With no change log or what was addressed? Anyone know? Menus seem speedier so far, but the CH yoke and pedals now don't show up in controls! 😞

Well found this at flightsim forum - thanks to original poster There are THREE kinds of pauses: Active pause (default key: PAUSE): this freezes the plane but everything else goes on… which may end in disaster quickly: only use this when in level flight and to made a small adjustements to something (which are hard to to while flying), not for taking screenshots or using the drone cam! Pause (default key: Esc): this brings you to the menu… not really what I call a pause and totally useless for taking screenshots and such The REAL pause (default keys… NONE!!! 😵 😞 yes, there IS a pause option that actually PAUSES the entire sim as you’d expect… but it has…

  4. So I was flying for the first few times today, I for the life of me could not find a way to get the instrument panel window within my screen like they had in FSX. I would just go to the views tabs up top after pressing “alt” and there would drop down list to bring up different view panels (ex: the throttle area, the altimeter, etc.). I like to have those few panels to drag around when I want to fly from the external camera (like the tail) POV. I see that in the new flight simulator they automatically display the all the readings and altimeter, but no way to adjust them and no throttle. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

My apologies if this has already been posted. The below windows setting seems to fix the very long stutters (many seconds long stutters) that occur periodically during flight and at the start of a flight. However it seems to cause a slightly less stable frame rate. So it is a tradeoff. In windows search for and go to "advanced system settings". Go to the advanced tab and under performance click settings. A new performance options window pops up. Go to the advanced tab and under processer scheduling switch it to Background Services. It appears some background tasks that are required are getting starved of CPU time. This isn't a perfect fix. Hopefully they can com…

  7. Just had an absolutely wonderful full planned IFR flight from KLAS to KPHX including departure and arrival along with ILS landing. The A320's AP didn't miss a beat. I flew the Aerosoft Bus in P3D, and actually used the fuel planner and checklist from it in this planes planning and flight. Miss some of the detail of the switches, but all the major items are included and worked well. Still the slightest of side to side sway at cruise, but nothing like the Alpha / Beta where I like many routinely stated that the plane's AP was trying to kill me. I'm on a relatively low level machine = 4820 i7, 16 gb ram, 1080 ti, and performance was smooth, with a bit of frame loss on KP…

  8. Hello, one thing I've noticed sticking out like a sore thumb is that approach lighting setups that include sequential flashing strobes leading in to the runway are visible from a very far away and also are visible from any angle, not just head on approaching the runway. I don't *think* this is realistic for runways equipped with an ALSF or SSALR approach lighting setup (not to be confused with an ODALS system), I think these lead in strobes would only be visible when facing the runway (give or take some number of degrees) and not from 15-20 miles out? I'd be interested in getting confirmation that I'm correct in my assumptions before I start submitting these as bugs to …

Anyone having any luck with navigation? I have found the VOR frequencies but which planes let you enter them in the radios...like in fsx I could hit full approaches using both nav1 and Nav2 on different frequencies...or use one as a lead radial or to track my distance from the last VOR etc...in fsx I had a flight where at 26nm from the last VOR or about 20 minutes I knew to expect my lead radial needle to start moving in preparation for the runway heading and would initiate my left turn to the airport. Fun stuff like that. With the new fangled glass cockpit you just follow the magenta line I guess.

    1. Waiting on parts for PC upgrade (GPU, SSD etc). 2. Waiting to know if the sim will be optimized for these new GPU cards and which to choose. 2. Waiting to hear about charts and whether to keep Navigraph. 3. Waiting on a MSFS patch or two, and news from developers. 4. Not holding up purchase, but also waiting for aircraft add-ons, HP reverb g2 etc. In short I'm patient for this. Greazer.

With a next generation flight sim, I was expecting next generation features, which for the most part had happend, except for a couple of big things: The road traffic looks to be the same as it did in fs9 and fsx. But most of all, ai traffic has not improved since the days of fs9 (17 years ago!)... poor ground handling, no separation on landing resulting in go arounds, atc vectoring the user into high terrain, etc. I don't have any faith that this will be fixed, but I hope im wrong.

After installing FS2020 the setup screen of TrackIR is greyed out. TrackIR still works in FSX, not in FS2020, but setup screen is still grayed out while in FSX. TrackIR software is 5.4.2 and I downloaded a new copy. Uninstalled TrackIR and reinstalled, no help. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas as to fix? ideas.

A question, are the interior and exterior icing visuals generated automatically my the sim, or do they have to be created by the developer for each model, by creating and placing textures etc? Regardless, they look great on the default aircraft!

  17. Folks, suggest you fly MSFS at HIGH, but with putting both the OBJECTS and TERRAIN sliders to full right, or 200%. This is now how I run MSFS: Default HIGH, but with four custom settings...both the TERRAIN and OBJECT sliders at full right or 200 %. The A.F. from 8 to 16, and Terrain Shadows from 512 to 1024. That will give you kick-butt graphics...and the same for FPS obtainment, and smoothness of animation performance. Truly it is a Set n' Forget...after that..no more fooling around...just fly, and be amazed at what's under your wings... Then press APPLY, and SAVE, and you have a custom setup that will give you great FPS performance, BUT...will give …

Why cant Microsoft use a version of Cortana specifically oriented for aviation according to the sim parameters? Then she could give instructions for the runway and also freely reply to any question.Like, "how are you today" "Im fine Sir" (instead of your name to keep it formal), adaptations to her logical response as an ATC professionalYou could declare an emergency and she gives straight vectors to the nearest airportTell you the weather for any place you askThey could get a copy of the Cortana knowledge base (which they own) and customize her specifically for aviation turning her into an ATC controller, instead of searching the web, she would analise your position and gi…

  19. In on of the light-sports...would suggest giving it a quick shot! Thought I'd try it out for 💩 and giggles, and boy was there more of the former than latter... can't believe how well the sense of "littleness" translates in the sim, and the sound and lighting are just epic! Wow

I have been doing, and enjoying my Visual approachers a lot but I am a bit surprised at the fact that whenever Insert SID. or STARs the AP just follows a DCT, skipping all fixes. Is the AIRAC inplmented in the G1000s or is just for visual help?Apart from that, where do you guys get the info for the LOC course, and frequency for the active runway, ATC doesnt give any ofc, there are no carts available and the moving map is just a VFR joke.
