about 291. For takeoff and in flight, should the condition lever be at the High Idle setting, or all the way forward? Thanks, Al

Normally 0-9 is bind on my end along with default ALT+0-9. 0-9 alone is corrupted. Any suggestiond? Thanks Michael Moe

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before as a MSFS bug, or a FBW bug, but lately when flying during the day, the colors on the flight deck in captain view are really dark, and it gets lighter as you look down toward the thrust lever, mcdu, etc. Is this a known issue ?

Hi! I've had this 4K monitor for a few months and after being at 1080p, I was righteously blown away. Only until now did I think to get some help on some other settings that I should pair with it's specs. My main question is - since its 60hz, should I lock frame rates at 60FPS? Do I turn VSync on or off? I am experiencing stutters on a high end system (i7 11700K, 32GB Corsair DDR4 SDRAM 3200MHz, 10GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, GDDR6X) even with dialing down some settings to high, instead of ultra, I'm still getting stutters.
