Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

After installing the latest MSFS update I have a TrackIR weirdo. The Trackir device is missing from the controls page. The Buttons on my Stick as programmed on my trusty Thrusty Warthog stick still operate the indicator lights on my Trackir device. However, there is no viewpoint movement on the screen. So I seek advice on how to put the Trackir device back on the Controls list. IIRC it had to take no action previously to cause the TrackIR to appear in the MSFS controls list. From memory the TrackIR appeared as a control in the Control list without any intervention from myself.

I've just discoved overflying Lisbon that my MSFS is updated at the latest version (1.24.5.0) but Spain/Portugal update is not present on my system. Lisbon, for example, is not photogrammery (with photogrammery ON) and in my Content Manager there isn't any Spain-Portugal update... Any idea? What I've to do? Thanks Stefano

Not sure what happened but after the upgrade almost everything that was installed, including ALL the default ASOBO stuff, is now waiting to be installed in content manager. Fortunately this is exactly what I wanted as I was in the process of removing alot of default planes etcetera. I only needed to install the few items I wanted so only have 13 installed now instead of 328. Another case of a bad becoming a good. Edit: I vaguely remember clicking somewhere in the CM that may have reset the install folder.

I am using the Steam version of MSFS Premium deluxe and I cant get the update to work I get stuck while downloading fs-base-1.21.fspatch.002 . It gets to 100% And then reverts to fs-base-0.1.205.package.001 This keeps repeating over and over. Now before World Update 8, a re-install has always cured this problem but now with this latest update even a re-install is not helping. I am at a loss as to what to try next and need any help I can get. Does anyone know what causes this problem and how to properly solve it?

Is it just me? Everytime, I go to an airport in the North, there is snow covering and hiding all of the paved surfaces. Is there a solution when using live weather?

Hi all, want to know if there is anything else I need to do on the Citation Longitude when using the AP in approach Mode. I was landing KSAN runway 9 ILS and saw the glide icons show up. Centered both then pressed the approach button, with the autopilot on and in nav mode. Also make sure the radio was set to nav instead of GPS. However noticed their aircraft was not following the markers and I had to manually adjust the plane and basically landed the plane completely manual. Does anybody know what else I need to do so the plane will follow the markers automatically to the runway? Also using the Longitude FDE enhancement

The new visualizations are cool, but they aren't easy to enable. In fact, some very interesting visualization tools have been there all along if you knew where to look. BTW - I'm not sure Asobo realizes that 99.9% of their users are hardcore nerds, and we are ALL interested in these tools - not just aircraft developers. Anyone ever notice this where you move the CDI or HDG knobs and they will only move in increments of ten? From what I've observed, this only happens in the first part of the flight and later on, the problem goes away. I remember having the same issue with FSX, but I can't remember how it was resolved.

Im just curios to know how many people use rolling chache in MSFS 2020, and if there is actually a benefit to using it seems to be a grey area this one.

Here is the scenery of the Marais de Brière created by Emmanuel Richer. The Marais de Brière is located in France, north side of the Loire River estuary. It's a wild flat place composed of water pastures and reeds. The marsh disappears in MSFS2020 under a totally unreal large forest. Emmanuel offers a more realistic version of this space quickly visible after take-off from La Baule Escoublac. Are there a community folder on the X-box version of MSFS? Most of the files on ie. Flightsim.to, has to be placed in the community folder, but if there isn't one, does that mean that none of the addons on Flightsim.to can be used on X-box? I understand that the FBW A320 can't be used on X-box, is that correct?

I'm not sure but both of my screens are black when I load up the plane. I do have WT mods installed and the PMS GTN 750, not sure if any of those has anything to do with it?

Another "is it just me" question. I've noticed that a number of VOR stations I could pick up from a good distance in previous versions, in MSFS in have to be very close. For example, the YOW VOR is the one nearest me, freq 114.60. I used to be able to get it almost 200nm away, now I sometimes can't get it much further than 20 - 40 nm out.
