I use a couple of filters with MSFS but there is one thing that bugs me - some settings can only be set in big increments. For example, in the colour filter there is a setting for temperature. By default it is set at 0.5. Moving the slider left does nothing until the setting jumps to -11.6! anybody know how to set it to numbers between 0 and -11.6? I find 0.5 too warm but -11.6 too cold - I would like to try numbers like 2,5 etc.

I wish to fly this beautiful sim, but from yesterday it stops at the spanish screen with a endless turning wheel. I tried to with an empty Community folder, and sometimes the sim starts, but after that the infamous endless looping wheel was back again. The only way is to end the task from the task manager, but when I restart the sim it asks me to reconfigure all the settings. And this happens again and again. It happens just to me?

I took a two month hiatus from MSFS and recently returned first by doing some plane-spotting in my home airport of KBNA. Using default live traffic with AIG liveries, I was pleasantly surprised. What I noticed: Seemed to populate with a good number of planes in the area. Not one-to-one like PSXT, certainly, but more than I was used to seeing and certainly good in number. Saw departing traffic leaving the gates and taxing to the runway (I understand this was fixed in one of the recent updates) Departing traffic was using correct runways for departure Of course, it wasn't perfect. Cons: Saw the occasional arriving aircraft land and sit there …

Hey so like is anyone else seeing these huge bogus negative max payload numbers in the payload menu? Happens with a bunch of aircraft and (I think) ever since that last sim update (or two). Makes life with NeoFly kind of aggravating.... like, what gives, man? 'Cause the only aircraft that could have a negative payload like that might be the Graf Zeppelin, and that didn't really pan out so well...

https://flyingironsimulations.com/collections/microsoft-flight-simulator/products/p-38l-lightning-for-microsoft-flight-simulator Looks like an awesome plane from the pictures but I'm not sure about the price. I don't mind paying this much for a quality plane but I'm just not sure about FlyingIron Simulations. is it a good developer? I'd hate to drop $45.00 and be disappointed but I'm tired of all the GA's available, I need something faster!

Anyone else get erroneous overstress crashes during rotation in MSFS? It just happened to me for the third time in a few months (I fly maybe twice a month) and it has me scratching my head. Today I was piloting the FBW A320 Experimental out of KSAN and right around 5+ degrees nose up during rotation the flight ended. I suppose I could just turn off crash detection, but civil simulators are already so forgiving that for me it would remove any feeling of accomplishment at all if there were no risk of failure. Trying to see if anyone else has had this bug and found a neat fix or cause. Obligatory Disclaimer: These are not tail strikes. Those result in: "you collide…

I've been on the fence on this because I do want a regional jet but then reading their forum about multiple significant bugs has left me less than enthusiastic about parting w/ the $50 for it, at this point in time. Can't tell whether these issues are operator error, or real, etc. Apparently it's not been updated since 11/30/21, but the dev says they have not abandoned it. Perhaps their hamstrung w/ the SDK to solving these issues. Please chime in if you will about your experience with it if you own it. Thanks in advance

Is it just on my system or do others see the same? I flew into Kalamazoo/Battle Creek just now, and the runway lights float about 150' above the terrain.

I recently went for a scenic flight in a Cessna 172 and sat in the front' right seat. As we slowly taxied along the runway to take off I could see the spinning propeller through the windshield somewhat similar to what it looks like in Flight Sim. However, once the throttle was advanced to takeoff speed and then at cruise only a faint arc from the outer edge of the blades could be detected and the main prop was practically invisible. In Flight Sim the spinning prop appears visible and unrealistic when the throttle is advanced to full. In the Flight Sim 152 and 172 the graphic changes very little from taxi through takeoff when it should be at full throttle and cha…

Here is the Banon altisurface created by Magnetic333. The Banon altisurface is a private land at more than 1000 meters managed by a farmer passionate about aviation where you can spend the night in a cabin. There are some good aircraft otw so I’m getting ready to move over. Guess I’ll need to buy a weather engine and some airports. How about mesh and other scenery addons?

The developer has been issuing sparse updates, answering requests from curious simmers who want to know more about the development progress. On the latest video update, a lengthy one and a half hour stream, Aleksei, the main developer, takes us through a tour of the Tu-134, showing his creation in great detail. The cockpit window is now fully animated, and we can also see the rain effects on the windshield. The developer is looking for high levels of realism here, both on the visual side and with the simulation complexity. Full start-up and shutdown procedures are possible, and every twitch and knob is functional, with their respective sounds. https://www.youtub…

World Updates are like the Moon Landing in that, once you finally get there, the view is spectacular. All the work is worth it. But in order to get there, you have to overcome unimaginably complicated technical issues. Today, with World Update 8, I started up MSFS. Then, I was sent to update the XBOX app, which, in turn, then updated a small number of files in MSFS. Then, after restarting MSFS, I was prompted to download additional files (but not a World Update). I was told by helpful members of this forum to then go to Content Manager, where updates were available to the first seven World Updates (but not World Update 8). World Update 8 was not listed among the available…

This is definitely going to be a ticket, but just curious if anyone had any issues here. I updated to the latest version just fine, went to the content manager, updated everything as normal and shut the sim off as I didn't have the time to fly until today. Now every time I fire up the sim, I get CTD at the same progress spot every time, safe mode or not, Community folder empty or not. If you look at the screen below, the menu titles are abnormal here, wonder if it's related? Pretty bummed about this, I wish there was a roll back option that would allow you to go back to the last working configuration. Sigh.

I selected my departure from the World Menu. Clicked Fly. Blue line gets about 3/4 across then slows to a crawl. After ten minutes reaches one inch from the screen side. Then nothing. Came back after an hour or so and it still was stopped. Esc key or mouse doesn't do anything. Have to use Task Manager to close. Tried a Discovery flight over the pyramids. Same thing. Wouldn't complete the loading. So I uninstalled sim, then reinstalled. After four hours of installation, I tried again. Same thing. Plus my Community Folder is now empty and 63 files are uninstalled in the Content Manager. Tried to install the US World Update in the Content Manager, thi…

I did a search and didn't see a dedicated topic on this, although I think saw just a few people mention it another post. As the title suggests, after this update, I'm getting small popcorn clouds, peppered throughout the sky when conditions should be clear. They look pretty silly. Are a lot of other people seeing this?

Hello, New computer arriving today (hopefully). I'm not reusing any of the bits from the old one so I wondered if it could be used for anything? It's an i7 6700K, 32gb with a 980Ti. I could just try and sell it but unsure how much that would command. The other option is I keep it, but would it actually be useful for anything MSFS related in the future? I'm aware I could run vPilot on it but that seems slightly overkill. Is there anything in the pipeline that might benefit me holding on to it? Many thanks

Hi all, I am happy to share my preview of the Wing42 Boeing 247D. In the half hour I cover a very short flight from start to finish - everything from load-in, startup, takeoff, landing, and night lighting showcase. This is on my brand new YouTube channel, so I hope you enjoy the preview. It's not meant to dive into the very detailed systems that are fully simulated - no failure coverage here, no radio navigation - those are separate topics to be covered at a later date. This is simply meant to give you a general overview of the experience. Please keep in mind that this is work in progress and things are subject to change prior to release! Cheers! Wing42 …

I recently downloaded AIGs AI Manager for my sim but i noticed that AI traffic doesn't show up at all in the air and only on the ground parked. Is this a bug that Asobo still hasn't fixed or is there still a way to fix this issue.
