Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Updated PMDG 737-800 to 3.0.105 and took her for a flight. All going ok until I started the descent then the panel froze! This used to happen on final approach, but now it's happening much earlier in the flight. Aircraft is still flying, but can't do anything with the panel - just as before. It's broken again!! Paul

After almost 1 week I am still "struggling" to find my way across the Control Settings menus 😕 I think I have reached a good way, but there are still remains from previous trials & errors and each time I chance aircraft sometimes it inherits some profiles I defined before and remembered to make global ( All Airplanes )... It would be great to have a RESET ALL PROFILES button that would allow us to revert to the initial default settings ! Idea is to set, for GLOBAL, Aircraft and Specific, profiles that should be replicated to all airplanes and have their names ending with the designator of the corresponding controller being defined. Hello, can someone tell me what do I have to disable in MSFS2024 to get "empty" airports? Before I connect to VATSIM, I believe I should have no aircraft on the stands, otherwise I am facing double-occpupied-stands. Or are there some recommendations how to best set up the sim for VATSIM? I am also using FSLTL models, but without Injection right now. Thanks

I am noticing today that FS 2020 is also slow and stuttery + the scenery looks like P3d era and I have never seen this in a long time. I assume FS 2024 servers are using FS2020. This is unacceptable if that's the case. FS2024 needs to be Offline like FS2020. Making it completely on a cloud is ridiculous. A lot of Dev's are pleading with them to go Offline a well. Bluebird Developer just posted a video asking for the same thing. If Asobo is pulling the Apple move (slowing down the previous version so people will switch to new one) than, I have no words for this

I just took the iniBuilds A330 up for a spin and for a default aircraft its pretty nicely done. However I find it a bit of a let down that the PW engine was not modeled for it. Not sure why they were done but hopefully we will see them in the future.

Just downloaded the enhanced version. Performance is smooth but the cabin window seats are awfully positioned. Btw, how do you set a key assignment for the red button on the Yoke to disengage AP? I still cant figure it out. Also, is it possible to set a key assignment for disengaging the Autothrottle too? Thanks.

Is there a way to remove all assignments / bindings at once or do you need to do it 1 by 1? I have a bunch of hardware that I want to clear all and only assign what I want to assign. It seems like everything that came default with the sim isn't what I want but I can't seem to clear them to start over. Is this possible? For example I have a stick that I only use as a tiller. However, the default sim has a ton assigned to it (engines, pitch, roll, yaw, etc.) and I don't want to remove them one by one. Is there a way to clear / delete all?

Something certainly has changed - fired up 24 just now and loaded in less than 3.5 minutes where up until now it was taking me 15min - faster than 2020. Whatever has changed, thanks ASOBO/MS 👍

Hey all, I had a quick flight in the updated A319 from Luton to Brussels. All was going perfectly normally until the last phase of the flight. Just after sunset getting vectored into 25R by BATC I suddenly noticed that both left and right PFDs were showing the aircraft in a descending turn at 2800 feet or so. This was after a second or two earlier when I was just passing through 4000 descending to 3000. On popping outside briefly I saw that the aircraft was not in a descending turn at all. I disengaged the AP but it was no good engines didn’t spool up and I eventually just fell out of the sky. That’s never happened before! No obvious faults, no signs…

Hi All, I have installed MSFS 2024 on my D drive (same as MSFS 2020). I am trying to take control of the EXE, but Windows tells me that I don't have permission and to contact the administrator. The thing is, I am the administrator. I can't even get MSFS 2024 imported into the Nvidia control panel. I remember having a similar situation with MSFS 2020. I don't remember how I resolved it. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Okay, so I had a taste of MSFS2044. Started with settings at Medium and now set a few at High. And it's crystal clear now: I need a new PC for MSFS204 and I WANT a new PC for MSFS2024! It's awesome and the future! I love every part of it! The interface, the options, it's all (going to be) great! So coming december or january I will be shopping for a new PC. Yihaaaa! Can't wait to unleash the power of MSFS2024! I'll probably wait for the nVidia 5000 series... but that's a topic for the hardware forum. Anyone else here who (already) decided to get a new PC because MSFS2024 is too good to use it on mediocre hardware?

TLOD 150 - Though increasing it improves nothing Texture Res - High Anisotropic Filtering - 16X Texture supersampling - 8X Running on a 150mb download line. (I'm in the UK at the moment, not South Africa) Is this a problem at their end? Because these mountains remind me of FS98.

I've read a couple of reports recently about guys who have lost all their settings and config files. That can be a real PITA!

I have been enjoying career mode these last 3 days but even when asigning a hotkey to disable visual assistance I have been unable to remove all those blue squares and arrows that break inmersion. Has anyone experienced the same? Edit: sorry, found the culprit, there are 2 hotkey assigments with similar names /functions for visual assitance and I assigned the wrong one.

Yes, there are trains in MSFS2024. I saw two of them today.

I had the 2024 controls working, the community addons loading, was flying with nice scenery at 40 FPS. I did a normal end flight, main menu, quit to desktop. Got a Flight Sim error - close program message while it was shutting down. Restarted 2024 sim and everything was good - flew fine, etc. Shut down normally thru the quit to desktop button and the mouse was returned to a normal desktop. No error message BUT Steam showed the sim had not ended and Task Manager showed a Flightsim2024 process with memory allocated but using no other resources. I finally bit the bullet and bought 2024. I am in the process of getting it set up and was hoping someone can answer a few questions. I have gotten Fenix in the sim as well as a few 2020 payware addons and so far so good. However, I was hoping someone can help answer the following: - How do you turn off the blue highlights / verbal info when putting the mouse over a switch in the cockpit? I can't seem to get it off no matter what i pick in assistance settings (also, even a dumber question but in the settings, does the blue box on the left mean on and the checkmark to the right means off, or vice versa?) - Is there a way to port control settings (yoke, pedals…

I use to use CTRL and Number pad to set different cockpit views. Doesn't work in FS2024. Can someone tell me how it's done in FS2024? Also I use to assign button 3 on my Honeycomb yoke to toggle cockpit/external views Can't do it in FS2024. Thank You Bill McCracken

Every day is another day performance wise.. It's driving me nuts. Monday EHRD with the Fenix 320/Inibuild 320N parked I have stable 60FPS no stutter what so ever. Tuesday same scenario it's a mess. Stutter and stutter. FPS down to 15 FPS with every change of view. Wednesday same scenario..... etc. So it seems here in the Netherlands you never now if today MSFS 2024 will be playable or not. Or is this only happening to me ? MSFS 2020 is so smooth
