There has been no official statement from either MS or Asobo on the freaking number of issues many users including me are experiencing, the most pressing ones being inability to install or crashes. This in non acceptable and if I had bought the game on steam instead MS store I had already returned it. I've not been able to play for more than 3 Minutes due to the game always crashing to desktop without any message. Zendesk's response is as useless as can be imagined and I wonder why I should alter my complete setup (including reinstalling Windows) just because they are unable or unwilling to fix the most pressing issues upon release? This feature really does make FS2020 feel like a console game. Is there a way to turn it off? know Ive only scratched the surface of the game but I think I,ll stick with P3D and X-plane for now as I am not impressed with FS2020 in its current state.

OK, before everyone jumps me for nitpicking I am only bringing this up because this feature already works to some extent. Does anybody else's strobe lights illuminate the ground or other objects? The beacon lights up the tail section of all the aircraft but the strobes which are meant to be very bright are only just small pinpricks of light that do nothing at all. Also I think the taxi lights are ok but the landing lights need a lot more reach ahead of the aircraft. Cheers

Blown away by out of the box performance. Yes, there are a couple of bugs, but compared to FSX launch flying is smooth (not checked FPS but it feels buttery smooth so far after an hour of UK flying) rather than a slideshow. Flying on i8700k @4.8 and RTX2700 16GB RAM. Does anyone have some missing ATC voices? I hear some radio transmissions, but for others I just hear the mike click but no voice. Presuming I'm missing some windows voice packs? Also, does anyone know where the logbook entries are stored and if we can delete flights? FS2020 is going to be a great base/platform to build on for many years to come. Happy flying.

Any assistance on creating, inputting and flying a flight plan or even editing a FS plan would be appreciated. Also flew the A320 today, all good with ATC till half way through, no further atc instructions received and aircraft did not commence descent as per F/P, any thoughts? Thanks Raknal

I have checked the "auto rudder assist during take off" because otherwise my AC became a sidewinder during ground roll..... I have a Mad Catz Fly 5 stick and I think I have assigned all axis correct and also set the sensistives for the axis down to about -75 to -90 something. The problem is when I fly GA AC the AC moves/jumps around alot (just like in moderate to severe turbulence) in the air both pitch nose up/down and also rolls left/right so there is absolutely no smooth ride at all :( I do not understand why the AC is behaving like this in the air? Hi, In FSX and Prepar3d piston turbo charged engines would loose power as you climbed unless they were leaned. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in the new sim? Regards Dave.

Anyone get the manual cache to work? I tried to cache the area around my small hometown and airport. After downloading the area and unplugging my internet connection everything looks the same as it does with no cache or internet. No improvements at all. I tried doing the whole area in Low, Medium and High and no changes. Medium and High had exactly the same file sizes, both pretty small (single digit megabytes), so it must not be saving much. It looks great with the internet connection, and is still playable without. I was just hoping I could have some high quality areas saved locally. I also tried disabling the rolling cache and it had no effect.

Holy word not allowed. I was struggling for an hour or two with stutters, but I think... with some help from reading constructive users' posts, I found a nice sweet spot... This sim is out of control good! 1080ti I7770k @4.9 16g of ddr4. I havent cached anything yet. 1440p I was getting a fair amount of stuttering when I first booted it up yesterday. I was a little bummed to be honest. But I did a touch of tweaking. I saw that turning the rendering down does wonders, and they're right. Maybe it is there but I can't find it. In FSX and P3d there is a "reload aircraft" key. It is an extremely useful key because if your aircraft has a glitch or is stuck, or you wish to reload it quickly after tweaking or editing, it re-loads instantly. It saves an enormous amount of time, which otherwise involves quitting the whole sim then restarting, or slightly better, quitting to the main menu then waiting for the whole flight scenario to reload. I've trawled through the key bindings but can't find it. Has anyone else seen it?

Hi i have a Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz 16 gb of ram ATI Radeon RX 580 Series and a samsung 60Hz/120Hz monitor - so my question is why am i not getting anything ove 60fps and why in setting does it only go up to 60fps - i have the game on low end and it just freezes and lags all the time - i have tried with v-sync on and off but nothing ? And my internet is 40mbps Thanks

Hello fellow pilots! In trying to fix some of the not unexpected liberties taken with the default a/c performance, I discovered that FS2020 still has the old file structure and .cfg files! Yay! (and it is a sincere Yay!) Like the topic says, I only have one joystick to set up, a Saitek AV8R-01. AV8R, get it?? It has two throttles, I set one for Throttle 1 Axis and the other for my Elevator Trim Axis. (I will make a separate confiiguration for two-engine aircraft). Twist handle, = Rudder Axis. X and Y axes mapped to Ailerons Axis and Elevator Axis, and two buttons, one on each side, for left and right brakes. So far, so good... First, let me say that the sim has a huge potential, but it no where near ready. starting up the sim @ KWHP and KVNY the surrounding areas around the airport, like buildings and tress look terrible, weird 3D looking objects, tress and building. Also tress are over the water area, LA river..and other places. Performance was pretty bad at most, texture popping up, and loading, texture around buildings didn't look good and took forever to load at medium, high and ultra. Distance draw for auto gen is limited and little farther away looked blurry, empty, and boring. I've tried it with C172 and my fps were 5-30fps depending on the settings. The single least enjoyable game install ever. I install the 10 dvds. Fine. The prompt comes up MSFS Preorder, chose which disc to install 120 gb to. I kill it go into Microsoft store. I have 2 games MSFS and MSFS preorder. I install MSFS. now it only has 1 gb to download. watch several logos and doleful music. press any key nothing happens. ctl alt del, kill it. Next time round we get past that. Blue progress bar creeps across the screen. At the end nothing happens. Kill it again. Third time through it needs a 16 gb update. This crashes but has recovered.

Hi so bought and tried to install MSFS on my HP notebook and it said that it was below minium requirements for it to run but it didn't say why? I have a i7 4 core processor and 32 gigs of ram. 2tb harddrive. My video card though is a intel UHD graphics 620 is this might be the problem. I know I don't have the SSD drive on this computer but I plan on getting one that does. I have Cox Pananoramic bandwith with my router. I think it's above 300mbps. I have sound through my headphones but not my speakers I have selected speakers in the sound settings and works on everything else and all sound settings in the game are turned on anyone can help I would be great full thanks

Could anyone help with getting my track IR working? It doesnt recognise it on startup like other sims do and i cant find it in the controls.

Has anyone run 2020 offline straight from their hard drive? If so could you post how it went for you. Reason for asking is my ISP download rates are wicked and I simply couldn't afford to run it online every time I wanted to go fly.

Here's what my Windows store shows: If you hover over the exclamation points next to the two upgrades, it says "Flight Simulator Deluxe // Premium Deluxe Upgrade does not work on this device." Is that just because it's an unlock key or something? I have a 100% updated brand new installation of Windows 10 (64) thanks to an upgrade I did the other day somehow managing to destroy the boot partition and require a re-install.

Thank you Asobo and Microsoft, Teething pains not withstanding, (and there are many). I must say the features and eye candy (including those to come, especially Vr and seasons), are all the things I have dreamt of since I started simming, back in 1989. I am unable to imagine the future of this software after DX12 and all the kinks worked out and developers get their heads around the SDK. I will admit that I am a little disappointed by all the negative experiences so many seem to be having, but based on the scope of the project, some of that should be expected. "As real as it gets" is appropriate for this version of MSFS.
