What do you folks think would be the best 787 (payware or freeware) for FS2020? Generally I am thinking systems depth vs. 787 type (8,9,10). I am currently a Fenix A320 user. Thanks

Hello Gang! I see the Nvidia app provides recommendations for optimization for MSFS2024. Is it safe to optimize via the Nvidia App or leave things alone? Thanks for any input.

A question on initiating the descent phase...never had this situation before and have done quite a few flights. As the A/C was approaching the TOD, I changed the ALT from 34000' to 10000' and as always pushed the ALT button to initiate the descent. The A/C started descending with mode OP DES (per the FMA) but the flight's phase did not change from CRZ to DES (PERF page), the VS window displayed a descent rate of -1700, Thrust Mode was THR/IDLE and in the scratchpad message "NEW CRZ ALT 10000" displayed in white font. It appeared as if the A/C was adhering to the planned Roll Mode (NAV in the FMA) but was ignoring the planned descent profile. Can anyone shed any light …

MSFS2020 is a mess for me after the latest update. My controllers only work in external view and not cockpit view. Anyone heard of this and have a solution on how to fix it?

I flew the Honda Jet from KSJC (San Jose) to Santa Barbara (KSBA) with FPS > 50 all the way to the Initial Fix on the ILS 07 approach. At that point the FPS suddenly dropped to the low 20s. During the landing on Rwy 7 the FPS stayed below 20 FPS. I parked at the GA ramp and took a screen shot with detailed performance data shown. I shut down the simulator and then restarted it with the Honda Jet parked at the same KSBA ramp. All the sim settings remained exactly as they were at the time I parked in the prior session with an FPS of 24. But, after restarting the sim - the FPS was 46. My impression of MS 2024 textures and pretty much everything in the sim is that they appear to be overly bright, like there’s a massive light bulb just outside the camera’s view. Does anyone know of a way to mitigate this effect?

Since SU1 i noticed that on some objects I'm missing the correct colors making these objects pink. Below is screenshot of the MAS museum in Antwerp. It's part of the main sim so not any add-on. In MS2024 since SU1: Certainly the glass textures are missing... Realilty: Is there a possibility to correct that? Setting OLOD (or TLOD) to the max doesn't change anything.

I have an RTX 4090 and an HDR 10 capable monitor (Alienware AW3821DW) and I had been using HDR in MSFS 2020 by toggling HDR 10 on in the graphic options. I recently got the Nvidia App, and I noticed a new RTX HDR option. I tried it, and all I can say is WOW. I believe it is much better than using the HDR 10 option in MSFS. If you want to try it: Install the Nvidia App. Turn ON HDR in windows. Launch MSFS and turn OFF HDR 10 in the graphics options. Save settings and quit MSFS. Turn ON RTX HDR for MSFS in the Nvidia App. Launch MSFS and double check that HDR 10 is still OFF in MSFS. Press ALT + Z and toggle ON RTX HDR. Co…

Now that asobo has fixed some of the initial bugs, I am pleased to report that one of my favorite planes, the BlackSquare A36, with a TDS GTN in the panel, and custom C-BERT registration works as well as it ever did in 2020. I copied the asobo g36 from the 2020 Official folder to the new 2024 "Official2020\OneStore" folder, and for good measure used my Addons Linker to activate the BSQ A36 as well as my Rob Young Turbo mods into the 2024 Community folder.. Finally Prosim (cockpit suite) and Wideview are compatible with MSFS 2024. So I am going to install MSFS on both view pc’s today. My question : do you have any tips/advices on how to set it up to / configure it to have a stable base ? What settings add stability ? What settings are to avoid ? Today I updated to 572.70 and decided to also install the nvidia app. I don't usually install the app, but I want to try RTX HDR. Now I cannot save any settings in nvidia profile inspector - I get an "unhandled exception" error message. Apparently there's a workaround (I haven't tried this myself) - but this messes up nvidia control panel. Users have reported that making changes under manage 3D settings results in an "access denied" error. Has anyone been able to resolve this? My first troubleshooting step is going to be to DDU-remove the nvidia app and the current driver, then reinstall the driver without the app. Mods: This is relevant to both MSF…

I have just posted the following on the official MS forum. Anybody else had the same experience? In the past, whenever I bought anything via the Marketplace it would be put in the Official folder, and I would then move it out into my own addons folder environment and manage it via the Addons Linker. This time, I grabbed a couple of bargain basement Brazilian airports and nothing has actually shown up in the 2020 official folder, but instead seems to be being streamed now? Since SU1 I noticed that after I selected an aircraft in the menu system and located this aircraft at an airport, as soon as I hit "Fly" Little Navmap displays a lot of AI aircraft at airports in the vicinity. I made sure that all AI aircraft settings in both FS2024 and LNM are disabled, but apparently I must have been overlooking a setting. Can any of you please help me in getting rid of these AI Aircraft? My attempt to insert a screenshot here failed as well 🙂 Thanks a lot.

With the NVidia app installed, 2024 will not load. I decided to use DDU to do a clean install of drivers and the NVidia app. DDU warned me to start in safe mode. I didn’t know how to do that so I watched a YouTube video to press the shift key while pressing the power button/restart. i did that but my pc doesn’t start. I don’t even see the bios starting up! Anybody can offer advice?

Can't get any fps counter working with MSFS Nvidia works with opening screen but after starting flight just shows FPS N/A Game bar xbox same problem anyone?

I purchased this from the Marketplace, I start it up and the stupid thing doesn't have the TDS in it, then I go to look for some kind of documentation about what to do, and their so-called manual has some cryptic one-liner. There is supposed to be some difference if you purchased from them?? I emailed support and have heard nothing yet, I was hoping maybe someone here had gone thru this and can tell me what I need to do. Of course it has a tablet that also doesn't work. I'd say what I think right now, but it would come out as "word not permitted" I imagine 😛

I'm using FSLTL as a traffic replacement for the Asobo AI traffic and by and large, I find it does a great job. However, lately, I'm finding that a lot of the GA models are pink (indicating the liveries aren't current), presumably because the software needs an update, but I don't see an option to do that.
