So in the past I really liked products such as Vataware for being able to see a log book of my flights, then being able to see on a map the route I took , my altitude/speed etc. Today we have similar offerings from products such as ProjectFly & PMDG Global Flight Operations. However all of these products seem to have short life spans and you always need to part of some organisation such as VATSIM , a VA or purchase a payware aircraft to use them. So Asobo if you're reading it would be nice if there was something built into the sim that let me see my historical flights in a log book manner. It would also be really neat if I could take screenshots as I'm f…

Wouldn't it be nice if there could be a easy and clean program interface to add or remove custom scenery models to the sim (i.e. landmarks, etc) similar to the Steam Workshop? Would automatically install everything needed. Could use this interface for free or payware products as well (think, airports, aircraft, etc). 8 Eiffel towers to choose from? Have a bold red coordinate/range warning message for duplicates you may inadvertently have added..

I know that IFR presentation is still ahead of us, but I remember that SID/STAR functionality was mentioned in one of the videos and I was wondering if Asobo is going to use such file format for AIRACs that will be handled by e.g. Navigraph... What do you think?

Looking closely at the maps, I do get a little frustrated sometimes, as the resolution is quite low in some places and out of date. If FS used google as the data source, it would be quite different. Now I know this has been discussed before and the developers mentioned that any updates would be imported into the sim, but I have not seen any change from the day MS was announced, till now, in particular 3d cities. Perhaps they have resources we do not have. That would be great! Of course, Bing Maps is a already a huge improvement over what we had, so in that sense, this is complaining at a very high level!

Hello, I like MSFS to add the option to toggle on and off between old vs new cockpit looks, that apply to the windshield as well, I think it looks cool and realistic to have some dirt and dust all over the window, but also I find it to be distracting and annoying to have a black spot that my eyes focuses on the whole time while I'm trying to enjoy a beautiful scenery. The reason being is I have xbox game pass for PC. I went to download a 30gig game and it was only downloading at 1.6m a second (it would take like 36 hours) on my connection with is 300 mb per second. I tried multiple computers I own and googled and read other people also have extremely slow d/l speeds from MS. With these types of speeds downloading how will it be when FS comes out and people trying to download gigs of scenery on the fly? Maybe my experience was just a glitch but I'm not really impressed with MS speeds for download or streaming.

Having the globe covered by hires imagery (we won't but let's suppose we do) is great. Of course. Except... Except it is a little flat 😊. Flying most of the time below 15k feet, I am also interested in having a convincing (I prefer the word convincing to the word realistic) overlay of buildings and trees over the map. Models, scale, textures. OrbX and Turbulent have done an excellent job with TerraFlora, HD Trees and HD Buildings but the end result is still toyish because they cannot change the underlaying autogen models which are at least 20 years old. Their tree textures are lovely but the tree cross-shaped models are so dated, same for the small cubes called ho…

So I was bored and decided to take a closer look at the X019 trailer, stop the video to see the smaller cuts and see what I recognise and what looks good/bad. I recognised this mouse cursor at about 1:04 into the video. This is obviously huge news, look how realistic it is! If I push my mouse cursor out of the screen I can almost pretend that I'm actually playing the game! Also I was hoping someone could tell me where this is... I'm getting Naples vibes but I really really suck at geography. Spoiler

Having seen the beautiful screenshots in the latest media update I had an idea: Why don’t we ask the participants of the tech alpha to give some screenshots of certain areas and ask Microsoft to post them in the next previews? So let me start: I would like to see how the areas around Anchorage look. Any chance to see some pictures of Wasilla, Palmer or Wolf Lake (4AK6)? That would be a super cool surprise if Microsoft could approve some requested shots in January 2020! So who is next?

After seeing several photos and videos released by MS/Asobo I never saw any South East Asian countries especially Philippines my country being featured in MSFS2020 but first world countries. there's a lot of sites to see, explore 7103 Island. I like to soar the mountains of Banaue Rice terraces Chocolate Hills in Bohol Volcano within volcano, Philippines largest caldera - Taal Volcano Or fly around monitoring Mayon Volcano activity fly around the tallest mountain in the Philippines, Mt Apo or island hoping in Hundred Islands. Hoping.... just hoping to see my those places depicted in future Sim. Just wa…

Regardless of whether the tree's are the right height, the photogrammetry is detail level insane, or even if the ATC gives you clearance via a SID or STAR what will you be doing in Flight Simulator when it finally lands? My first idea - 16 bush planes on a hill with new simulator friends! What will you do!?! (P.S. Microsoft/ASOBO Please can you add this on the list of cool things to make awesome list 😉 )

Something I’d love to see in the new sim is the simulation of winds blowing up or down slopes (anabatic/katabatic). This would make flying gliders but also mountain flying with lighter aircraft much more real. An old boy can dream, can’t he ?

First, let me start out by saying that I am not a troll, or upset. Anyways... I think the most recent video confirms that MS/ASOBO has indeed found a way to replace the blocky photogrammetry trees with generic 3D tree models, which should mean no more blocky trees as we’ve seen in a few of the previous videos. This is indeed a step in the right direction. With that being said, the new generic trees in the recent snow video look way too tall. This was a known issue in FSX as well. While I realize this is still very much in Alpha, and may very well already be noted already, but I would still like to humbly request the size of these generic trees are reass…

Have the devs mentioned anything about this multiplayer networks. I wonder how it is gonna be, are they gonna keep it third party or provide a more optimized network that can be modded but only for fs2020 users?

I'm sure many of you experienced 'Black Monday' on Oct. 19, 1987, as it was the single largest stock decline in U.S. history. People saw their investments just evaporate, and it took a long time to rebuild their savings. As happy as I am with Microsoft and Asobo, I'm feeling the pain of another kind of investment crash, that being my P3D airport investments. Did all that airport money just disappear with no value going forward? The thought of that is really depressing, and I hope somehow the value of those purchases can carry over to the new sim. Maybe, just perhaps, the default airports will be so good that I won't need payware to the same extent, but I doubt that a…

Gonna wait until someone does a hardware test benchmark tool vs. fs2020 fps thread, and I see how cheap a machine I can away with. Won't somebody build one using fs2020 and thereby do most of the shopping work for me? I'm lazy😁
