I'm baffled as to why I can only set the right throttle in the MSFS UI. In all of my joystick tester utilities, the right throttle shows up as the Z axis and the left throttle shows up as the RZ axis. Unfortunately, I can't figure out what the equivalent axis setting is in the MSFS UI. It is possible to do with FSUIPC6 and P3d5, but I haven't taken the time to use the FSUIPC 7 beta with MSFS, as then I have to create an MSFS controller profile with all the all MSFS axes, etc. deleted to prevent conflicts. Or is there a way to disable the automatic joystick detection, as is possible in P3d5? Has anybody come up with a solution? I've checked the MSFS subreddit and…

I've seen other threads with screenshots so I assume this is allowed? If not then please remove or relocate. I've done quite a few flights so far, mainly looking around my local area and doing hops between more familiar airports around the UK. This has topped it all so far though, a short hop from Turin-Caselle to Geneva at real time using real weather, or at least it seemed that way from the relevant radar and satellite images. From skirting the mountains when heading west to making a northern approach over Lake Geneva. Truly stunning, I never dreamed it could be like this.

Has anyone determined if there is any reason or difference in having two columns in the control mapping? I see some using the left and some using the right. I started using the right column because in FSX/P3D the left was usually for keyboard binding and right for joystick. Can't seem to find any documentation about it. Vic

In my controller setup, the second throttle axis not recognized. It sits in the list of assignable axis and buttons but doesn't do anything in FS2020. Ik works fine in every other sim as it does in the device controller. But no joy in FS2020. Anybody else with the same problem?

I've seen a few people in this forum complaining about the new simulator and its faults. Some complaints were valid, many not so much. After reading many complaints about how it is impossible to perform a IFR flight (most complaints were about autopilot usefulness), and how you can't alter your IFR plan unless you exit to the main menu and start again, I decided today since I had a bit of spare time to do both these things and see what would happen. Thankfully the whole flight went marvelous. The auto pilot worked flawlessly, I edited my flight plan on the move (used the onboard gps to edit flight plan and then request new clearance from ATC) and had probably the mos…

I'm using the "checklist" feature but can't get the engine started. Checklist suggests hitting the starter for 2 seconds, watch NG rise to 13%, then move the throttle to low idle. Where do I see the NG settings, since the PFD and MFD are still off. Must be missing a step or two??

So, I want to share my views on MFS, too. Especially reading all the very negative statements here, which let MFS look as if it was one of the worst simulators / games ever released. Which is clearly not the case. Disclaimer Some may remember me as mostly an X-Plane user and involved with some 3rd party developers (vFlyteAir, Aerobask), and I usually write X-Plane related reviews and guides for the German FS MAGAZIN, so you may of course assume I'm biased. But I always try to not be and be very fair in my judgements. So, before I go into detail about what I like in MFS and what I don't yet like I want to state clearly: MFS is a revolution for the flight s…

Surprised this isn't being discussed more - the 60/30/20 FPS limit option that's visible in the MFS graphics settings isn't really limiting FPS to those specific numbers, it's just forcing Vsync/half vsync/third vsync. Thus, if you have a high refresh rate display like many of us do (I have a 165hz display) the "60 fps" option is not really 60fps but 165. Please Asobo, just give us a simple slider with specific FPS limit. I don't like my GPU fan sounding like a mini vacuum cleaner because I can't cap GPU load like I want to. Yes I'm aware of tools like Nvidia Profile Inspector to do this, but we should have an option right there in the menus.

My son and myself use FS2020 Premium deluxe. We each have our own XBOX login. We are both using my WINDOWS user account, but when he logs himself in to FS2020 using his Xbox account he loses access to the Premium additions. Is that correct? Alan

The game is provided via the Windows Store - i dont know a possibility to install the games from the store into separate folders. How is it possible to install the Flight Simulator on its dedicated SSD then? Am i missing a function of the Windows store? As far as i know i can only change installation path for ALL apps via System Control Panel, and only the drive, never a path.

