Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

The upgrades in the store don't succeed. Keep getting an error code. Searched internet, nothing works.. Installed the 10 dvd's premium deluxe version. It's just the base pack. Rest must be upgraded via Ms store... When I press play it goes up to "press any key" and that's it.. Waited long, payed money and can't even try to play... Microsoft, please fix your store. Greetings..

For some reason, I only have two traffic choices, OFF and AI Traffic. Do any of you have a real-time Traffic option?

The game crashes to desktop when I try to start a flight from BIKF, is it only me?

Just want to check with the rest of ya - look at the 2 screenshots from my last flight below (open them in full size). The cloud edges are a bit fuzzy, almost like they're being viewed through frosted glass. Is this normal? It happens on all quality settings (medium, high, and ultra) and all the different AA settings. This happens during the daytime as well, and can also be seen on some mountain edges at times. PS: What a view, though!

When im midflight in fs 2020, sometimes i lose the ability to click the buttons and turn dials. The cursor stays as an arrow and all i can do is turn the view around. Anybody else has this? How can i resolve? I have had to quit 2 of my 3 flights due to this.

I’m seriously unimpressed with the poor quality of the mapping data texture quality in flight simulator. I expected it to be on par (or better) with what you get and see on bing or google or Apple satellite maps with the added 3D building features. While “accurate” the image quality is horrible in comparison ... a real turn off ... I rather fly around on bing maps or google earth ... yuck!

Hi, Just joined. Have X-Plane 11 at the moment. Got the hardware, i5 8600K @ 4.7GHz & RTX 2080ti. My enquiry is in regards to MS providing correct topography and surface texture for small grass strips, eg XEG3BZ, XEG3AP, XEG3HF & XBID. Have a HP Reverb G2 on pre-order ( £525 ) Don't want to commit to MS FS2020 until I have confirmation the small grass strips are there and true to life. Cheers, Jim

I hope Asobo is reading these forums. They are already using Bing maps for satellite photos, why not use Bing POI database for generating Autogen? It could affect how AI generates a building that has any POI in it. It can then use building blocks that are themed for specific buildings and structures. This would make aready good VFR even more amazing! Hey everyone, I was flying all last night and really got it dialed in. This morning, I booted it up to take a quick flight and Im getting a CTD on startup. Its happening at the exact same time. After I "press any key" it will go to the first loading screen, then "check for updates, then go to the second loading screen... get about 3/4s of the way loaded, then crash. Its happened 3x now in the exact same spot. The only difference from last night is I created a rolling and manual cache before I went to bed and dropped a pretty big manual download of KPDX in the manual cache. Any information on what airac cycle is being used for all the nav data inside FS2020? Can't find any information on this. I have PFPX and Aivlasoft EFB and would like to install the same airac cycle in these programs, so I can use these for my flight planning when “playing” FS2020 Michiel

Can't seem to get elevator trim settings to work on my old MS Sidewinder. I have tried various different ways but to no avail. A giveaway is that the Trim also does not work under the standard pre-loaded keyboard settings (Num 1 &7). Any ideas?

Is there a way of doing this. Every so often it's handy to be able to see where folk are but you don't need the sky full of labels all the time. Turning them on and off involves delving into the menus, not really an option.

...It turns out to be; A prince! (or a Queen, King!) A diamond, a jewel!... Pure GOLD! After horus of struggling with the settings of controllers, inputs, keybindings... I want to start by saying that I'm very impressed with the new sim. It's only been out a couple days, and I'm convinced that despite any flaws, this is simply the future of civilian flight simulators. It runs quite smoothly on my computer, as it should, as I have a quite expensive and powerful PC. The only significant issue I'm running into right now is when I use SPAD, I get an increase in stutters, especially during critical phases like takeoff and landing. SPAD claims this is a known issue, and a fault with Microsoft regarding how the sim communicates with FSUIPC. Hey guys! I have a couple of questions. First off, I know this sim is brand new, and i’ve tried to put everything to the lowest settings, but for some reason, im not getting even 10 frames per second. My computer has 16 GB of RAM. AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 475 GB SSD. The only requirement it doesn’t meet is the Graphics card, mine is an AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 mobile (you can tell that this is a Surface Laptop 3). Does the graphics card really impact that much on performance? If it does, I only thought it impacted the resolution, and appearance of the sim. Can someone help me with this? I can see ATC talking in the text log in the ATC window, but it doesn't always actually talk out loud. I hear radio clicks when it's supposed to be talking, but there's no voice. I haven't yet established a pattern for when this happens. Anyone else seeing this?

My preference is to specify a folder of my choice and have the game installed there. Oh no - well at least I can specify the disk - my D drive. Let's go - over 100GB I'll leave it downloading thru the night. Was able to specify a folder for packages - ok good. Morning: oh no download failed at around 10% some error code I forgot to note. Restarted. Something not right as there's still loads to download, but it's going into a settings menu, which isn't quite right as all the menu options are code variables for what the actual text should be. Man. I spent about 4 hours just flying the X-Cub around in mountains between Bozeman and Yellowstone. My original goal was to overfly Yellowstone. Never made it, was too busy gawping at the scenery on the way and occasionally landing in meadows just because I could. . Airliner systems need a lot of work, the more advanced autopilots need a lot of work, ATC and live weather need a lot of work (or at least a lot more server capacity), and someone needs to calm the control inputs down so I can zoom in and out in the cockpit at a sane rate. I've set the correct axes, L-AXIS X (left) and L-AXIS Y (right). However, when I press the pedals all the way down, they "reset" to the starting position. Ticking the reverse option doesn't do anything.

Hello, I already asked this question on the official forum, but in case anyone here is a graphic designer, can share their thought on this: Did you notice that the Microsoft Flight Simulator logo is not on any of the splash screens or menus when the sim launches? As a designer myself, I am trying to see if this is something they might have forgot to implement or the logo was not implemented for xy reason.
