Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Reason I'm asking is because I would like to set up my logitech software to use a custom mouse profile that I will be creating for the sim. But I don't know how to locate the actual .exe file for mfs so that the logitcech software can detect it being launched and set my profiles accordingly. If anyone has any knowledge on how to do this then please lmk. Thanks!

For starters, I am missing all of the premiums deluxe airports and aircraft. I can't even get a plane off the ground, and my controls do nothing. I don't see how to calibrate my joystick although it says it is set to Madcatz default. I can't even release the parking brake, as I don't understand what the "num delete" key is. I am extremely frustrated. Did they seriously change all of the keyboard commands we have been using for years? Cheers, Pete

Hi folks, I can´t believe what some people think about the new simulator. This is a great product out of the box. It took a little while to setup the controllers and to understand the way the sim works, but now I am absolutely impressed. I took off from Frankfurt, Cape Town, Tokio, Moscow with the Cessna. What an experience!! The weather, the clouds, the lighting, the whole world to discover, no tweaking necessary on a modern pc, the default Cessna is simply fun. It's so fun to do low level flight in MSFS. The scenery is awesome for low level flight. Bravo to Asobo and Microsoft for making a next generation sim!

Yesterday I thought I'd have a go in the Cessna Longitude. Started at the gate and had to start it from cold learning as I went. Started the APU, spun up the engines, set the lights etc. Got taxiing clearance and got myself on the runway. Once another aircraft had exited, I was given clearance to take-off. I decided to do a rolling start and gave it the beans. It started running down the runway but it just wouldn't get off the ground. The aircraft felt like I had a couple of elephants in the back. Hi chaps, I remember with FSX there were numerous limitations to getting the cheaper standard version of the sim to the Deluxe model. I only really want to get the cheapest version of MSFS because I am not interested in default aircraft or airports - all I want to know is, is the difference between the 3 versions only about the amount of airports/aircraft you get, or are there limitations to the cheaper Standard one that will later make me wish I hadn't been such a cheapskate? Hi! I have noticed something strange... I have the sim installed on g:\ (my big ssd) the whole game downloaded into G:\, the cache settings is changed so its installed on G:\ However, after running MSFS for a while... the disk space is almost gone (100 gb gone) from C:\... (The disk space is going on g:\ as well) Have anyone seen similar things happening?

Good morning all. I pre ordered Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe and within the store, I have it as an owned product. It seemed to me that I needed to first install the basic package, which I did yesterday - it took almost 11 hours. This morning, I thought to add the de luxe package, but it asks for "redeem a code". I am sure I don't have one. It will, and has, started the basic package and downloaded something extra before permitting me to enter the sim. How on earth do I add the additional parts of my package or must I uninstall and download the "full" package? Very disappointed with airports. Completely different houses placed wrong even on taxiways. I was expecting houses to be generated by AI using bing views. Also AI...engaged crashed into a building, put on runway it flew into a mountain. (haven't looked into that further)

Is there anywhere inside the sim to get airport info. Such as runway elevation, runway length, traffic pattern, ect.?

Hey guys! Do you remember those glorious seas shown on the trailers? You could see the coral reefs, you could see some underwater features! I was looking forward to that since i live in the caribbean and we have a lot of beautiful beaches... But no, they are nowhere to be found. The water details only extend for a few meters and then only boring water. How is it possible? It was given a lot of prominence on the trailers!! I even remember that some of the earlier screenshots we had where showing those details. Bing has all those details, but its missing on the release. What a disappointment 😨😨

So assigned all the control surfaces to my Joystick and when I bank slightly right or left up or down, in a Cessna or Cub, the yoke goes either full left or full right same for up and down. It's impossible to control even basic aircraft. Then ultimately I crash to the ground???

I have noticed the beta version of FSUIPC v7 is available that works with MSFS 2020. My understanding is to get it to work you need the Simconnect.dll from the SDK. In order to get the SDK you need to set the sim to developer mode(no idea) I only downloaded the sim from Windows App store last night so havent had much of a chance to look at it as it took all night to download the content. Could one of my learned friends from the community just outline the process for doing this. Also I opted for the basic licence, which I now regret not going for the Deluxe licence. I have not installed the sim yet, as I am waiting for a SSD to arrive, but based on the rather mixed bag of feedback: We have the whole world simulated and have "early access" to it. With such a massive scale project, major bugs and glitches in this stage were to be expected. I think I can remember that at least, performance wise, FSX was no better. And indeed, it seems that for many, FS2020 runs rather smoothly, at least in terms of fps. Question then is, would you rather have waited till its more polished?

Im not comfortable with the mouse axis. I want all the axis to be inverted from what they are by default, but I cannot find anything in the settings about this. Anyone know?

I wanted to pass my performance I'm seeing thus far with my system (see signature) In sim settings are set to 'high' with TAA and both render scaling and level of detail at 200 (resolution at 1920x1080P) Flying 152 Aerobat Resource manager on a nice flight around Seattle was showing CPU averaging 60-70 range and GPU 90-100 (mostly 90-95) on the ground that would drop to high 70 low 80 range. The sim runs very nicely. Using TrackIR5 Pro w/X56 HOTAS Also did flight from RJNS Shizuoka...very similar results.

Hi! I have noticed that the runway textures on EGLL is extremely blurry... it looks fine right outside the aircraft but if I look straight down the runway it looks absolutely terrible. I have the premium deluxe version so the best version of EGLL should be available... if this is what that is... that I regret my decision on spending the extra money. haha. Has anyone noticed the same?