- ATC doesn’t make any sound. It talks in the dialog box, no sound out of the speakers. - All the boats around St. Maarten and Anguilla are underwater. Same for piers, docks, etc. - After 20 minutes of flying around, all the cockpit switches, levers, etc. stopped working, i.e. you could no longer actuate them with mouse clicks. Good thing you can make a no-flaps landing in the 152. - Runway at TNCM (St. Maarten) just looks... weird. I think it’s from the supposed elevation changes? Makes it look like the runway isn’t straight. As far as actual flight, p-factor on the prop is way overdone. And I mean way overdone. You push in the throttle on the 152 and…

For the last two days, as much as time permits, I've been simply enjoying the experience of learning and flying in the new world of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I'll admit to staying up late and getting up extra early, because I can't ever remember having a more joy and awe filled experience in any game or simulator ever. Only a few times in the past, rarely, have rivaled it. Is that because it's perfect? No, far from it. I didn't expect perfection or even a finished product, it was obvious that despite the official hype it was being released too early. I honestly expected far more problems that I encountered. That's because of paying attention to what was be…

Hi All, For the ones, who prefer offline flying with atc, Pilot2atc; which is a very good tool for air traffic control including speech recognition, detailed flight planning and a moving map, is working with MFS2020 via FSUIPC7. I tested and seems to be working fine. But, as I realised, apart from Pilot2atc, FSUIPC is causing dramatic FPS drops. I hope this will be fixed in the near future. I wanted to share this info to whom it may concern. Happy flying...

Hello, Maybe someone can help me. Windows 10 2004 PC with MFS2020 online version is on it. I just don't know where and can't get to the folder. I also tried it with approval - but without success. I ask for help, I certainly did something wrong. Thanks CFG874 Bernd

Besides the obvious 'bugs' with MFS, I am enjoying this sim. Hope to have VR soon (love VR in XP11). Anyway, I was wondering if there is a XP11 WED-like airport editor for MFS? My local airport, KVIH, is really ugly and lacking buildings (to be fair, XP11 was like that, and I used WED to turn it into what the acutal airport looks today). Oh, and is there a way to get rid of the pushback vehicles? VIH doesn't have any, and a C172 really doesn't need one... Can't wait to see the full potential of MFS. Rob

As we all know our bandwidth can vary throughout the day especially on WiFi (many of us are not directly plugged into our routers anymore). My WiFi is pretty high most times of the day just the same FS will mark it as too slow at times right before my flight starts having the sim look like default FSX. When this first happened and the sim was looking very low quality was right when I was showing it to someone. They were not impressed and I thought I had did something wrong in a setting somewhere. Now it’s apparent I’ll have to pre-download scenery of cities I fly to allot. I was wondering how all this would work depending on WiFI, streaming, and Microsoft each time …

I don't exactly remember where I saw this, but it was on a video on youtube that this message showed up on the user's screen while flying. I'm not talking about the tutorial that teachers you how to fly and you handover the controls to the co-pilot. This was completely different. It was a user handflying and then somehow the message popped up saying co-pilot is in control or something like that. Does this mean the co-pilot is smart enough to handle the flight and how does one do this?

Does anyone know where FS2020 saves the control bindings? I want to copy & paste my joystick settings to my son's PC so that he doesn't have to do everything from scratch. FSX saved it in AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX/Controls, but I can't find anything similar for FS2020 (We both use CH Products Fighterstick and Throttle with dozens of buttons and hat switches and the CH products peripherals have to be set up manually as they are not identified and configured by FS2020 automatically unfortunately)

Top gun pro will not centre the ailerons. I start a shallow bank, let go of the stick, ailerons should return to centre with joystick spring. Not happening.....I have to put opposite stick to return the ailerons to centre which Pushes the plane into an uncontrollable Condition. Drivers are up to date, everything else on the stick works properly. Two full days of frustration sent me here. Could the stick be too old? If I have to buy a new stick, I will. HELP
