Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am having difficulty in setting my Saitek AV8R-10 joystick, because I can't get the controls to be seen in the device setup screen. This is very frustrating I've been trying to do this for hours and I'm about ready to give up! I need step by step instructions please. Is there an update for the sim so it can recognize my joystick? Thanks

Got to admit, I'm having a lot of adjustments on cameras, so many gimmik and tons of bindings! specially the Hat switch. Does anyone able to make the hatswitch to free look?

Disregarding scenery and other good-looking stuff, how satisfied are you with the simulation itself, aircraft flying/behaviour/response etc.?

Hey together, Everytime i selected an Arriival and Destination i got into the last 5% of the loading screen. After that i get a crash. Someone with same issues or a possible fix? GTX970, Drivers new, Windows Update done.. Need help please.

Spent 12 hours trying to get this thing installed but it crashed with a Fatal DXD311 error. I have a Aorus 5700 XT Radeon card. The Gigabyte site is terrible by the way. Through a Bing search I found a set of AMD drivers and updated the card. It now just started to install. Just a heads up for anyone having these crash type issues.

I was really looking forward to this sim but I am struggling to run it and I am not sure if it's me or the sim. i7 8550u quad core 4ghz Nvidia GTX 1050 16gb ram 1tb SSD More than 100mb/s download internet connection. These are all above the minimum spec and similar to recommended in my eyes. However on medium to low settings all I can achieve is 30fps maximum with Vsync off, and that is at a small airport, such as Zakinthos LGZA. At Heathrow for example I will get 10. I have turned off all the fancy lens glare, reflections etc as they're not my cup of tea... I appreciate I won't get the best results with my setup but am I wrong in expect…

Is MSFS 2020 Compatible with Server / Client Configuration of Networked Multiple Computers for Panoramic extended view on multiple screens in home cockpit like X-Plane 11? Moreover, are multiple licenses of MSFS 2020 required for this purpose ?

Decided to take a dip with gamepass.. Performance on my system is pretty good. Averaging 35 FPS on Ultra preset at 2k resolution right out of the box without any tweaks. Zero stuttering issues so far. Gpu usage 95-100% while cpu jumps around 84-90% Ryzen 3700x GTX 1080TI 16GB DDR4 3200mhz Samsung evo 1tb ssd Acer xb271hu with gsync enabled. Sim itself is disappointing but this has been mentioned countless times by now.. At least it performs well on my system which is good news when the sim finally gets polished in the future.

Hello! Really amazed how the sim is. I never saw such level of detail in the clouds. They are ....... (speechless) Thanks a lot of continuying the development of this great flight sim. Will try to convert my planes to FS2020 (and of course continue development of them in Xplane). One thing that I would like to be removed are the 3 video presentations at the beggining. Asobo, the other company that made the autogen (incredible work), and the main video presentation of FS2020. Plus an additional image that appears, so we can run faster the sim. Is there anyway of removing the presentation intros? Thanks!

I pre ordered the sim several weeks ago. I cant find any place to download it for pre order buyers. I bought the Game Pass subscription. I downloaded the Game Pass App, but when I execute it I get the loading page with Xbox (BETA) at the top, Pirates dressed in purple costumes under, then "Making things awesome" below, then the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom. In five hours the scroll bar has not moved. I also can not find where to download the actual game that I pre ordered. All I can find is where to buy it. The forum at the MSFS site is not working and there is no place to get help from them. Anyone have any help here? Thanks …

Hi Guys & Gals, hope you are all enjoying MSFS2020 as much as I am. I am beginning to get to grips with it - slowly and patiently. A couple of questions relating to the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and Throttle. 1) using the Warthog reverse detent, how do I bind that to the airlines and jets? 2) Is there a method whereby you can get trim up/down to repeat the action when you depress the button - similar to what you can achieve through FSUIPC in FSX and P3D? Thanks in anticipation of any responses.

Posted over at the main FS forums... though it appears to be default-ish. If Asobo can pull off the ability to load IAPs into these default avionics, perhaps at some point it could be passed on to other aircraft using the Gxxx avionics. Still...I'd be interested. As the title says, all my coolie hat on my T.16000 is capable of in MSFS is switching views and the snapping back. What do I have to do that I get the normal look around feature back? Like the mouse view they implemented? Thanks for any hint..

Can you delete flights from the log book? I've done a few trial flights that I'd like to "erase" from the book.

Am I correct, if you buy FS 2020 Standard Edition, it comes with Only 30 airports? Do all other FSX airports exist, and the 30 are Just customized and detailed? Can somebody clarify this? It sounds like the Microsoft Flight Model where you have to purchase additional airports/planes etc. I think this model killed the Flight platform?? Thanks!!

Been out of sim flying for 5 years and getting back into it. Well the better half was big into virtual airlines. So she bought the new one on Steam.... Apart from the controls not showing up because of steam.... The game starts and the sound plays for the advertising splash screens but there is no in game sound at all. There is minimal functionality in game to see what's going on as well. I found another with the issue and no fix. So It is in the middle of redownloading the game. Anyone know of any fixes if that doesn't work. If it doesn't fix it I will just have her put in for a refund through steam as so far it's a stea…

Hi. From your tinkering with the settings, which setting(s) is the biggest FPS killer in the game? Some people mention that render scaling has a large impact on your FPS. And people are also saying that AI traffic hurts the FPS. What settings did you find have the biggest impact on the FPS?
