Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I do not find the button for assignment of POV Hatswhich on FS2020. All other buttons including the axes are set ok. How can I assign these display functions to CH's FlightSim Yoke? Thanks a lot for the help. Baptista

It's very pretty, there's no denying that. But in so many other way, the new MSFS is frustrating beyond words. There's no documentation for the extremely complex systems. I'm flying in another window using the 787, but I can't land. Every time I try, the engines spool up and I'm going at ridiculous speeds. The entire flight I had to manage the engines manually because the airspeed hold refused to turn on, so why it started working only now I don't know. It says it's disengaged, apparently not. The navigation radios refuse to give me any readings, no matter what I set. There's no map to see if they are correct, just working off memory from the old sims. …

I probably just missed it but after thoroughly reviewing the extensive and comprehensive documentation included with the product I haven't been able to answer this question: what the heck does "decrease/increase drone translation speed" mean? TIA

Since release i've seen people reporting issues of live weather either being incorrect or disappearing completely. Then there were numerous reports of the ATC being under heavy load resulting in no speech with a fix to move over to offline speech. In the last hour or so i've been unable to see any live traffic at all despite trying numerous airports, on the map view itself the live airport activity did show arrivals and departures but in the sim itself nothing spawned. Does anyone know if these are all separated or can potentially all suffer from a combined overload which renders all ununsable at the same time? I know it's early days since release, I was just wo…

Hello, Still trouble shooting for 4 days now. In knowledge base from aerosoft it says : Do I need a Microsoft account to install Microsoft Flight Simulator? Yes. A Microsoft account is required to purchase and install Microsoft Flight Simulator. The disk version of Microsoft Flight Simulator will guide you through the creation of an Xbox account should you not already have one. But it doesn't ask for that ! I'm running a windows 10 pc, should I still create an Xbox account ?? Greetings !

How long does the boxed premium edition take to install? I am only into a small bit of Disc#1 and its taken nearly 1 hour! At this rate I could be up for over 24 hours. Anyone experienced with times. Would be interested to know. Thanks David

First thing I did was look for a field of view setting, but all I saw was 'zoom level'. Zoom level?

I have autopilot enabled, and Altitude hold ON, set at 14000 feet, but its not holding, in fact it does nothing. I can still control the plane using the yolk pitch axis. Additionally the speed keeps changing despite having speed hold on as well. When having the altitude hold on, the vertical speed is off and not displayed, when I turn it on, the altitude hold goes off. Basically its not working how it worked in FSX. I'm flying the 747. Any quick steps that I may be missing?

I have not been able to get my VirtualFly TQ6+ throttle quadrant to work properly with the new simulator. It does not go to idle unless I pull the throttle, prop or mixture below the reverser detent. Also, in Jets and Turboprops there is no reverse range for the throttle. Is this not a supported function in the simulator? I have not been able to actually use it yet since I have no way to properly use my throttle quadrant.

just out of giggles I tried live traffic and sat at KSNA for about 15 min. Planes all over. Non generic models. And the FPS stayed at around 40 at 1080p everything high except textures on ultra. Changed weather and night...same thing. So odd. I've read all over live traffic kills fps but mine looks largely unchanged.

Hello Gang! I keep getting amazed by the fantastic potential of this new platform. Live traffic is awesome and has almost no FPS hit. All we need is a traffic program that can inject liveries and correct models to the live traffic and this thing would transform incredibly. Dennis

All, In FSX, this feature was so easy. We would click on the map and change the altitude. I usually did this when slewing around a city at 3,000 feet. I'm unable to find this feature after 48 hours. Thanks in advance. Tim

Sorry if one of the questions is already covered somewhere else. I actually did use the search function but could not find answers. 1. Can one change the Aircraft mid flight? 2. Is there an option to move the camera just forward in the cockpit view (not forward AND up, what ALT + fwd does). 3. Can one disable the automatic parking brake. I have to press ctrl + , every time the aircraft comes to a stop to move again (seems to constantly turn itself on)

Hi Guys, I have an issue regardless of the the plane, whenever I save a flight and then re-load it at at later time; the menu\on screen toolbar is not there and there is no way to get it back. I can appear once airborne? I have tried different views moving the mouse all over the screen specially near the top and can never get it back...has anyone else had this issue? Simon

I was trying to set my second monitor just to place Moving Maps ,charts and other goodies there while keeping my main one for FS. Its a 2x27 inches setup at 1920x1080. Result, 60--->10 frames. Nvidia Surround works way better with 3940x1080 resolutions, but I dont want a bezel in the middle of the cockpit and the loss of frames. Anyone experiencing the same?

Any news on -or if - when we can use GTN750 - the ability to set VOR /DME is very limited in these aircraft -and Citation CJ 4 is a prime example - especially after earlier models by Carenado 525 and 560

Hello all, After 2 days of getting used to the new UI and trying out a few planes, I had a truly amazing experience last night. I flew the DA40NG from LFCG to LFIM, LFCB and back and I could navigate my way using the maps I was using IRL and spotting the landmarks. It was an amazing feeling to be able to fly again in this region and my old GTX1060 was able to deliver a enjoyable experience (averaging around 20fps at 3440x1440, the rest of the PC has been recently updated). Anyone looking for an interesting landing should checkout LFCB! This sim has so much potential! I do however have a few questions and/or feedbacks: in P3D, I enjoyed being able to review…

Hi, as DV20 Pilot, I want simulation as close as possible. But I could not find how to put the keys for enable/disable the Carburator Heat to a keyboard or joystick button. It cannot be found anywhere. The only way to activate/deactivate is via the mouse in the cockpit itself. Any hints/ideas? Thanks!
