Can anyone point me to a subject listing for keyboard & joystick? Many of my current assignments are different in MSFS & a printed list for default MSFS would be a handy reference while I sort them out. Thanks T45

Found some interesting things as far as detail in certain cities. Look at my manual cache here. My caching of Washington DC is same or larger in all sizes (low, medium, high) then my New York City cache, yet NYC is almost 10 times the file size of DC (11.19 vs 1.38 GB). That must mean that NYC has 10x the amount of manually built, detailed buildings vs. DC (and in DC I can see only 2 manually built buildings, Pentagon and Lincoln Memorial). Interesting. The other issues is the fact that the manual cache is useless now. After making these I went back in to take the screenshot below. So this is happening... I get the "Press any key" message in the launcher, after which it just crashes to desktop. Event Viewer says that the faulting module name is ucrtbase.dll. After googling the issue I installed the Windows 10 SDK and all the VC++ redistributables to see if that fixes it, but no luck. Also tried running the launcher as Administrator, but same thing happens. Any ideas?

Hi, If you disable all live weather and choose a preset you is presented with the option to choose time of day etc, In that menu just under time settings there is a "live" button . What is this for ? (as weather live is disabled and a preset cloud settings is selected in prior screen) Thanks Michael Moe

I'm using MSI afterburner monitoring and I notice my GPU utilisation just drops randomly which causes FPS loss down under 20fps and massive stutters. At the moment my GPU utilisation is around 70% and CPU around 60% and I don't understand why the GPU utilisation just won't throttle up and have my FPS above 30fps all the time. This happens mostly with the A320 and not so much with the SR22 which I mainly fly. I have so much underutilised resources on my PC it should be using that extra computing power! So how can I maintain my GPU utilisation? Is this a coding issue? I've installed the latest NVIDIA drivers - my card is a RTX2060.

Finally got it downloaded and installed yesterday, and had some time to do some flying. As expected, it's *very* pretty, but holy smokes is there going to be a huge learning curve! Let's hope people start coming up with tutorials real soon. A few questions. I was under the impression you could change time/weather within a flight, is that possible? I couldn't find a way to do either. Same with changing aircraft, unless I enable dev mode. Time compression, if I pressed r and then + or - nothing happened.

Hi, I was able to bind the axis of my CH Pro Pedals to the Rudder Control. In the GUI, the movement of the bar (sensitivity) looks smooth from full left to full right. Settimngs in Windows Control Panel and calibration also seems to be ok. Ingame however the rudder only deflects full left or full right once i move the pedals slightly. Sensitivity settings don't change anything. Interestingly the brakes behave as expected. Has anyone encountered similar problems? I can't remember 100%, but I'm pretty sure I had them working on the first try but had to delete the Profiles because I was stuck with mutiple bindings interfering with each other. Hello! I'm doing a short fly from Bucharest Henri Coanda to Mihail Kogalniceanu Constanta but i'm not getting the heading from the tower to the runway... I've selected ILS flying but i don't know what's wrong. In FS 2004 the tower would tell me the exact heading to the runway til the ILS signal would catch to my plane, but here nothing happens... I'm doing something wrong?

My TrackIR works fine except for the fact that even if I sit perfectly still the camera jumps forward and back all the time. Just tons of constant little movements, I tried using the TrackIR tool, set it to Smooth, fiddled with axis settings, but nothing changes. It's unusable in it's current state. My issues after a few hours are mainly about camera views and controls. 1. Hatswitch is fine in cockpit for panning view... But needs mouse in external. Why ? 2. Panning speed and momentum resets with each flight. Just plain annoying. 3. Quick Views (external) randomly stop working. 4. Why are half the Alaskan airports missing ? Nome is there for example, but no Unalakleet. The UNK VOR/NDB (forget which) is there, but no airport in database. What will happen with Navigation databases like Navigraph or the company they are partnered with. Do they just ignore them ? 5. Saitek trim wheel not recognised at all. 6. Any way of removing the instrume…

And that's convincing white water waves that crash into the shores. When flying around islands such as Hawaii, the overall scenery is gorgeous but when you look down at the shorelines, it's definitely killing the immersion without the white water waves. I really hope either MS/Asobo can add this in or a 3rd party developer can work their magic to fill in the gap to recreate realistic looking coastlines/shorelines in the sim.

For some odd reason "Ctrl + Num Del" keys no longer release my parking brakes? Started after I got my CH Pro rudder pedals added to the sim. Has anyone else had this and found a fix?

Hi. I have a second monitor setup just for flight simming and with MSFS2020 I noticed there is a problem when I attach the map pop-up or checklists onto it and when I move my mouse pointer over to second monitor the yoke doesn't give any input to the MSFS2020 any longer. It is really annoying if I am VFR flying and have to move my the map or tick items on the checklist I cannot use my yoke at the same time anymore. With X-Plane 11 this was not the problem with two monitors. Has anyone else have had this bug with two monitors and is there a solution to fix it ? I have had many near crash situations when I tried to control the aircraft and yoke is not respons…

Just to get this straight, with AI Traffic the ATC interacts and controls it but with real world traffic it doesn't so that as a pilot you have to make sure that you're not trying to land at the same time as someone else? Like with the traffic programs in XP? How does Networked traffic work? Surely you can;t see everyone who is flying on the sim? Thanks, Paul

Definitely a good features, but how can I do to set a simultaneous button? In the control window I click on the cell in the first column, another window pops up. a message says "Press the button or a combination of buttons" but if i do it nothing happens. I have to click on select a control and manually select the number of the button but in this way i don't know how to get the simultaneus combination. Any suggestion?

As the title says, is there a way to use Kg's instead of lbs's in the aircraft weight and balance?

I already had the basic download pack installed the day before, so, I started the download of the necessaries just after midnight and went to bed. My reasoning: if it doesn't work, then there is a problem. Being and "olderguy with olde guy's problems" I woke up four hours later for the usual... on checking the 'puter - "all done". I could go back to bed... er... nope. Just one try... Well, after some fumbling I did get a flight going in the Crafters Cub, which I promptly crashed. The game tries to download the same file over and over again. It comes to around 20% and then just resets. Any ideas on how to fix it? Been sitting here for like an hour

Hey all, After trying MSFS for the first time the other day I was so disappointed with the performance - stutters, instability, crashes. I was almost about to give up and wait a few months for it to get better with bug fixes and updates. I could't understand because I'm running a fairly good setup - i7 8700, 32GB DDR4 2666, GTX 1080Ti. I had Hyperthreading disabled because P3D runs better without it. So I thought I'd try turn it back on in the BIOS and see if there's any difference - Wow it's almost stupid how much of an improvement that made. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's discovered this: 1) Be on the ground in any aircraft with the active pause enabled 2) Throttle your aircraft up to max 3) Wait until you see the speed raise and go up to above 100 knots 4) Release the active pause and pull back on the stick The aircraft will suddenly accelerate from nothing to 100 knots immediately like a rocket. It's like being blasted off the line by one of those aircraft carrier catapults. I noticed this because I could actually overstress my aircraft being in the air with active pause on.
