Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Has anyone successfully installed while using the Windows 10 Home Insider Preview builds? I saw some rumblings that is not compatable. Thanks!

Hey there, I like the idea of the checklist and the assist by the copilot. This worked very well in the Aerosoft A320. In MSF2020 it is possible to use this feature in the "validate mode" of the checklist. From what I understand, the copilot reads the item and I set it. However there is one major Problem in this mode: The Camera view is jumping to the switches I have to set. This might work on the gate but once in motion or in flight I cannot have my head anywhere stuck in the cockpit until the complete checklist is done. I dont understand that behavior and dont know how to disable. It would be ok if those visual arrow would point the direction and the view would only …

Can some please explain the difference between the two, and how much to allocate to each of the cache or no at all. I have currently manual cache setting at 50G but seems quickly filled out.

Hi, in case it helps anyone, i am on a 7700K, 16Gb Ram and 1080Ti system built 2 or 3 years ago, which i overclocked at the time and disabled HT. I use a dell U3415W 1440P monitor. My experience with the new sim has been pretty good so far without major issues, besides some heavy stutters and long pauses at moments (i was noticing 95%+ constant CPU usage, with lower GPU usage) . Today, i decided to re-load the default profile in the bios which removes overclock and puts HT back ON and other complex settings i didn´t know much about that i was still playing with. Anyone know how to get the reverse thrust to work? I have a thrust controller on my CH Yoke and can't figure out how to get the marriage of forward thrust and reverse thrust.

Was working great. Only thing I did was installed DRZEWIECKI DESIGN - MOSCOW LANDMARKS MSFS. It ran fine though there was a crash to the desktop the first time. I shut down everything and came back later and it was working fine at the Moscow upgrade. I shut down the computer and came back later and now it is hung up on the opening screens where it asks you to press a key. Just recycles back to the same screen and message when I press a key. Anyone know a process to by-pass all the opening screens and credits. Short of deinstalling and reinstalling I'd like to take the easier way of course!

2 systems 1 ultra hi end at 64 g ram 2080 ti i7.9 well above required specs. As for sim the FS XX box looks pretty but as for the content, see title. I am at internet speeds 150/40 and was great 1st day but has degraded to unstable word not allowed.

I'm pretty new to this but pretty impressed with how relatively easy it was to setup. The first couple of days it was pretty enjoyable and I was taking off and flying around a few selected areas OK. Today however, I cant even take off. I get off the ground OK and then a voice starts shouting "yaw" or "jaw" and I nosedive into the ground. As a newbie, I have all the settings on easy which I thought would at least get me off the ground. Any ideas on what Im doing wrong (or not doing right"? Thanks

Hi there I am using my trackIR and its working great. The only thing that's giving me trouble is trying to map a cockpit "zoom" view axis on my TM warthog throttle quadrant slider. I currently have "zoom" using the mouse scroll wheel, but it's a bit cumbersome. What I'd like to have (just like I have it in DCS) is my zoom mapped to a slider on my hotas, which is fantastic in combination with trackIR. In the control settings, I can find "cockpit zoom increase/decrease" but it is 100% or 0% and there is no axis zoom to be found. Any ideas?? hi guys, I have 16GB of ram and every time i load up into a 747 or 787 at LFPG the sim crashes with low virtual error message. Msi overlay shows using around 14.5GB or ram while in game . Sim freezes and crashes from there. I think i may need a upgrade of another 16GB here, flying on the high end preset.

When I quit MSFS with rolling cache enabled the program shuts down immediatly. When I quit MSFS with rolling cache disabled it can take several minutes to shut down. Do you experience the same? I have the best experience with the 8GB default rolling cache.

I'm trying to figure out how to open up a default airport in the Project Tool, so that I can edit its properties, I just landed at LKPR and the PAPI for RW24 is seriously off. One can clearly see in the orthoimage were it SHOULD be. But it is way towards the threshhold and basically half sitting on the runway itself. Stuff like this should be easy to fix, if there is a way to open the airports file. But how do I do that?

Hi all. My specs are below, and I’m using a gsync monitor. First I activated gsync for both windowed and full screen, got a tip from others here, thanks. Game runs in windowed and full screen window. Ingame: vsync off-unlimited FPS. External: Nvidia control panel set fast sync, and limit FPS to 60. Gsync activated. Rolling cache: set to off or even better, move to another hard drive if possible, done via game. I clocked my CPU higher, even a few 100mhz could be the difference, and allow for slightly higher settings. Mine seems stable at 4,8ghz I will try aiming for 5ghz. Hi all Is it normal to have ground buildings and vegetation be this blurry and boxy in large cities like Orlando with Ultra settings? I wish i knew how to upload a picture instead of a URL image.

This is very weird its the opposite of P3D. On a GA plane close to the ground even in New York i am quite happy with the performance. Loaded the A320 for the first time and made a flight. The performance are horrible and its at FL380 with water all around me for miles. The CPU and GPU are like on 50% usage so cant be the bottleneck. Any ideas ?

I'm training in the Xcub, I believe its using the Garmin G3X. I'm having hard time figuring out how to use it, I enter a waypoint for "direct route" or end waypoint, but nothing gets drawn on the map. It should give me a direction heading, and snap a line on the map. I"m flying VFR only. I was just wondering if anyone has seen any tutorials for Garmin G3X, setting waypoints, using its GPS, ect.

Good day everyone, first post here. I've been lurking in the forums for a week or so now. New to the sim world and it would appear that I'm a gamer at the moment as opposed to a simmer. I am truly in an emotionally enhanced state now 😅 On my rather mediocre 10 year old system with a GTX960, 16gB ram and i7 2600k, I can see beautifully rendered landscape with forests, towns and clouds in beautiful dynamic and very true-to-life lighting all the way till the horizon, while flying smoothly over it, at high settings. Yes, not 4K (1080), but in FSX or Xplane11, I could not even dream of such visual fidelity at an acceptable performance. Even flew over Milano, Italy, a photogrammetry city, and it was still good.
